MasukElena's POV
I hate the fact that my father, Alpha Barker, loves Amelia, a low-life he picked from the streets, more than we, his children.
He even has the guts to tell us that we should always show her some respect; thank goodness for Mom; if not, I would have either killed her or sent her to exile for making us share our father with her.
I promise to make her life a living hell every day as long as Dad is not always around.
"She seems less busy, what do you think we can do to frustrate her?" I asked my twin brother who is also my partner in crime.
If not for his words of encouragement every day, I know what I would have done to Amelia.
He supports everything I choose to do for Amelia.
"How about we call her in, plant a bucket of paint on the door so when she opens the door she spills the paint on the floor in the process.
You and I know that paints are the hardest to clean on a tiled floor once it's more than five minutes," Ellen said.
"Hmm! That's a good idea. Just wondering what I would have done if I didn't have you as a twin." I said smiling.
I secretly went into the storage room, took a bucket of paint, and placed it where it would before calling out to Amelia.
"Here, you called for.." Amelia pushed open the door, and immediately, the paint fell on her.
Thankfully, she was putting on one of her favorite white dresses. I looked at Ellen before bursting into a peal of heavy laughter.
"Amelia, check out what you just did to my room. Paint in my beautiful room, mom must hear about this." I said storming out of the room angrily.
"I wasn't the one that poured the paint, Luna," Amelia said immediately she saw me coming closer with my mom.
"No Mom, that's a lie. She thought I wasn't inside, she even poured it on herself intentionally when she noticed I was inside my room.
All my whole room is stained with paint." I said, faking a cry.
"Amelia, I want this floor cleaned in thirty minutes." My mom said walking back to her room.
We all know that thirty minutes won't be enough for her but I really enjoyed the show.
"Ellen, let's leave her to clean the stained floor. Make sure nothing goes missing in my room," I said before walking away with Ellen to his room so he could show me the new things he bought for the mating ceremony.
I already spoke to my mom earlier, and she had promised me that the Alpha of the crescent pack would be my mate even though I'm just sixteen, but who cares about age?
A day before the mating ceremony, I noticed Amelia sneaking out in the early hours. While she was sneaking back in, I noticed she was holding something in her hand.
I sneaked behind her, looked through the hole in her door, and saw a beautiful gown being placed on her bed; instantly, I rushed to my mom.
"What is it, Elena?" My mom asked, staring blankly at me.
"Mom, you promised me that Amelia was never going to attend the mating ceremony tomorrow but I just saw her sneak in with a beautiful dress," I said angrily.
"Is that why you are upset?" My mom asked.
"Yes," I replied, still not looking at her.
"I told you that I have everything handled, she's not going to attend the mating ceremony." My mom said,
After much persuasion, I calmed my nerves down and went off to my room.
The mating ceremony day came, and I already overheard my mom relegating some tasks to Amelia; it would take a whole day to clean the pack house.
If Dad asks of her, I would simply tell him she decided not to come of her own will. I thought as I stared at the mirror happily.
While cleaning my face, I noticed her peeping through my door. I was about to confront her when I overheard Ellen's voice.
I trust him to do a perfect job.
"That witch was at your door staring at you, all thanks to Mom's voice. You should have seen how she took to her heels immediately after she heard her voice." Ellen said bursting into laughter.
"I wanted to come but I refrained myself so I won't ruin my beautiful make-up," I said.
"I can't wait to come over to the crescent pack every weekend and spend the night with you," Ellen said, hugging me from the back.
Though we were always at each other's throats I was surely going to miss him. We were still enjoying our moments together when a message suddenly popped up on my iPad.
"Who is that?" Ellen asked.
"It's the head of the omegas," I responded.
"What does the message say?" Ellen asked, helping me to pack my hair in a ponytail.
"Amelia is done with her chores," I said feeling shocked.
"How did she do that in under one hour?" Ellen asked, looking at me confusedly.
I replied to the head of the Omegas and asked her to delay Amelia while we carried out the plan B my mom gave us.
I took out the scissors in my wardrobe while Ellen followed me with a very sharp blade.
We got to Amelia's room and searched everywhere till we saw where she hung the dress. I looked at it with disgust and without wasting much time, we proceeded to cut everything into pieces and throw them in different directions.
When we were done, we sneaked back to my room where I continued preparing for the mating ceremony.
"Did you notice her passing by now?" Ellen asked. I nodded and we both laughed.
I got prepared and walked outside towards where the others were seated waiting to be chosen by the Alphas.
I winked at my mom before proceeding to sit down.
Since my mom had already told me that I would be chosen by Alpha Kessler of the crescent pack, I was less worried while the other Alphas chose their mates.
Just when I thought I was the only one left, a lady dressed in blue attire came in and sat a few chairs away from mine.
Jealousy aside, she wore a beautiful gown that looked elegant and more captivating in her body.
I looked at her wondering who she was. Soon, it was Alpha Kessler's turn. I adjusted my dress and hair so I would be more noticeable, but unexpectedly, I saw him pointing fingers at the lady seated next to me.
"What?" I screamed.
I looked at my mom who told me to calm down. Maybe he was just testing my patience but when I heard him again, I knew I was all done.
But who is this lady and where did she appear from?
I asked myself eagerly, ready to see the face of the lady.
A few minutes later, an elder stood up and asked her to unveil herself.
I was shocked when the lady turned out to be Amelia.
"Amelia!!!" I screamed at the top of my voice not minding the crowd.
"Mom, what am I going to do?" I asked as tears flowed freely down my cheeks.
"We would try plan B since this didn't work out." My mom said, staring angrily at Amelia.
"What's the plan B Mom?" I asked.
Elena's POVI was busy raging in anger when Raina and Seth walked out on me this morning. If I had known that things would turn out this way having Raina here, I would have sent her to the early grave I sent Amelia to.I was busy relaxing in my room and thinking of other things when someone suddenly barged into my room, breathing heavily. I looked up and realized it was Irving."What's wrong with you, Irving? How dare you barge into my room?" I asked, standing on my feet as I walked closer to her."I'm sorry..." Irving couldn't say anything due to her heavy breathing.I moved to my table and handed a glass of water to her so she could cool down her nerves. After a few minutes, I looked up at her again."Why did you barge into my room, Irving?" I asked, staring at her with all act of seriousness."I'm sorry about that, Luna; it's just that I couldn't withhold what I just saw, and I thought to tell you immediately," Irving said, which got my listening ears."What could that be?" I asked
Raina's POVAs we walked down the stairs, I could notice Seth's angry face, but I was too scared preventing him from transferring aggression to me.After a while of standing behind him outside, I decided to face my fear and speak up."Are you okay? Why don't you call the Lycan king since Alpha Kessler has decided to speak with him?" I asked, shifting backward."I've been so eager to get the both of them to settle the rift between them, but Kessler has been preventing me from doing that.He held me back till he almost lost everything, if he had settled the scores he had with the Lycan king years ago, his life wouldn't have turned out like this," Beta Seth said. I could feel the anger in his voice even though he looked calm and collected."I understand you, but all that is in the past, and there's still a chance to amend the future. That's why he wants to see him," I said convincingly."Really? But, it's too late already. He should have spoken up when he started having issues with the A
Amelia's POV"Are you sure you really want this?" My wolf asked as I paced around the room."Yes, but I'm scared," I replied, staring at myself in the mirror."Then you shouldn't opt in considering what Kessler had put you through a year ago. I wouldn't want to go through another emotional trauma with you, so it's better you tell the Lycan king or whatever he is called that you are not interested in the whole thing and you guys can go your separate ways," my wolf said."Can't you just encourage me for once instead of pushing me away? You should try to consider how I feel," I said, touching my chest."How you feel is none of my business Amelia, but how I feel. Don't fall in love with anyone again; just maintain a friendship relationship with the Lycan king; that's all I want. Is that too much to ask as your wolf?" My wolf asked."Yes Wolfie, you are being selfish here and not considering how I feel also. Don't worry about telling me what to do; I will navigate through all this myself,"
Lycan King Marrock's POVIt hasn't been a day since I and Amelia moved to the next city and we are already exploring our surroundings.I had the intention of driving her to the next city and then breaking the news to her that I'd decided to move with her, but I just couldn't hold myself back from sharing the news.It was like a shock to her, but when I nodded and confirmed what I said, she was happy and started packing all my clothes."What's going on in your mind, Marrock?" Amelia asked, jerking me off my thoughts."Nothing much Amelia, just watching our surroundings and the city we just moved into," I replied, smiling."If that's what is going on in your mind, I can't argue with you about that. Where next are we going to?" Amelia asked, smiling at me."Let's head back home to rest. We just arrived here today, and we need all the rest we can get because we will be getting much busier from tomorrow," I said, holding her hands."Really? But, I still want to have some fun tonight," Amel
Raina's POVIt's been three days since Elena came back from the Paxon pack and I couldn't recognize her anymore. She seemed so different and a changed person.Other things, I would stare at her till she finally walked away and one thing I noticed about her was her constant checking of her phone. She held her phone and checked it every second. She never raised her voice at me again or at anyone in the pack house. All she does is stare at everyone misbehaving and shake her head. Sometimes, I would feel like moving closer to her to have a conversation about what's wrong with her, but other times I would be happy because she isn't raising her voice at me.I was busy staring at Elena one after as she looked at the mirror in the living room while I walked upstairs. I was lost in thoughts that I had no idea I had bumped into Seth."Good day, beta Seth, I'm sorry. I was just carried away," I said, shifting to the other side of the stairs."What got you so carried away that made you forget whe
Elena's POVI was so shocked at my father's recent behavior. He had never been like this ever since we were growing up."Mom, what are you going to do now?" I asked, staring at my mom's blank eyes."What's happening here?" Ellen asked, walking out of the kitchen."Dad left a few minutes ago saying he's going on a vacation and will be back anytime he wants to," I replied."What? Why didn't you stop him from going? Who is going to stay with Mom for the time being?" Ellen asked, staring at our faces."I tried stopping him, but he wasn't easy, and more so, you will be the one to stay with Mom. I have Kessler to take care of and the crescent pack really needs my attention," I replied."You mean the Kessler that I just finished speaking with needs to be taken care of?" Ellen asked."Yes," I replied, nodding my head."Kessler does not look like someone that is sick or bedridden like I heard earlier, so there's no need to go back to the crescent pack.Kessler can take care of his pack, and mo
I smiled at the strange guy before walking behind Kessler."He's handsome," "If I had known he would be attending the crescent banquet, I would have overdressed," I overheard the ladies whisper to themselves.I looked back and noticed they were all referring to the handsome guy I just left now.Bu
Amelia's POVWas it my fault that I was adopted? Being adopted isn't a crime right? I thought as I looked at the devil seated in front of Kessler."How could you?" I asked."I told you to watch your back but you wouldn't," Elena said, sticking out her tongue at me."Honey, I'm feeling uncomfortabl
Amelia's POVI became Kessler's Luna after he marked me as his mate. While leaving the Paxon pack, I noticed the disappointment in their faces but I ignored them and still smiled at them.Elena came closer, pretending to hug me, and said, "Watch your back because I'm right behind you." Elena whispe
Amelia's POV"Amelia, what are you still doing in that kitchen?" Elena called out angrily.I was about to respond before her voice came again."My feet won't wash themselves," Elena screamed again."I will be out in a moment," I screamed back at her.She asked me to make her a bowl of pasta and cle
