Ava's POV

"That's too late, you've already earned yourself a punishment," he rasped as his hand on my hip went down, tracing my curves before he skilfully unbuttoned my trousers and unzipped them.

My lips parted again to speak but only a gasp broke free when he palmed me between my legs.

"Lorenzo, don't!" My voice was inaudible due to his hold around my neck. At this point, I couldn't care anymore about being strangled to death by him, not when his large hand traced my folds through my panties.

I grabbed his hand around my neck, wanting to pry myself free but it was useless again. My body tensed the moment his thumb pressed against my nub. No! I didn't want this.... Or so I hoped, but my body said otherwise.

I should repulse at the feel of his warm and rough palm between my legs, touching me without permission. I should try to scream, fight and throw insults at him. Anything to make him stop.

There were many things that I should do yet I did the opposite. I chose weakness instead of strength, I chose to surrender instead of putting up a fight. My body burned under his touch, arching under his mercy and it took everything in me not to close my eyes. I dare not defile him again.

When did I become this compliant? Probably after being maltreated by my brother and his wife for so long that I can remember.

His knuckles brushed against me again but he didn't touch me directly. His fingers traced my fold, rubbed against my clit until my breath became ragged but even at that, I didn't make a sound. My eyes met his head-on.

Slowly, I started to feel something wet pooling between my legs. No! This shouldn't be happening. This was fucked up in several ways.

My heart tightened when a small, almost imperceptible smile stretched the corner of his lips. He didn't say anything but pinched my folds through the flimsy fabric and my eyes threatened to close. My teeth bit even harder into my lower lip until I could taste iron.

Just when I thought I'd lose it, he pulled his hand away but the warmth still lingered, reminding me of the disgusting act which happened without much resistance on my path.

He lifted his hand, his fingers covered in my release. "I guess blood comes in different colours..." He drawled, observing my release in fascination. I caught the amusement in his voice and shame washed over me.

Oh God. He had caught me red-handed. My breath hitched when he leaned forward to whisper in my ear. "You're soaking wet—not with blood obviously, but with arousal. My fingers are fucking slick with it."

He slowly stepped back, and something inside me snapped. I raised my hand to slap him across his face but he caught it midair, his grip felt like a vice and his face cold but amusement warmed his eyes.

I didn't know why I tried to hit him, probably to save face but what was the point if he could easily defend himself. What was I even thinking?

He stared at me for a while, watching as my chest heave and my eyes watered with tears yet he didn't seem the least concerned. Instead, he shamelessly lifted his fingers which were still covered in my release and put it into his mouth, his eyes never leaving mine as he sucked on his fingers before releasing them. They were clean yet the act was dirtier than anything I could imagine.

"Mine," he almost growled out the words, a sick feeling twisted my stomach as I saw the possessive look in his eyes.

Breaking eye contact, I looked down from the balcony, watching as his men stood at the entrance of the building, unaware of what was happening above them.

"I'm not yours," I whispered, my voice raspy from the impact of the strangling.

I felt warm fingers pinching my chin and turning my face to stare at pairs of cold silver eyes. "You're whatever I want you to be. My slave, my prisoner and even my wife. Because you're mine." He said calmly, that infuriating calm and cold expression made me want to step closer and rip the mask apart, wanting to see the beast behind them.

He moved away, dropping my hand but his touch lingered. Tucking his hands into his pockets, he sized me up. "Stay here, and don't go out without permission. If I find out that you left the mansion again, things wouldn't go down well for you." He turned to leave but stopped.

"There's lingerie on the bed, put it on and wait for me tonight," with that last order, he walked out of the balcony, leaving me reeling with confusion, fear, anger, frustration and overwhelming hatred directed towards my brother for putting me into this mystery.

My life didn't feel like mine anymore. My choices were snatched out of my hands and I was forced to suffer for it. I didn't know my fate with Lorenzo but if any of what Mario said was true, then my fate was no different from that of my parents.

I wanted to confront Lorenzo, to confirm Mario's words but fear gripped me. What if Mario was telling the truth? How could I possibly confirm Mario's words when speaking to Lorenzo alone terrified me? Would he admit it or lie? Would he even bother saying anything when he looked at me like I was an inconvenience, a hassle and something so insignificant.

Then my mind replayed conservation with my grandfather. Mario was my betrothed. Mario Bennett. I closed my eyes, fighting back tears while my stomach churned in fear and panic. I felt exhausted, drained. I just wanted to sleep this day away, and probably never wake up. That would be the best thing to ever happen to me.

I walked back into the room and indeed a beautiful set of red lingerie was on the bed. The red lacy lingerie felt like a mockery, anger burned deep within me. I approached it, slowly tracing my fingers over it before I grabbed it, walked to the bathroom and searched for a lighter before setting it on fire.

I watched as the lingerie burned, turning from red to black just like my life. Smoke permeated the air and I inhaled, leaning back on the wall, feeling like I was finally reaching for the reins in my life.

However, the relief was short-lived as Lorenzo's hard, cold face popped up in my mind and my shoulders tensed. Fuck! What have I done? The red lace was totally black and burnt at this point, reminding me of my fucked situation. I wasn't taking the reins in my life. No! I had just made it worse than before.

  • Sold To The Wrong Mr. Right.    Submission And Dominance

Ava's POV The leather seat of the sedan felt cold beneath me as I slid into the back, the door clicking shut with a heavy, pressurized thud that sealed out the rest of the world. Niko didn’t get in with me; he simply nodded to the driver and vanished back into the Roman night. The car melted into the traffic, moving with a terrifying, smooth speed toward the outskirts of the city. I pressed my forehead against the tinted glass, watching the ancient stone walls of Rome blur into streaks of shadow. My mind was a chaotic wreck. The ghost of the dead guard, the memory of Raquel’s screams, and the weight of Detective Valerio’s card in my pocket all swirled together, but they were rapidly being overshadowed by the sheer, paralyzing dread of what was waiting for me at the end of this drive. When the car finally slowed, turning past the heavy iron gates of the estate, my stomach violently dropped. The gardens that had seemed so empty and unguarded hours ago were now crawling with men in da

  • Sold To The Wrong Mr. Right.    False Confession

Ava's POV The metallic click of the handcuffs unlocking from the hospital bed had offered no relief, only a transition from one cage to another. I had been marched through the corridors of the medical facility, flanked by armed guards, and shoved into the back of a police cruiser. Now, I sat inside the suffocating perimeter of a police interrogation room. The space was tiny, the air smelling of stale coffee and damp concrete. A single metal table separated me from the chair opposite, and the two-way mirror on the wall seemed to track my every shuddering breath. The heavy iron door creaked open, and Detective Valerio stepped inside, carrying a thick manila folder. He didn't sit down immediately; instead, he hovered over the table, letting his shadow fall over my trembling hands. "Let's start with the basics," he said, his Italian accent sharp in the quiet room. "What is your name?" "Ava," I whispered, my voice cracking. I cleared my dry throat. "My name is Ava." Valerio flipp

  • Sold To The Wrong Mr. Right.    Handcuffed

Ava's POV The blinding scent of bleach and rubbing alcohol was the first thing that bled through the heavy, suffocating darkness. My eyelids felt like lead, scratching against my eyeballs as I forced them open, a sharp throb detonating behind my temples the moment the harsh fluorescent light hit my face. For a fractured second, the world was just a blur of white ceiling tiles. Then, the dam broke. The memory of the surveillance room, the deafening roar of the gunshot, the wet thud of the guard's body hitting the floor, and the sight of the steel door splintering open under the weight of the men in black crashed into my mind.I gasped, my chest heaving as a violent wave of panic seized my lungs. I tried to bolt upright, my heart hammering against my ribs as my eyes darted around the space in absolute terror. I braced myself to see the cold, dead eyes of the interstate outfit, or worse, the chilling, triumphant smirk of the men who had hunted me down like an animal. But the dark,

  • Sold To The Wrong Mr. Right.    A Monster To Kill Monsters

Ava's POV The fiberglass insulation bit into the raw skin of my palms as I dragged my body forward, inch by agonizing inch, through the claustrophobic darkness of the crawlspace. The air up there was thick with decades of stagnant dust and the chemical tang of wiring, making my lungs burn with every shallow, panicked breath I drew. Below me, the muffled sounds of the club’s music vibrated through the drywall, a sickening reminder of how close the wolves still were. I didn't know where I was going; I only knew I had to keep moving, driven by the echoes of Raquel’s screams still ringing in my ears. Then, without warning, the world gave way beneath me.A sharp, terrifying crack split the air as the fragile grid and drywall ceiling structurally failed under my weight. I didn't even have time to gasp before I was falling through the dark, plummeting straight down through a cloud of white plaster dust and debris. My back collided violently with the edge of a heavy metal console before

  • Sold To The Wrong Mr. Right.    Outfit

Ava's POVMy heart was hammering against my ribs, a frantic, trapped thing after Raquel’s revelation. The label ‘Capo di capi’ echoed in the chambers of my mind, heavy and suffocating. If Lorenzo was the apex predator of this entire underworld, then the hatred he harbored for my family wasn't just a personal grudge, it was a death sentence. What could my family have possibly done to entangle themselves with a man of that magnitude? Did my stepbrother know? Was he a piece on this chessboard, or just another casualty waiting to happen? The questions spiraled, but the sudden, chilling shift in the club's atmosphere cut them short. The thumping bass paused for a fractured second, a glitch in the sound system that allowed an unnatural quiet to sweep through the VIP lounge. Following the sudden drop in volume, my gaze drifted toward the entrance.A group of men stepped into the dim, neon-lit space. They were tall, imposing, and dressed in sharp, midnight-black suits that seemed to absorb

  • Sold To The Wrong Mr. Right.    The Hierarchy

Ava's POV The neon lights of Rome blurred into a colour of gold and violet as Raquel led me through the city. She didn't take me to the tourist traps I had seen in postcards. Instead, we wound through the narrow, hidden corridors of the Trastevere district, past ivy-covered clock towers and underground galleries where the air smelled of ancient stone and expensive oil paint. We stood on a bridge overlooking the Tiber, watching the water churn like liquid obsidian, and for the first time, I felt the vastness of the world outside Lorenzo’s shadow. Eventually, we arrived at a club in the heart of the city. It was discreet, marked only by a heavy iron door and a single dim red light. My chest tightened as we stepped inside. I looked for the familiar suits, the cold stares of the Blackwood security, or the glint of a hidden weapon. "Lorenzo," I whispered, pulling Raquel back. "Does he own this?" Raquel shook her head, her expression calm. "No. This is neutral ground, Ava. He

Ava's POV I dressed Anna in the messiest clothes I could find, though even her "old" things looked pristine and expensive.
