PAST

"I still can't believe there can be such a thing." Chiara said, looking at Amelia in disbelief.

"I don't even know what that thing is called." Livina asked, frowning at them in confusion.

"It's heteropaternal superfecundation." Giulia said, letting out a heavy exhale. Her shoulders dropped.

"A rare case where a woman releases two eggs and they are fertilised by different men..." Amelia cut off Chiara, snapping at her.

"You don't need to explain, Chiara. You can tell my husband if you want to." Amelia glared at her.

"I'm not planning to. I swear of my baby Angelo." Chiara shook her head and placed her hand on her shoulder. "You shouldn't run a DNA test." She suggested it to her friend.

"I know." Amelia said with tears in her eyes. "But I need to know. They are my babies." She told them.

"You don't look at Shelly as you look at Armando. You're putting his life in danger. You know who our husbands are." Rosa told her.

"Mafia bosses! Armando is only three years old." Tears ran down Amelia's face, she looked down at her hands as tears dripped.

Rosa cupped her cheek. "I'm worried about you, Lia. You should talk to Eleanor. I'll talk to Leo. They'll help you." She whispered to her and ran her thumb under her eye.

Their eyes widened in fear. "No, I would never recommend this. You're speaking because you have seen only the lovely side of your husband. I don't wanna imagine what they do in dungeons and with their enemies." Giulia said, shivering in fear.

"Yes, ask me. My husband doesn't know the difference between his enemies and his wife. I'm nothing more than a thing to warm his bed and carry his sons." Chiara said, flattening her lips, a shiver ran down her body and her eyes flashed with hatred for her husband.

"Yes, Jenoah is a cruel bastard." Livina said with hate.

"Am I?" They shuddered in fear as a heavy male voice echoed in the hall. Their heads snapped at the door.

Livina's eyes widened in fear as she looked at the door. "Oh, Jenoah!!" She said, stuttering in fear. Her hands trembled in fear. "I was joking." She stuttered, forcing a smile.

Jenoah walked in using his long strides. He smiled at them. "I thought. You women would be discussing fashion, whose dress was best? But I found something very interesting here." He said, his gaze turned to Amelia. His smile broadened as he had just found a box of hidden gems.

Amelia narrowed her eyes at him. "Don't forget your place, Jenoah." She snapped at him as her voice was solid, and her eyes shot him a cold look.

Jenoah chuckled as he shook his head. "You don't know a thing, Amelia." His smile dropped as he narrowed his eyes at Amelia.

Chiara drew on her feet fearfully. "Jenoah." She said as she forced a smile his way. "Let's not interfere in their lives." She took a small step forward.

Jenoah's face contorted in anger. He turned to his wife sharply and slapped her hard across her face.

For a second, it went dead silent. Rosa glared at him. "How dare you!" Rosa shot to her feet, her hand securely resting on the side of her stomach.

"You won't tell me what to do, stupid bitch!" Jenoah growled, slapping his wife again.

"Stop your nonsense, Jenoah." Amelia snapped, getting on her feet as well.

Jenoah looked at Amelia and Rosa. "Strong women!" He chuckled, mocking them. "They should treat you like this." He turned to his wife and clenched her jaw in his hold. "What are you doing here? Who's looking after my son, Whore?" He growled.

"Let her go or I'll shoot you in your filthy head." Rosa snapped.

He shoved his wife away. "Get out of my sight." He told Chiara.

Poor Chiara. She shivered and trembled in fear, looking embarrassed.

Jenoah had always hidden his cruel side from the world until that moment. Her heels clicked against the floor as she made her way out of the hall.

Jenoah turned to Rosa and smiled at her. "I think it's confession day. I have something to confess as well." He chuckled.

"We are not interested in your fucking shit! Get out of here." Amelia said as she settled down in her seat and took hold of her cup.

I awoke the next morning, feeling exhausted, and cocooned securely in the ring of his arm. I gently caressed the back of his hand, and rested my hand on his arm. He moved under my touch, pressing his hard body against mine. I felt his lips pressing against my temple. "Mi esposa! Te amo hasta la luna y más allá, vida mía." He whispered huskily in my ear. My eyes shot open. I turned in the ring of his arm, looking at him with wide eyes. "Is this because I was a virgin?" I asked him, almost shouting in exasperation. Suddenly, I felt furious as I glared at him. His eyebrows pulled together and he shook his head. "I love you from the very first moment I saw you, Wife." He said as he kissed the top of my head. I relaxed in his arms, resting my head to his chest. I heard his steady heartbeat , while my heart was running in my chest. Why did I agree with him so easily? I should be furious. "Are you hurt anywhere?" He asked, looking worried, stroking my back

  • Ruthless Russo   Chapter Eighty Three

Amateo was abruptly yanked back and tossed aside like a crumbled paper. I lifted my gaze and who I saw astounded me more. Vene coldly glared at his brother, his lips pressed into a thin line. I thought I was home alone, so I wanted to go for a walk. Then Amateo saw me and began to taunt me about my training. "Your hands should only be used to protect her." He growled at his brother, something in a foreign language. I watched them with a dropped jaw. Was he defending me? I could have anticipated this from Russo, but I realized Vene wouldn't harm me. "What! We were just training. You killed the fun, man." Amateo said, rubbing his shoulder, looking in slight pain. Vene shook his head and looked down at me. "Are you alright?" He asked me. I nodded my head immediately. "Yes, thanks." I muttered to him. Vene's gaze travelled down to my clothes, and a deep frown appeared on his forehead. Nervously, I chewed on my lower lip. I w

  • Ruthless Russo   Chapter Eighty Two

I was dreading the idea of facing my seething husband. Since that night, I hadn't seen Matt and Fabio. I feared for them. His anger would lash out at them, because they were my bodyguards. My thoughts nervously shifted to facing him, enduring his wrath again. He didn't return home after that night. I prayed he wouldn't show up in the dining room either. I couldn't refrain him from going and coming into his own home. I was nothing more than a decorative piece of his room. With my heart beating in my throat, I climbed down the stairs. I glanced around. My hands shivered. Night had already fallen, I kept myself locked into his room, starving. I couldn't endure it anymore. I stopped dead in my tracks as I noticed his menacing gaze already fixed on me. I lowered my gaze as I forced myself to climb down the remaining steps. Everyone was already seated. Vene was focused on his laptop while waiting for dinner to be served. I avoided looking at Amateo. He would find m

He grabbed my hand and tugged me out of the hotel towards the parking lot. It was midnight. Our surroundings were less crowded. I was startled, hearing a sudden noise. His soft smile never left him. "It's my phone." He said and reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. He glanced at the display. "I need to take this." He said under his breath, his hand slid off my lower back as he walked away to answer the call. "What's it?" His voice turned icy. I felt a void without his touch as my gaze followed him. He turned his back to me. I watched him, admiring his muscular body. I shouldn't be drawn to his god-like appearance, he was a dangerous, and ruthless person. "Hello," A gruff voice startled me, spinning me around on my heels. My wide eyes stared at him. A man in a dark hood stood beside me and forwarded another stride. He was too close. His eyes were dark. Indeed, I couldn't make out much of his features as shadows fell across his face. I instinctiv

According to my brothers I was stepping into the lion's den. My father remained silent all the time, not objecting to my wedding at all. I swallowed down my saliva as I entered his office. I stood in front of his mahogany desk. I exhaled exhaustingly. He should be in his office. They acted calm and gentlemen around me, particularly my brothers. I was aware their real faces would be disturbing for my mental health. My past haunted me. I kept it to myself. No amount of training could wash away the fear I had endured. I spun to leave, noticing his office was empty. I was startled by his sudden appearance behind me. My hand shot to my running heart. He frightened me. Was he hiding in his office? I didn't see him while entering or I didn't hear the door opening behind me. "You need to stop doing that." Russo said, flattening his lips as he walked over to his desk and reached for his files. "It's your fault. You should make some noise when you walk."

A cool evening breeze blew across the garden area, providing relief from the summer heat. I closed my eyes. I missed my family, my mother and aunts. "You want some cookies?" Matt asked me, extending a plate towards me. Fabio kept staring in a particular direction, he appeared more at ease here. I could understand that he was home, surrounded by his own people. "No, thank you." I told him, shaking my head politely. "You look a bit down today." Fabio suddenly asked. "I don't know what you're saying." I tried to dodge his concern. Fabio looked at me. "It has been three years. We know what things bring you joy and sorrow. You'll get addicted to your new home." He said. "Why couldn't my husband see this?" I muttered to myself. "We'll take our leave." Fabio suddenly said, pushing himself away from the truck. They didn't wait for my response and began to walk away. "I'll go wit..." I stopped myself as I had a glimps

I observed everything through the cracks of my eyes, pretending to be asleep. He had his back to me, but my kidnappers were unconscious. He tied them up and took pictures of each of them. I pushed myself up fearfully. My sight was still blurry, and I stumbled. "Ma'am," He sai

I chose not to join them. Instead, I preferred to sit far away from them in a comfortable chair. The fire pit provided a comforting warmth. Although the sun was obscured in the sky, I could feel the slight warmth of it, the wind was calm. "Are you certain you don't wa

I frowned at my bodyguard as I shot him a resentful look. Father had insisted, he almost forced me into this situation. For some reason, I just didn’t feel like obeying him. "Why don't you go somewhere else and enjoy your time?" I asked him. He was a very tall, stocky brown man with a
