FEELING HIS TOUCH

ARIANA'S POV.

The silence  inside Kael Draven's chamber was very heavy,refusing to end even after his words settled between them.

My beast refuses to let you go Ariana . Her heartbeat racing against her clothe while his fingers still rested against the side of her neck, it was Warm, Possessive yet Dangerous, Too dangerous .

She immediately pulled away from him, creating distance between them again You speak about me like I'm an object that you just found she whispered angrily.

Kael watched her carefully, his silver eyes unreadable under the dim light.

You are misunderstanding something Ariana ,His deep voice remained calm .Objects can be replaced but you can't be replaced.The intensity in his tone made her stomach tighten.

The room suddenly became smaller

Ariana hated the way his gaze affected her. It was too suffocating Like she being trapped under something massive and wild that could destroy her whenever it wanted. To worsen it, a part of her was beginning to notice him and enjoy his touch so much.

The sharp line of his jaw, the scar under his collar, the dangerous calmness hiding brutal violence , Everything about Kael Draven felt forbidden and terrifyingly attractive.

Ariana immediately looked away from him, that tiny reaction did not escape the Draven

A slow smirk appeared briefly across his lips.

You're staring me up again

Her face heated up instantly , I am not, you're lying 

The teasing coming from him kael was too strange for Ariana and before Ariana could answer, another loud knock interrupted the tension filling the room.

Kael's expression immediately hardened, Come in, and the doors opened slowly and a young woman stepped inside wearing an elegant silver dress that marked high rank within the castle she was Beautiful, Cold, and clearly furious.

The moment her eyes landed on Ariana, hatred flashed openly across her face.

Ariana stiffened slightly because of the woman's gaze.

The lady bowed gracefully toward Kael first "Your Majesty."

Kael remained emotionless. What do you want, Selene?

Even her name sounded sharp, I heard rumors, the woman said carefully while staring directly at Ariana.I came to see if they were true;

Her eyes slowly moved over Ariana's appearance with obvious judgment and Disgust followed immediately afterward. is this the girl?

Ariana's jaw tightened Kael noticed instantly, She has a name he said coldly.

Selene looked surprised by the warning in his voice then, her expression darkened slightly .My King, she continued carefully, "the council is already questioning your decision. Bringing a wolfless outsider into Shadowcrest is dangerous enough. But keeping her in your private chambers is unacceptable your Majesty.

She stays here and that's final.

The finality in Kael's voice silenced the room immediately.

Selene's face turned pale slightly. Your Majesty...

Kael slowly stepped forward with the atmosphere becoming too heavy.. I hate repeating myself Selene. 

Ariana silently watched them , jealousy burning through selene's eyes and realization hit her that Selene Loves Kael , it was too obvious. 

Selene turned towards Arianna with a wicked grin and said softly, do you realize where you are? Women of high status kill themselves just to have Kael, Then they can have him . This really amused kael and Selene was terrified. I think You should learn your place because no one stands the king for long, Selene quickly added.

Arianna's gaze shifted to KAEL and he immediately noticed . Unexpectedly , he moved fast and pulled her into his body with one hand wrapped around her waist , his face close to hers 

Arianna wanted to pull back but Kael was possessive and muttered under his breath staring at Selene, She's still here .Selene was enraged. Ariana was no longer herself because of the heat of Kael's body with his hands still pressing against her waist.

His touch sent chills down her spine , this made her face down,immediately looked away This made Kael's silver brow to darken.

Arianna! He said behind her ears , look at me.

She looked up slowly their eyes locked and the atmosphere became heavy and intense .

Kael's eyes slowly stopped at her lips , she thought he was going to kiss her and Her heart skipped then suddenly, a deep growl came from Kael's chest, it was not jealousy or anger.

He frowned as another scent entered the room and it was a male. Kael's silver eyes became cold and a voice Spoke from the hallway. 

So it's true?

The atmosphere inside the chamber became suffocating the moment the stranger entered.Kael Draven's arm remained firmly around Ariana's waist while his silver eyes stayed locked on the man standing at the doorway he was Tall,Dark-haired,handsome but unlike Kael's terrifying presence, this man carried something colder and Sharper.

He was a predator hiding behind elegance.

He bowed slightly. "Your Majesty."

Kael's expression remained unreadable. "What do you want, Lucien?"

Lucien's golden eyes slowly shifted toward Ariana interest flashed across his face.

So this is the girl powerful enough to make the ruthless Lycan King lose control..Kael's grip tightened immediately around Ariana.

The pressure made her heartbeat race Lucien noticed immediately and smiled because that's what he wants .

I heard the guards whispering, he continued calmly while stepping further inside the roomI didn't believe them Kael Draven claiming a mate? He chuckled softly. That sounded impossible

Ariana felt the dangerous tension rising between the two men.

Selene wisely stepped backward toward the corner of the room she even looked nervous now.

Kael's voice became ice cold , you'll Choose your next words carefully.

Lucien lifted his hands slightly in mock surrender. Relax, I only came to see the woman turning Shadowcrest upside down in a single night.

Ariana slightly frowned with a worry, i'm not trying to cause any problem please 

Lucien's eyes met hers fully for the first time and d suddenly,His expression changed Confusion flickered across his face His gaze sharpened intensely as though sensing something impossible ,Kael noticed instantly.

The air around Kael's darkened dangerously.

What did you smell?" Kael asked quietly.Lucien remained silent for long, Too long.

Ariana's pulse began racing again Finally, Lucien spoke carefully.

She doesn't smell wolfless.

The room froze.

Selene looked horrified That's impossible. Lucien kept staring at Ariana with growing disbelief.

There's something hidden inside her scent, he murmured slowly and it's Something ancient.

Kael's silver eyes flashed violently.

For the first time since Ariana met she noticed that the Lycan King looks shaken.

Ariana stepped backward and said, don't understand what you're talking about.

Neither man answered immediately.

The tension inside the room became unbearable Then Pain suddenly exploded inside Ariana's chest, A sharp gasp escaped her lips as she grabbed the edge of the nearby table for support Heat spread under her skin.

Her heartbeat began racing wildly and uneven while strange energy pulsed through her body.

Kael grabbed her instantly 

Ariana!

His voice sounded darker in Concern. The room around her blurred slightly as another painful wave crashed through her chest.

Something was happening, there is something wrong ,Or perhaps something awakening.

Ariana looked up fearfully just as silver light flashed briefly beneath the skin near her collarbone.

Everyone saw it ,Selene stumbled backward in horror.
