OPRAH’S POV

"What are you doing here?" I blurted out. I lunged toward the wardrobe, but Lilith already stood there, her bare body pressed against the wood.

"I love the way you moan."

My throat tightened.

"Get out of my room, Lilith." My eyes widened at the sight. She was completely naked, uninvited in my space.

She did not flinch. A slow smile curved her lips, heavy with desire. She raised one hand, slipped a finger into her mouth, and licked it with deliberate strokes. Then she stepped forward

  • THE ALPHA'S GREATEST MISTAKE    RESTROOM

DERRICK’S POV"I really do not want to know." Oprah said. Her emotionless mask stayed firmly in place, but her face looked paler than before.Something was wrong. I could feel it in my bones. It was as if she had seen a ghost. Her fists balled tightly at her sides."Now if you will excuse me, I need to use the restrooms." She continued. Before I could react, she walked past me and headed in the other direction.I swallowed hard. I did not know what to say or how to react.I knew I should not be here. I knew I should not be this close to her. But I could not stay away. When I saw her rushing toward the entrance earlier, I knew something was wrong. My wolf had confirmed it. I had seen the man from earlier. She had been staring at him, and he at her. When she bolted out, I knew she was going after him. That was why I left the ballroom immediately after Lilith stepped down from the stage. She had welcomed the master of ceremonies to continue with the fundraising. She then told me she need

  • THE ALPHA'S GREATEST MISTAKE    GONE

OPRAH’S POV"Looking for someone?"The voice came from directly behind me. Low. Calm. Too calm.Every muscle in my body locked. My heart slammed against my ribs like it wanted to escape. Cold sweat prickled along my spine. I knew that voice. I did not know how, but something deep inside me recognized it. It was as if I had met the owner beforw. My instincts screamed at me not to turn around. But I did. Slowly.A man stood a few feet away. Tall. Broad-shouldered. His face was partially shadowed by the dim lighting, but I could see enough. Sharp jawline. Dark eyes that seemed to pierce straight through me. He was not smiling. He did not need to. His presence alone commanded the space around him. And...there was something dangerous about this man. I didn’t know what, but I just felt out of place being in front of him. My body screamedfor me to run. But not anymore. "Indeed it has been years, and you've changed to a confident amd bold woman," he said quietly. His voice carried no threat,

  • THE ALPHA'S GREATEST MISTAKE    MYSTERIOUS MAN

OPRAH’S POVThe chants grew louder with every step I took."Miss Voss.""Miss Voss.""Miss Voss."I kept my head high and my shoulders straight as I walked toward the podium. The emerald gown swayed with each movement. My red hair caught the light from the chandeliers, drawing even more eyes. I could feel the weight of every gaze in the room. Cameras flashed relentlessly. Whispers rippled through the crowd like waves.Lilith stood frozen at the podium. Her smile remained fixed, but I saw the way her fingers dug into the wood. Her knuckles had turned white. Her chest rose and fell too quickly. She was losing control, and she knew it.Derrick stood slightly behind her. His hazel eyes followed me the entire way. His expression stayed carefully neutral, but I caught the tension in his jaw. His wolf was close to the surface. I could almost feel it.Alexander walked beside me. His hand brushed mine for a brief second. Steady. Reassuring. His quiet confidence gave me strength.I reached the

  • THE ALPHA'S GREATEST MISTAKE    STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT

OPRAH’S POVI saw him across the crowded ballroom. His suit fit him perfectly. His hair was combed neatly back. That small smile played on his lips, revealing the single dimple on his left cheek. His eyes. Goddess. He looked exactly like my son. It was as if Zarek had chosen to take every feature from this man.I would be lying if I said the sight of him did not affect me. He was breathtakingly handsome. The way he raised his brows sent heat rushing through my body. I tightened my grip around the stem of my champagne glass. My thighs pressed together instinctively. My heart throbbed heavily in my chest. What was happening to me? I should not be feeling this way. Not for him. I pushed the thoughts down and tried to focus on why I had come. I needed to stay sharp."What do you mean?" Lilith lashed out, pulling me back to the present.I pushed aside my wandering thoughts. I made sure my expression remained calm and composed. I smiled, my head held high and my shoulders straight."Let us

  • THE ALPHA'S GREATEST MISTAKE    LEGAL

DERRICK’S POVI could feel it in my gut that something was wrong. I did not like the idea that Lilith had invited Oprah to her charity gala. That woman was planning something. Even though I hated the thought of attending, I knew I had to go.I finished the last of the documents and paperwork on my desk. There was always so much work that demanded my attention. That was the price of leading both a pack and a company.I sighed and pressed a hand to my forehead. The headache from earlier had returned with full force. What had Lilith been doing during those sixteen years that my men could not uncover? Where had she been? Could it be true that she was Elizabeth Hunter? Then what Dominic had said hit me like a blow. She was his foster sister.I swallowed hard. The air in my lungs suddenly vanished. I felt like choking. My eyes widened."She is Dominic's foster sister." I murmured to myself."That only means Dominic knows something about her past." I stood abruptly, twirling the pen in my ha

  • THE ALPHA'S GREATEST MISTAKE    THE GALA

LILITH’S POVEverything was in place. The preparations had gone flawlessly. So many volunteers had stepped forward that I barely spent a cent. Waiters in crisp uniforms moved gracefully among the guests, carrying trays of champagne and hors d'oeuvres. The men wore tailored tuxedos, the women exquisite gowns and jewels that sparkled under the grand chandeliers. They all claimed to be here for the greater good, but I knew better. They came to be seen.My speech had worked perfectly. The crowd had swallowed every word. They believed the narrative I fed them — that whoever tried to tarnish my name was the real villain. Comments flooded my social media. Some insulted the liars. Others pitied me. Many sent donations to support my charities.I smiled as I glided through the elegant ballroom. The expensive chandeliers cast golden light across the room, creating soft shadows on the faces of the wealthy elite. I could not have asked for more.I passed groups of guests, keeping my gentle and inn

His jaw was locked, his expr

    DERRICK’S POV“No! No! It’s not her.
