Author’s POV

Ava sat in the passenger seat, her phone pressed tightly to her ear, her hand trembling slightly. Beside her, Derek stared out the window.

“I’m sorry, ma’am,” Ava said into the phone, her voice soft and remorseful, her eyes darting nervously.

“What should I do?” Ava asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.

  • STOLEN LEGACY: The Heiress's Revenge    Mr. Gab's Story

Liora's POVMr. Gab's lips curved into a bitter, pain-filled smile. "I wish he was here to help."Derek frowned. "What do you mean?""The Blackwing always knew whenever someone was about to expose them. They found the group before they could act... and sadly, my son was one of them."His voice faltered as another tear slid down. "The five of them were marked for death, but my son managed to escape. He ran with everything he had until he made it home."He paused, swallowing hard. "Like I told you, once you're on their list, they dig into every detail of your life. They tracked my son's home... then they traced his older sister, my daughter who had moved away years earlier for work."My eyes widened.Years earlier... and they still found her? No wonder Elian had spoken about Derek as though he had known him for years."They dragged her back home. By then, my son had already told me everything. I had just returned..." His voice cracked. "...and right before my eyes, they shot them both."

  • STOLEN LEGACY: The Heiress's Revenge    Blackwing

Liora's POV*The next day*I was already dressed by the time the morning sun filtered through my curtains. Slinging my bag over my shoulder, I took one last steadying breath before stepping outside.Derek was already waiting beside the car, one hand resting on the open passenger door. The moment he saw me, he pulled it open even wider.Without a word, I slid into the seat.He circled the vehicle and climbed in beside me while Cole started the engine. Moments later, we pulled away from the house."I hope Mr. Gab is doing better." I said breaking the silence.Derek reached across the console and gently wrapped his hand around mine, his grip firm yet comforting."He'll be fine," he said quietly.I wanted to believe him. I released a slow breath and stared out the window as the city blurred past.We arrived at the hospital as Derek stepped out first before opening my door. I accepted his hand, and together we walked inside, he led me toward the doctor's office. The doctor rose from his c

Author's POVLucien sat quietly in the living room, a white bandage wrapped around one side of his face. Beside him, Bianca clung to his arm, her tiny fingers twisting nervously in her lap."I want to go home," she said in a trembling little voice.Lucien stared ahead without responding."I want to go home and see Mummy. She should be back by now."Her lower lip quivered as she lowered her head, trying hard not to cry.Stephanie walked into the room and immediately noticed Bianca's tearful face."She's still crying?" she asked softly as she sat down.Lucien remained silent as his stomach suddenly growled.Stephanie turned toward him. "How are you feeling?""Better," he answered quietly. She studied his face for a moment before asking, "Do you need anything?"As if answering for him, his stomach growled again, louder this time. Lucien instinctively pressed a hand against it."I'll be right back."A few minutes later, Stephanie returned carrying a tray of food and placed it in front of

  • STOLEN LEGACY: The Heiress's Revenge    In Your Arms

Liora's POV"Who is he?" I asked, my voice laced with worry."He's working for a man named Lorenzo," Derek explained. "The same man who sponsored him throughout school and paid for everything."I nodded slowly. No wonder Mum had always said he was on a scholarship."But I still don't know what Lorenzo is involved in or what exactly Elian is doing for him." He sighed. "I have a feeling Mr. Gab might know."The engine roared to life, and the car sped out. A sudden thought struck me and I quickly turned to Derek."What if Mr. Gab gets attacked at the hospital now that we're leaving?" I asked anxiously.A reassuring smile crossed his face. "That's already under control."I frowned. "What do you mean?""I left Rafe there to watch over him."Relief instantly washed over me.Just then, Derek's phone lit up again. It had been ringing repeatedly, but he merely glanced at the screen before locking it without answering.Soon, we arrived home but the moment we stepped into the living room, I foun

Liora's POVMy fingers tightened around the steering wheel as I sped down the road. Just then, a towering hospital building came into view.Without a second thought, I swerved into the emergency entrance. The moment the car came to a halt, I threw the door open."Nurse! Somebody help!" "I'll try my best."With that, I headed outside and slipped into the car. Pulling out my phone, I scrolled through my contacts before dialing Rafe, my assistant."Good morning, Boss," Rafe answered."I'll be away for a while. Handle everything at the company until I get back.""Boss... if you don't mind me saying this...""What is it?""The executives have started asking about you, Boss. Your absence is beginning to attract attention.”My expression hardened. "Rafe.""Yes, Boss?""I didn't ask for your opinion.
