LOGINAria's POV:
“It's a lie!” I yelled, staggering back, as panic clawed at me, but there was nowhere to run. My back was against the sink and the men approached me with strong steps.
My claws itched, and a surge of werewolf strength ready to tear through them, but I knew brute force alone wouldn’t save me. I saw the weakness in my father's eyes. He was saying ‘It was over’, just not using his words.
My father was a gambler, a drunkard, and a man who had squandered nearly everything he worked for after Mother died. He had always been reckless and careless, but even in my worst nightmares, I refuse to believe that he would use me, his own daughter, as collateral.
My hands trembled as I struggled against the man’s grip, my claws itching to tear through them, yet I remained trapped, at the mercy of a stranger. They led me out of the house–defeated.
I wanted to tell myself that it wasn't real, but I had seen his signature countless times when settling his debts, yet never had I imagined it would be here, in the hands of a man who was holding me hostage.
My heart thundered in my chest as I struggled again, pushing at his arms with all my strength. “You… this can’t be real.” I whispered, panic sharp in my voice. “Dad! Do something” my last words cried for help, before I got pushed into their vehicle.
“Your father took a loan from me and then he gambled all day, promising that if he didn’t win and couldn’t pay back, he would offer his most prized possession in return.” The leader of the gang said, just before the vehicle drove off speedingly.
My pulse spiked at the seriousness in his tone as he let the words sink in, watching me carefully as tears streamed down my face. I looked out the window until our little home was out of sight.
I froze, unable to speak at first and my mind raced through every memory, hoping this man was lying, that I had misheard. A part of me was still praying for a miracle, for all of this to be a prank.
“This can’t be true!” I sobbed, when we were finally far enough from my home. My voice broke and I tried to fight against the fear consuming me.
“What if…” I tried to voice my idea, but I had lost every bit of confidence. “What if I paid you back?” I wiped my tears. “I can work extra shifts, pay up the debt.”
“It’s too late already.” The man sitting in front of the vehicle said. He gazed at me from the rear view mirror, while I sat trapped between the other two men.
“The slave traders have already paid me half the money, and once I send you over to them, I will receive the rest. So there’s no bargaining now, Aria.”
“No!” I screamed, fighting and crying all at the same time. “Somebody help me!” I cried, my voice echoing through the forest.
The driver's speed increased. One of the men pressed a handkerchief over my nose and mouth before I could finish my plea. My struggles grew frantic, and my claws dug into his arms, as everything went blank.
When I woke up, the first thing that hit me was the stench of sweat, dirt, and smoke as I opened my eyes slowly, and saw myself in a large, canvas-covered tent.
My head spun as realization dawned on me that this was the infamous slave camp at the center of the realm where anyone could purchase human property without question.
“No… no, this can’t be my fate!” I whispered to myself, and I scrambled to my feet and bolted for the tent’s entrance, my claws slicing through the fabric.
As expected, a guard was there to block my escape with his wide arms. “Let me go!” I yelled, lunging at him with everything I had.
But he grabbed me by the arms and dragged me back inside. I struggled violently, my claws scratching his armor, and began punching him in desperation. “Let me out! I… I cannot be a slave! I won’t! I’ve spent my whole life working toward becoming a physician. I… I cannot just… just…”
My words dissolved into sobs as frustration and despair coiled tight in my chest. The guard, clearly tired of my tantrums, slapped me across the face and shoved me to the ground. Pain blossomed across my cheek, but I didn’t stop. I scrambled forward, clinging to his legs, begging, crying, and pleading for release.
He kicked me, but I refused to let go even though the pain sharpened with each strike, yet I clung to him tightly with my claws scraping the dirt as his boots laded with force across my back and legs, trying to crush my spirit.
I screamed through the pain, holding on, refusing to surrender. Finally, his patience snapped, then he drew a sword, and my heart froze. The tip gleamed dangerously in the dim light, and I realized how close I had come to death
My breath came in jagged gasps as I stared up at him, trembling but defiant. Then, as if the gods themselves intervened, a man dressed sharply with authority radiating from him entered the tent, and grabbed the guard by the shoulder.
“This girl?” He said, voice calm yet commanding. “She is the most beautiful here, is she not?”
The guard blinked, some of his aggression leaving his eyes. Then he glanced around, nodded, and lowered his sword. “Yes, sir.” He said, stepping back, releasing me.
The man’s gaze swept over me, and then he gestured toward four other girls in the corner. “All five of you will be taken to the stream.” He said, tapping the guard’s shoulders.
“There you will have your bath and put on the new clothing I have prepared for each of you because someone will be arriving shortly to transport you to the Hellbound Pack. There, you will assume your duties as Alpha Draven's personal breeders.”
On hearing his words, my hands shook, and my claws flexed instinctively as I sank to the ground, tears spilling freely on realizing that everything I had worked hard for was slipping through my fingers.
Will I really become the breeder of a man rumored to be notorious for his cruelty, and for bending lives to his will?
ARIA’S POVEvery step I took away from the pack house left me feeling emptier.By the time I was far enough, it was like there was a pit in my stomach. I could feel the raw unfiltered air in my abdomen.“I would ask if you’re okay, but you don’t look okay.”“Agatha!”I wrapped my arms firmly around her and wouldn’t let go.It was the first ounce of warmth I had felt in weeks.“Okay, big baby.”Agatha patted my back and consoled me as I sobbed uncontrollably in her arms.It took almost an hour to get my eyes to run out of tears and Agatha sat with me through every second of it.“I’ve lost everything, Agatha. Everything.” I lamented. “Even in death, Logan still manages to win somehow.”“Shhh…don’t say that.” She said softly.“It doesn’t feel like a lot right now, but you survived.”She was right. As far as I was concerned, I was better off dead. Death was better than the empty life I now had.“Logan only wins if you let him…” she continued. “He is nothing but dust and ash now and if you
ARIA’S POVEvery bit of the renunciation broke me.The ritual was as physically painful as it was emotionally taunting.I passed out as soon as it was complete and was pulled away from Draven immediately.A smile covered my lips when I opened my eyes.“Baby,”Caleb and Aya were hovering over me and their face being the first thing I got to see filled a part of the emptiness I was feeling inside, following the renunciation ritual.“Mom,” they threw their little arms around me.A drop of tear trickled down my cheek as I recognized the room I had been placed in. The same room that served as a prison to Draven when he would lose it.“How are you?”Caleb ran to the door, unable to answer my question and leaving me confused there for a second.“Aya, we have to go,” he said, “They’re coming. We have to go.”The sense of urgency was alarming.“We were told we would only be allowed to see you under supervision and when you wake up, but we couldn’t wait and sneaked down here…”“Aya!”She had to
ARIA’S POVI stood by the bed, staring at his motionless body.I could not decide which was worse—that he was dead, which was my first thought, or that he was lying down here at the verge of death because of me.“Mummy, will he wake up?” The kids had tears in their eyes as they asked.Tears flowed down my cheeks.I hope that he would, but I knew better.Ragner walked into the room quietly with two maids and a guard.“Get them settled.”The maids pulled Caleb and Aya away from Ragner’s body.“The physician wants to speak with you,” I confirmed with a nod.“Is he ever going to wake up?” I probed, as soon as the man walked in.“There might be a way to make that happen,”My eyes lit up with something I hadn’t felt in a very long time—hope.“But you’re the only one who can make it happen.”“Say it. Tell me. I’d do anything.”The physician was not pleased by my enthusiasm and neither was Ragner, which was what led me to believe that there was more to this story.“You have to renounce the ma
ARIA’S POVAs soon as Agatha stepped out of the tent, the bell went off. The same bell that assembled and the entire camp reacted the same way they always did.I watched from the curtain of the tent as they all assembled.“They’re waiting for you,” Agatha said, walking to me and softly.“Me? You assembled them. What do you want me to tell them? That I killed Logan?”Agatha smiled. It amazed me how she could still smile amidst everything.Sure. Logan was getting on my last nerve and the whole essence of coming here was to find a way to conquer him, but I didn’t expect to claim his life with my bare hands.“I have never hurt anyone like that in my life before,” I stared at his body on the floor.“Listen to me,” Agatha held my face in her palms and stared directly into my eyes as she spoke. “That bastard hurt you. He had it coming.”She paused.“Quite frankly, if you didn’t do it and Madame Violetta hadn’t passed, she probably would have anyway.”I tilted my head to the side, agreeing wi
ARIA’S POV “Eventually, you would have to leave that bed. It’s been three days. Why are you acting like someone killed you?” I laid there in silence. I neither moved nor spoke. In the last three days, I hadn’t moved from the bed. I hadn’t eaten, bathed, or moved. I had barely done anything else other than breathe. Logan on the other hand had become the opposite of everything I knew. He was no longer obsessed with me, wanting to be everywhere I was, nor was he talking about our ‘dream family’. My whole life had crashed before my very eyes. I had lost everything. Lost myself. “Okay. I’m done having to deal with your nonsense. Get out of bed.” Logan charged towards me, pulling me aggressively out of bed by the arm. He had me on my feet but I collapsed to the floor as soon as he let go. “What the hell is wrong with you?” He kicked me hard in the stomach. Even with the extreme use of force, I did not respond. The pain was nothing compared to the emotional torture I had been facin
DRAVEN’S POV “I’m not comfortable with this, Ragner. I never was and I’m not sure how much longer I can hold on.” Ragner and I walked through the pack while he listened quietly as I ranted. “It’s been days, weeks even. What if there is no safe way out of all of this? Maybe we should just let Logan raid on us, whoever survives will.” “Why are you not saying anything? You supported her when she wanted to go. You said it was the only way. Now you have nothing to say?” “At this point, there really is nothing left to be said.” Ragner responded. “Our hands are…” “Arghh!!!” I felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. It was like someone snapped my intestine with a giant scissors. “What is it? Are you okay?” Ragner rushed to help me. He supported my weight from under my arms and did not let me get to the ground, but it did not help the pain in any way. I could not stop myself from yelling. I had experienced excruciating pain from becoming a monster, but this was nothing like it. This w
ARIA'S POV:“Ahhhhh!” I yelled at the top of my voice. The only thing preventing me from jumping out of my skin was his arms firmly wrapped around me.He jumped up, startled, then freed his arms. I watched him act very nonchalant, stretching out. “It's too early for tantrums,” he said, dropping fro
Draven's POV:“Would you look at that? A gift from the moon goddess herself,” Ragner teased as he followed behind me into my room.“Quit it!” I immediately hushed him, trying so hard to hide the smile on my face. Ragner and I would occasionally cross the lines of friendship. He had been with me for

ARIA’S POVHe kicked the door open and his presence came with literal light. “Hmmm!” I struggled since my mouth was wrapped with a piece of cloth.“What the hell!” Draven rushed to me. He untied my mouth first, before going behind the chair to undo the knots that held my hand behind the chair. “Wh
