LOGINDaily life of a boring human named Leah Smith. In this life there are no vampires, no werewolves, no witches, no trolls.
Well except my chemistry teacher Albert tried to bore me to death with his antics, I was not looking forward to that this year.
I was finally eighteen now, I guess it was time to stop indulging myself in those fantasy novels so I won't end up old with fifteen cats.
I have never had a boyfriend, well mostly cause I was always busy indulging myself in the latest werewolf novel, I've read everything from teen wolf, to W*****d, to w******l, you name it.
By everything, I mean everything and yesterday was the height of it.
Getting banged by an alpha in my dream was just unreal. I sighed then suddenly stepped on the brakes of my truck. I looked up to see a sleek sports car and a very, very ethereal looking owner that did not seem happy with me.
"Sorry, my bad." I apologized whining down the glass of my truck.
"Oh you will be very sorry." His deep voice caused my stomach to flip as he stepped out of the car and walked to my window, I shrunk under his hot blazing gaze.
"Give me your number." he said without an amused look in his grey blue eyes, so clear it looked like winter, his black hair so inky his eyes blended like stars against midnight.
An embarrassing stutter came out of my lips "What for?"
His frown deepened "You scratched my car." He said it so slowly like I was too dumb to catch.
"Excuse me." I muttered politely so he gave me space to open my truck door, stepping out I saw the bright glaring scratch and my breath hitched, that was definitely going to cost a fortune and my dad would kill me.
I gaped at it thinking of an excuse "I'm so sorry." I was so distracted with that werewolf stuff that I just scratched a car that would cost half my life to pay back, I wanted to cry.
His breath trickled into my neck and it felt awfully familiar. He had a very strong scent that shook my senses and rooted me to the spot. I was paralyzed thinking of what to say, what to do.
"You know you're gonna have to pay me back right?" The words were so deep it felt like a growl and his presence engulfed me making me feel weak as he shoved his phone in front of me and said firmly "Type."
Hesitantly, I typed my number on his phone. He stared at me and my insides did flipflops "Like I said I'm so sorry." I repeated before running into my truck and driving away as though I was being chased by an entity I couldn't explain.
There was something terrifying about that guy's aura, like he wasn't like me.
His words, the way he spoke although pure English had an accent unlike any I had ever heard before.
His skin was pale, very pale, yet it had a very surreal shade of bronze. As if he glowed, I shivered as I drove into the school's parking lot. "He was really hot."
A small voice startled me and I nearly jumped out of my seat "Stephanie! what are you doing here?" I said, trying to calm myself down.
She was lodged in the backseat of my car, one of my novels in her hand "You are so absent minded, it's like you dissociate from your body sometimes. I picked this up from the trash.”
"No kidding, you haven't answered my question." I snapped at her in annoyance.
"Relax." she said blowing bubble gum, her red curls gleamed in the morning sun "We go to the same school remember?"
I rolled my eyes "You are not allowed in my truck remember?"
Stephanie pouted then sat up "But the bus absolutely sucked."
"No kidding.” I said through clenched teeth.
“That guy is super hot, are you gonna see him again?" She asked with curiosity in her green eyes.
A frown etched itself on my face "Hopefully not, I don't have the money to pay for the damage I did to that car, heck the damage repair cost more than my truck was bought."
She laughed like I cracked a funny joke, her short shirt raising up a bit to show a belly ring "Is that a piercing?" I nearly screamed as I saw it.
"Is that a piercing? Does mom know?" I freaked out.
She stuck out her tongue revealing another "No and she doesn't ever need to know, so don't be a snitch sis." she drawled getting out of the car.
"If you don't want Mr Hottie Pants be sure to give him my number." she said and my blood pressure nearly flew off the roof.
"Um how about never!" I barked at her as she laughed walking away to the opposite building.
I bit back a snappy statement about never having kids, looked at myself in the rare mirror and got out of the car.
Almost immediately a ball collided with my head, and I wanted to swear at the top of my vocal cords.
A tall tanned blonde appeared before me with the likeness of the guy from earlier, only he had softer amber eyes as he asked "Sorry, are you okay?"
I blinked a couple times to believe he was real, "Yeah I'm fine." I said breathlessly, before his eyes widened in shock.
"You are bleeding," he said, panicking.
"I am fine." I said but he suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him.
He grinned then sniffed my scalp and I flinched "What a pleasant smell, you are bleeding Leah." He repeated like I was deaf.
I touched my scalp and held my breath, it stung. I turned and walked away. "I should get to the nurses office."
He held onto my arm with a chilling grin he leaned in close looking over my shoulder "Is that dog yours?" I was confused by his words until he turned me around and I met winter eyes staring into my soul like they would freeze me alive.
"Dog?" Was he referring to the guy I crashed cars with earlier as a dog? I frowned, "That's rude."
His chuckle rumbled against my back. "You are cute, if he wants you he'll have to fight for it."
I was so confused I would have walked away if his very alarming strength didn't hold me in place "Leah don't resist, I don't want to be rough. You little humans are going to make this century very interesting." he laughed, pulling me away like I was nothing but a mere rag doll.
This was not good, I was already late to my first class at the beginning of the year.
We stood in the nurses office but she wasn't in so he went about gathering stuff as I sat down on a chair. "What are you doing?"
He smirked "I know a little first aid, you pick up stuff when you've lived for quite awhile."
I frowned trying to ease the uneasy feeling in my stomach. He was dangerous. "Why do you keep talking like you're ancient, you look at least 19."
I don't know what it was, it was his gait, the way he walked, how his body moved with ease for someone with such a massive muscular body.
My eyes couldn't help but drink in the perfection of his body, it was like I had no choice but to acknowledge how perfect he was. "I'll take that as a compliment." He stood in front of me using a wet swab to clean my wound. I hissed.
"Luckily it's just a scratch, sorry my strength can be a bit too much sometimes. Athlete you know." he said with a confidence that made me doubt he was just an athlete.
"Are you always this cocky?" I suddenly blurted out and my eyes widened in shock.
His laugh shook the walls visibly or did I imagine it as well? "Well not really you are far too blunt Leah, you'll probably die in a week, if you keep playing with dangerous things...like me."
It was a strict warning, there was no joke or humor in his eyes. “I should go.” I whispered breathlessly.
The hairs on my skin stood on alert, every chemical in my brain screamed for me to run.
A knock made me gasp in fear as the nurse walked in "Am I interrupting something, in my office?"
He leaned back "Not at all." He took my fingers and kissed it. "The name is Cain, tell Reuben his little mate will soon be mine to feast."
A shiver ran down my spine as I felt like a hypnotic spell was cast over me. He walked out of the office and I let out a breath I didn't know was stuck in my throat.
My body sagged letting the tension release from my shoulders.
The nurse stood there eerily, even her presence didn't let me breathe. There was an unmistakable vibe from her, it scared me.
"Thank you." I mumbled, as I headed out of the office.
"War is coming." the nurse said and my body froze. "War of the alpha's, and a sacrifice will be made...blood will be spilled."
The nurse who had been dressed in white was now a shadow dark creature, her body twisted, her neck bent as she spoke. "Your blood!" she laughed like a mad woman and I ran out of the office shutting the door behind me.
I ran all the way to class pushing the door open, all the students looked at me. Mr Krab, didn't look pleased. "Well the world should stop for you now, Miss Smith, sit down."
Finally feeling normal again I walked to the very back seat and took my seat.
The sick feeling passed and my vision stopped spinning, my body felt cooler and the fear passed.
Like I was safe now...what the hell was that?
I thought to myself, but quickly brought out my notebook to focus on biology class.
A little tap on my table caught my gaze, very familiar warm brown eyes, Tucker. "Hey, happy Halloween in advance." he said.
I smirked. Tucker loved Halloween. "You must be thirsty." He dropped a pop soda on my desk.
A soft warm smile touched my lips. It was the nicest thing that happened to me all day. As I reached for the can an intense gaze drew me and our eyes met.
Ice and Fire, his winter eyes and my hazel eyes were not to mix or be part of this world but in that moment I felt it.
Like I belonged to him, only those winter eyes threatened to freeze my very being.
Leah's pov: "Goodness, I was scared you were dead." a beautiful woman exclaimed. Her wings shimmering at her back. The more my vision adjusted the more I was confused and convinced I was either in a fever dream or I was definitely dead.I pinched myself and I felt the sting. I was alive, just in some type of highness, perhaps I was on anesthesia and it was messing with my head.I held my belly on impulse "My babies.""They are fine, it wasn't easy but I healed you." The fairy said with a soft smile."It's not safe for me to be here." I managed to say.The fairy beamed her eyes the shade of the rainbow. "I know what you are, I know your fate but I still want to help you. I found you almost dead in the stream." she said applying herbs on my injuries, her fairy braids moved with grace around her hips. The herbs smelled an awful lot like weed, that was probably one of the things causing me to see things like the rainbow."It's no wonder the alpha's are obsessed with you, even an angel w
Leah's Pov: I didn't know how long we had been running, but my heart was beating fast and my stomach was contracting rapidly. I felt something trickle down my leg just as figures in dark cloaks appeared out of thin air "Mum something is wrong." The stress of the past journey had caught up with me and a hooking pain gripped my waist and limbs Pain paralyzed me to the spot, my mother turned to look at me. "What's wrong?" "B-blood..." I stuttered as I slipped my hand between my legs. Her eyes widened. "We need to rest." I felt strong contractions and began to pace around like a restless caged beast. I couldn't go further and I couldn't go back. The pain was maddening "Breathe." she encouraged rubbing my lower back and I shook my head. "I can't because it hurts." I held my lower belly feeling the weight of my baby there. The spasm made me crouch, I wanted to rip the foetus out of my womb. "Surrender Riley, or die with your family." The cloak figure was Alice and s
Tucker's pov: "You killed my mate!" I growled in fury jumping towards her.She struck me with her fist on the jaw and it threw me back on my feet, my face ached from the impact and I felt my teeth crack. She was strong. Her knuckles made a cracking sound too and she fixed her broken wrist back in place. "Tougher than I thought.""Why did you kill her!" I snarled as we paced around each other."No reason, actually just that she was a werewolf who looked like Leah and it was a distraction plus I hate your kind. I felt no resentment towards her though she wasn't important enough to care about." she laughed and I felt a vein pop on my forehead.I could not even describe the speed in which I grabbed her and bit her on the arm.She screamed as I ripped her arm off, she cried out in pain as she bled. Two vampires came to her aid and attacked me. I caught their legs mid air as they tried to kick me and I broke their ankles by twisting their feet. They screamed too, then I tossed them in separ
Reuben's Pov:"You are such a hypocrite." Cain sneered. "How far are you going to use her for your own benefit?”"You used your mate until she died." Cain said his voice was thick with rage."You abandoned Abigail and she chased you until she died." His eyes glowed red in anger."Now you want Leah to die to birth your heir, you really are the downfall of all the alpha's, Alpha Reuben." Cain walked in circles around him and he followed "You use everyone around you to your own benefit." "You pretend to love Leah, when you know Werewolves are incapable of love." Cain laughed "You know what I take it back, you may be weak...but you are bloody brilliant, a manipulative bastard genius." I smirked, stretching my limbs. "Thanks, I try."He launched at me, and struck my jaw with his fist. I felt my neck twist to the side."Oh fuck that hurt." I twisted my neck back in place. He cracked his knuckles and swung his fist at my jaw again. The impact sent me flying, I landed on the ground but was
Leah's pov:"Mom you can't be standing right now, you've literally been unconscious for days." I panicked, grabbing her by the arm.She staggered leaning on me for support then spat blood on the ground and the witches clacked."Riley you have exhausted yourself, you are no longer young and your power belongs to another. You should retire." Alice's voice was thick with mockery. "Even my weakest state is more powerful than you will ever be Alice. Your jealousy is repulsive." she hissed at her."Mom, you shouldn't be making them angrier." I whispered in her ear."Witches, no one asked for your boring input to ruin the party." Emma scorned them."Don't worry, we will send your kind crawling back from the underworld where you came from." Alice retorted at Emma. "Okay I've had enough, get her Rachel." Emma ordered and Rachel lurched for me, as a thunderous rain fell."You see her existence and that pregnancy is already ruining the climate in Banewood. It's making the weather harsh and unpr
Leah's Pov"Finally." Emma said with Rachel who looked at me with an envious vicious gaze."Are you serious?" I asked her, not really surprised but still shocked nonetheless. "Well I had no choice, what's the use of a no good failure alpha against an all powerful vampire, should I have died for him?" Rachel scoffed at me.I shook my head with disappointment. "Don't blame her Leah, I threatened her. She had no choice.""You betrayed the pack." Reuben said in a tight voice as he gained consciousness."Sorry, are you okay?" I asked before realizing just how dumb that sounded."I'm not." he laughed then groaned in pain as he stood up. "Oh wow he's not dead." Emma smirked as if she just discovered something fascinating and it gave me the chills. He glared at her, "Alpha's are not so easy to kill, you know." "Oh that's right, Mark did mention that." she clicked her tongue.Reuben frowned, glaring at her "Mark?" "Yes, your twin brother, right?" her facial expression was filled with cruelt
