Lucas car parked in front of a building. Him and his demon guards got into the elevator and stopped at the 7th floor, then they walked down the row of corridors till they got to a door. Lucas rang the doorbell and waited.

"Master, we could just let ourselves in. Why are we ringing the doorbell?" Levi asked him, and a wicked smile spread on his face, but he shook his head.

"Today, we'll be gentlemen. I don't have intentions of hurting them yet; I just want to send a message to Aria."

The door opened, and an old woman stood in the frame.

"Who are you, gentlemen?"

"You must be the housekeeper. I am Lucas, a special friend of Aria, and we came to visit our friends inside."

The old lady eyed them suspiciously. She let Lucas in and told the rest to wait outside. As soon as the boys saw him, they began to scream, afraid that he had come to burn them like he promised them.

Lucas was amused by their pleadings, and he laughed out softly.

The old lady turned to face the smiling Lucas. She became scared and suggested that he left the house.

"I'm afraid, I'll have to ask you to leave. The boys are uncomfortable with your presence, and that's not good for their condition."

"Of course, I should be on my way now. I'm just glad that they're save and sound, but I'll need you to pass on a message to my dear Aria." He followed the woman to the door. "Tell her that I visited, and that my offer to relieve her of her stress still stands." With that, he left with his guards.

The old lady shut the door, and dialed for Aria immediately.

"Lucas was there?" Aria screamed out, drawing the attention of the customers. She apologized to them, and dashed out of the shop.

"Are you certain he left the building?" Aria asked the housekeeper.

"Yeah, but he spoke about some kind of offer that he has made you. What is that about?"

"Don't worry about it. I'll fix this." Aria said, and hung up.

She redialed for Lucas, and on the second ring he picked up.

"I see that someone terribly misses this evil guy. To what do I owe this call?"

"I think it's time we had that lunch." Aria said.

"Whoa, lovely. Do I pick you up?"

"No, tell me where you are. I'll come to you."

"It would've been nicer if I came to pick you from work. Don't you think?"

"Lucas, if you don't tell me where you are right now, you'll never hear from me again, and you can forget about regaining my friendship." Aria threatened, and hoped that the threats would get to Lucas, and cause him a change of heart.

Lucas was quiet for a while. He knew what Aria was playing at, but he liked it. He was amazed to see the length she could reach to protect those boys, and he decided to fall for her games.

"I'm at the office, Aria." He said to her finally, and he heard her breathe in and out, probably feeling satisfied that her plans had worked out.

A few minutes later, a cab pulled up in front of the company, and Aria got out. She stared at the huge building, and wondered if she should call Lucas again. She was about to dial his number when she saw Levi walking towards her.

"He does have eyes everywhere." She muttered to herself, and smiled at the demon coming close to her.

"I'm Levi, Lucas personal assistant." He introduced himself to her.

"I remember you. You played a huge role in holding me back while your evil boss mauled those boys. How could I possibly forget that face?" Aria replied, still holding a tight smile.

Levi chuckled, and led the way.

"Well, the evil boss awaits your arrival."

Aria followed him into the company, and she was awed at the beauty of place.

"Whoa, this place is beautiful." She exclaimed, and Levi smiled.

"Wait till you see his office. It's nothing compared to this."

"I doubt that guy has any sense of beauty." Aria said, and followed him into an elevator.

They got to the top floor, and the elevator stopped. The two stepped out, and Aria heaved a sigh of relief. She had been wondering why they hadn't gotten to Lucas office floor yet, but she was soon to figure that his office was at the topmost floor.

Levi led her into Lucas office, and Aria's eyes went wide with surprise. The office was as large as a two bedroom apartment, and it had a wine cellar. The couch was beautiful, and arranged nicely. She looked around her, and saw how sparkling the office was. Levi smiled at her.

"I told you." He said to her, and she nodded, still awed.

"I guess no one has seen that I'm also in here. The invisible man." Lucas said, trying to get Aria's attention, but she rolled her eyes at him and kept staring at the designs of the large office.

Some meters away from the building, a figure stood on the rooftop of a building and watched the two. A smirk appeared on his face as he watched Lucas futile attempt to get the lady's attention.

"A hundred years later, my evil son finally falls in love with a human. What an adorable sight."

The descent into Hell was not marked by fire.It was marked by silence.Lucas did not step through a gate, nor did he summon a portal. Hell recognized him—felt him—and parted. The air shifted first. What little movement existed in that cursed realm stilled, as though the world itself had drawn in a breath it dared not release. Then the ground beneath his feet darkened further, veins of molten crimson receding like blood retreating from a wound. He had not been here in a long time. Not because he feared it.Fear was a language Hell understood—but never dared speak to him.No… he had stayed away because this place remembered.Every scream. Every fall. Every moment of weakness. And worst of all… it remembered his father's humiliation of him.Lucas walked forward, his steps measured, unhurried, yet carrying a weight that pressed against the very bones of Hell. The corridor stretched before him—endless, suffocating, lined with walls that pulsed faintly, as though alive. Shadows clung to th

Aria stepped out of the school gates beside Mark, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows across the pavement. Their conversation had been light, easy—Mark always had a way of making things feel uncomplicated—but her mind wasn’t entirely in it. It hadn’t been for weeks.Ever since Lucas had started keeping his distance. She had told herself it didn’t matter. That she didn’t care. That whatever they had—whatever he had made it—was better left alone. And yet…Her steps slowed. There, parked just across the road, was a sleek black sedan. Polished. Imposing. Familiar. Her breath caught. No… it couldn’t—But it was.Lucas leaned casually against the car, his posture relaxed in a way that didn’t fool her for a second. Even from a distance, there was something sharp about him today. Something controlled. Dangerous. Her heart betrayed her with a sudden, violent thud. Why is he here? After weeks of silence… weeks of distance… now this?ā€œAria?ā€ Mark’s voice pulled her slightly back, but s

Lucas’s mansion did not feel like a home. Not today. The structure stood tall, elegant as always, its towering windows catching what little daylight filtered through the overcast sky. But inside— Inside, the air felt wrong. Heavy. Charged. Like something unseen had settled into the walls, pressing in, waiting. Lucas stood near one of the large windows, his back partially turned to the room. His gaze was fixed outside, though it was clear he wasn’t really seeing anything. His thoughts were elsewhere. On her. Always on her. The image refused to leave his mind—Aria, smiling softly, standing too close to someone else. Letting someone else lead her. Trusting someone else. His jaw tightened. ā€œYou’re going to wear a hole into the glass at this rate.ā€ Her voice came like silk over steel. Lucas didn’t turn immediately. He didn’t need to. ā€œSelene,ā€ he said flatly. She stood near the entrance of the room, leaning slightly against the doorway as though she owned the place. Her

Morning came, but it didn’t feel like morning. There was no softness to it. No gentle easing into the day. Just a dull, dragging awareness that time had moved forward whether Aria was ready or not. Rain tapped lightly against her window—not the violent storm from the day before, but something quieter. Lingering. Like the world hadn’t quite shaken off whatever weight it had carried overnight. Aria lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. She’d been awake for a while. Long enough to notice the way the light shifted behind the curtains. Long enough to realize she had no intention of getting up anytime soon. Her body felt heavy. Not tired—just… unwilling. Her mind, however, refused to be still. Selene. That image wouldn’t leave her. The way she had stood in the apartment like she belonged there. The calm confidence. The unsettling ease with which she had spoken about things Aria barely understood. And then there was what she had said. About a coming war... and the decisio

Hell did not burn the way mortals imagined it. There were no endless lakes of fire, no screaming pits lined with writhing bodies begging for mercy. That was a child’s understanding of punishment. A crude interpretation of something far more intricate. Hell was… deliberate. Alive. Breathing in ways that did not require air. The sky—if it could be called that—was not a sky at all, but a fractured expanse of shifting darkness, like glass that had been shattered and rearranged by something with no concept of symmetry. Between those fractures, something glowed faintly, pulsing like veins beneath skin—deep reds, bruised purples, flickers of gold that felt less like light and more like something watching. The ground was worse. It was not solid in the way earth should be. It looked like polished obsidian at first glance, smooth and reflective, but beneath its surface, shadows moved. Not reflections—no. Movements. Shapes that twisted and recoiled as though something had been trapped ben

The rain had started sometime before dawn.At first, it was gentle—soft taps against the window, like someone asking politely to be let in. But as the hours passed, it grew heavier, louder, until it consumed everything. It drowned out the city noise, swallowed the world whole, and wrapped Aria’s apartment in a cocoon of gray. She hadn’t gotten out of bed.Not because she couldn’t—but because she didn’t have the strength to.The blanket was pulled up to her chin, her body curled inward as though trying to protect something fragile inside her. Her phone lay beside her, screen dark now, but not long ago it had lit up with Mark’s name.ā€œHey. It’s pouring. I can pick you up if you want.ā€His voice had been warm. Easy. Safe. She had hesitated. For a second too long. Then she remembered. The demon guards.Across the street. Always watching. Always reporting. And more than that—Lucas. The thought of accepting a ride from Mark felt… wrong. Not because she owed Lucas anything. Not after the way
