Chapter 2

I woke up the next day feeling exhausted and went to my studio. But to my dismay, I found Gwyneth standing there.

Brandon had built this studio specifically for me, and it contained countless paintings I had done for him. I also painted a portrait of us right in the very center, of us embracing.

In the past, I found it very sweet when I looked at it. But I just realized how ironic it was when I looked at it now.

Gwyneth held a lighter to the painting and clicked the flame on.

"Don't you think that these paintings are trash? They're such an eyesore, you know?"

She was provoking me, but I didn't feel angry. I just thought about the deception that she and Brandon had inflicted on me over the years, and all I felt was a sense of disgust.

However, my reaction angered her. She raised her hand to hit me. Right at that moment, footsteps sounded outside the door, and she changed her mind and quickly set fire to her dress instead. Then, she lay down on the floor and screamed.

"Ow! It hurts! Help me! Save me!"

Brandon heard her and immediately rushed in to put out the fire on her dress. She took the chance to say, "Donny, please don't get mad at Adline for this. I'm sure that she just has some sort of misunderstanding about me. I'm not gravely hurt at all. Please don't be mad."

Brandon immediately flew into a rage when he saw how close Gwyneth's thighs were to being hurt. He grabbed the lighter from her hand and immediately set fire to the rest of my paintings.

The painting of me and him embracing was immediately engulfed in flames.

I felt a pain in my chest and thought of trying to put out the fire, but I hesitated. Perhaps it was better if the painting ended up burned to ashes anyway.

However, Gwyneth was still crying and screaming that he was in great pain.

"Donny, I really had such a terrible fright just now! The fire nearly burned my boobs!"

While speaking, she kept nudging Brandon's arm with her gigantic boobs, and I clearly saw the lust appearing in his eyes.

Yet, when he turned to me, his eyes were filled with nothing but rage and anger.

He grabbed my shirt and dragged me into the room next door, which was pitch-dark. I was so scared that I shivered.

"No, Brandon, don't lock me up in here! I'm scared…"

I had an immense claustrophobia and fear of the dark, and he was well aware of it. The villa was always brightly lit when I was there, and Brandon would also make sure to leave a night light on even when we went to sleep.

But now, he was locking me up in a completely dark room, all for Gwyneth's sake.

I fell to the ground in a heap and curled around myself, begging and pleading with him.

"Please, don't do it, Brandon! Don't lock me up!"

He just glanced at me briefly and frowned.

"Consider this a small punishment for what you did to Gwyn. But don't worry. I'll let you out again once she's not angry anymore."

"No! Don't do it!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs, and Brandon hesitated only slightly before ultimately leaving me behind.

I curled into a heap on the floor in fear. However, I suddenly heard lewd, disgusting sounds from outside.

Brandon and Gwyneth were having sex right outside my door.

I froze at once. Meanwhile, their lewd moans and growls only continued all throughout the night.

I spent the entire night with my eyes wide open, completely dry from tears now.

Someone finally came to let me out the next day. Gwyneth proudly showed off the hickeys on her neck and said arrogantly, "Don't think that you can do whatever you want just because you're going to be Donny's Luna."

She then stuck out her chest at me and gave my flat chest a disdainful glance. "Someone like you will never measure up to me for the rest of your life!

"You heard everything, didn't you? Donny's completely in love with me. He fucked me all night long, you know?"

I scrambled up from the floor. Then, under her shocked eyes, I delivered two tight, resounding slaps to her face.

She screamed in surprise and ran straight into Brandon's arms, who'd come up to see what had happened.

Just as he was about to yell at me, I beat him to it and said, "We are breaking up, Brandon Clawhill."

"What the hell did you just say?"

Brandon was stunned when he heard me, freezing at once as a hint of panic flashed in his eyes. He instinctively tried to grab my hand.

"Lina! Stop throwing a fuss over this! We're going to be holding our mating ceremony soon. Stop spouting nonsense."

A split second later, Gwyneth began crying in his arms. "My face hurts so much, Donny. Adlina's claws also hit me in the boobs just now. Can you please help me take a look at it?"

Brandon actually looked at her protruding boobs and even checked them carefully before me.

Gwyneth looked at me triumphantly, but her voice was still nasally as she fake-sobbed, "I know that you're only doing this to get Donny's attention, Adlina, but you don't have to worry.

"I won't get in the way of your relationship. I love Donny very much, but since you don't like me, I'm very willing to leave and never come back ever!"

Then, she turned to leave.

Brandon panicked at once. He turned to me and said in pure dissatisfaction, "You'd better fucking behave yourself if this is just some underhanded tactic to get my attention, Adlina Redfang!"

I found it ironic listening to him say that. My mind somewhat wandered off as I watched him pull Gwyneth farther into his arms in a daze.

Just then, an easel that had somehow caught fire fell straight toward me.
