LOGINNatalie’s POV
There was no way I could duck and hide because he was already close enough, he could hear my breathing get heavy, my heart drummed in my chest as I stood still thinking of what excuse to tell him. “Natalie why are you going through my stuff?” “I’m sorry I didn’t see anything I’ll be coming out now” I finally blared out before running out of the room “Why did you go in there Natty?” he asked staring at me angrily, I didn’t know what to respond because I was just caught red handed and I don’t think he would believe anything I said. “My earring fell and rolled back there so I went to get” I prayed to whatever gods were listening that he would believe that… He stared at me for a very long moment before finally responding back to me. “Ok” thank goodness he didn’t suspect me or anything, He walked slowly behind me, then shut the door of the hidden room slowly “Your room has been cleaned, I’ll call someone later today to fix your window, you can go back to your room” “Are you sure it’s safe now for me to stay there alone?” “It is, I’ll keep an eye on your room to make sure this doesn’t happen again” “How will you watch my room, when yours is down here?” “I will, through my…” He paused like he was thinking of a response “My men will watch over you, it is 100% safe, I promise” He sounded assertive, so I nodded and went back to my room, I looked around for anything suspicious but there was nothing, so I just laid on my bed and fell asleep, I’ve had enough stress for the morning anyway. ------------------------------------------------------ Lucien’s POV Peaceful and yet so troublesome… I installed a camera in her room a year ago to watch her and always make sure she’s safe, that’s how I was able to save her on time before the bullet hit her, it’s never safe around here and she’s my biggest priority, but not as a younger sister but as something more extreme, she meant the world to me but I couldn’t be part of hers so all I can do is be her protector and it’s driving me insane… I watched her sleep every night, watch her get angry over my little jokes on her, both serious and unserious ones. I know dad had something to do with her mother’s death, but I don’t want to be too sure about it, still doing some digging. “Lucien?” “Yes father?” “What’s keeping you awake?” “Nothing” I shrugged before shutting the systems down, so he doesn’t see I was watching my supposed stepsister through a camera lens. “Are you busy?” “No… any problem?” “No, it’s nothing just checking on you” The way his reply sounded so controlled made me wonder, my dad has always been one to have whatever he wants, what’s he cooking up now, he’s been so nervous since the day Natalie’s mother died and I don’t know why. “O…K I’m good, need anything?” “No, I’ll be taking my leave” “Alright then” I watched him leave slowly and shut the door behind him, I opened the camera one more time to see if Natalie was still in bed. She was seated up, looking uneasy as the morning sun hit her skin through the curtains. I just stared harder into the camera feed. She finally pushed the covers aside and stood up, she walked over to her wardrobe and fumbled through her things, when she turns back, she was holding onto something in her hand firmly… I looked closely… she stepped back to her bed, my breath hitching in my throat as I watched her. I could hear the faint, sharp, sound of her breathing over the audio feed but then she threw her head back and let out a broken, needy moan, whispering my name -Lucien- The way she called out my name made it feel like someone had just ripped the air out of my lungs. My hands flew to the edge of my desk, my knuckles turning white as I tried to straighten myself against the sudden, violent surge of urge and desire. The feeling was a physical ache, a heavy, throbbing pressure that felt like it would tear me apart if I didn't get to her right now. I wasn’t just watching her; I was living the moment with her, feeling the echoes of her voice in the very marrow of my bones. I was done waiting. I was done watching from the shadows of my own room. The restraint I’d been holding onto for days just... snapped. I didn't even realize I was moving until I was halfway across the hallway, my footsteps heavy and urgent on the hardwood. I reached her door, and I didn't bother to knock. I didn't bother to wait. I just pushed the door open. “Why would you torture yourself like that natty? when you could just get the real thing” She jumped, her breath catching in her throat, but when she saw it was me, the fear melted into something far more dangerous. I walked across the room in two strides, my presence consuming the small space. I stretched my hand out, my fingers tracing the line of her collarbone, feeling the rapid, erratic beat of her pulse beneath my touch. She let out a soft, involuntary sound, leaning into my hand as if I were the only thing keeping her grounded. Just as I leaned in, prepared to bridge the final gap between us, a sharp rap echoed at the bedroom door. "Natalie? Are you awake?" The voice was muffled, coming from the hallway. It was the maid. My heart didn't just race, it turned to stone. The absolute audacity of the timing sent a jolt of pure adrenaline through me. I didn't step. Instead, I slipped under the heavy duvet beside her, pulling the fabric up to hide our silhouettes just as the door handle began to turn. "I'm sorry to disturb you, Miss," the maid called out, her voice closer now. "But there’s someone downstairs to see you. They’re insisting it’s an urgent matter" Natalie’s hand gripped my arm beneath the covers, her nails digging into my skin, her breath hitching in a perfect, terrified silence. We laid there frozen, inches apart in the dark, caught in the suffocating tension of being discovered, I wasn't supposed to be here, beneath my stepsister’s duvet. “What the fuck was I thinking? shit”. I muttered underneathLucien's POV"Enough!" Father lashed out angrily as he walked angrily towards me…I stared at Father without saying a word…he looked furious, but unlike everyone else in the room, I wasn't intimidated. He slowly looked around before his gaze settled on me."Lucien…I've tolerated your disrespect for years. I've allowed you to yell at me, insult me, question my decisions, and call me every name imaginable…And I accepted it because I know you've carried resentment ever since your mother disappeared."“And don’t play the victim here when you know you are the mastermind behind everything…” I countered…“Mastermind?” He asked raising a brow at me… “Are you trying to say I planned all this?”“I’m not trying to say anything…I’m simply just stating the fact”"Fact?” He paused before continuing “…I will not sit here and watch you disrespect your brother and Camille. That is where I draw the line.""You draw the line?" I repeated. "That's funny.""What's so funny?""The fact that you think you h
Lucien's POV"Lucien, no!" Natalie's called out she pushed my hand to the side so the bullet didn’t touch Camille instead it hit the wall behind her…"What are you doing?" she shouted, looking back at me…I didn't answer…I just continued to glare at Camille…she glanced at the bullet hole in the wall before looking back at me with a worried look…"You're lucky she saved you today," I said calmly. "Next time, I won't miss… and pray to whatever God that listen that there don’t ever be a next time because I’ll be sure to put a bullet or two into your thick skull…""You've always had a talent for talking big…haven’t you?" She scoffed… “So you're really willing to turn against everyone you know because of some charity case?""What did you just call her Camille?"Camille shrugged. "You heard me loud and clear Lucien...""No," I replied, taking a slow step toward her. "Say it again if you dare..."Father stepped forward to stop me placing her hand in between me and Camille "Lucien end this now
Lucien's POV“What do you mean what’s the occasion?” Father asked mockingly…“You’re drinking wine… almost like you were expecting some good news… what could it be about?”“What are you implying Lucien?”“I’m just asking what must be the good news that makes you to celebrate with a bottle of wine… there must be something special happening today that I hope you wouldn’t mind telling me about”“Nothing really…I just thought I could have a few glasses before you all came back”“A few glasses? Is that why you didn’t bother to call when you didn’t see that we were home up till now?”"So," he said, "how was the grocery shopping?" I couldn't believe what I'd just heard."Grocery shopping?" I snapped. "Are you fucking kidding me right now?""Watch your tone." Father lashed out at me"My tone?" I lashed out bitterly. "…Two people almost lost their lives because of your little grocery shopping! Couldn't you have sent someone else?""There wasn't anyone else in the house.""There wasn't?" I aske
Natalie's POV"Nat... ali... e..." The woman whispered as the doctors dragged her stretcher towards the ICU, I just stood there wondering how this woman knew my name…she slowly lifted a trembling hand toward me before it fell back to her side."Natalie!" one of the doctors shouted. "Please move back!" …the nurses rushed the stretcher through the ICU doors."Clear the way!" the doctors shouted as the doors swung shut.I stood there for several minutes… worried and anxious..."Please..." I whispered. "Please don't die." I wrapped my arms around myself, replaying everything that had happened over and over in my mind."If I hadn't gone for this grocery shopping…this wouldn’t have happened…it’s all my fault"Few seconds later… I noticed someone standing farther down the hallway…someone familiar…I looked a bit closer then I noticed it was…Camille. She was staring directly at me…her expression was almost like she had just seen a ghostBut the expression disappeared almost immediately she spo
Natalie's POV"Where did it go?" I murmured to myself as I stood in the middle of my room, staring at my open wardrobe. “It was right here." I walked a bit closer and pulled every hanger aside… still nothing… "No... Lucien asked me to keep it safe” I checked the top shelf… but still nothing"That's impossible." …the black gown was gone…"Did someone really come in here?"I quickly checked my jewelry box…everything was still there exactly where I had left it."If someone wanted to steal from me... why only the gown?"I searched the room again…under the bed…behind the curtains. "This doesn't make any sense."As I turned around, something near the dressing table caught my attention. "Hm?" a small object reflected the sunlight…I bent down and picked it up…"A bracelet?" it was silver with tiny black stones around it…I examined it for a while before setting back down on my table"This isn't mine…I've never seen it before…So whoever entered my room...left this behind?" I placed it carefully o
Lucien's POV“You sound so good when you moan my name." I mocked then smirked at her as she couldn’t hide her arousal… “why are you still shaking? You want me to continue what I started?” She didn’t answer but I could see the way her body reacted when I touched her… she reached forward to wrap her hands around my neck one more time…then she finally said something… “Would you like to hear it one more time…”“Oh would you look at that…I just remembered I have a whole lot of things to do”“Lucien…” She said frowning at me… she looked rather little in the sheets while looking down at me… I slowly stood up and took the sheets off me… “Where are you going? We weren’t finished yet” She asked again…“I thought you wanted me to leave just a minute ago”“Yes but not now…”“What’s different now?” I smirked as I knew the answer to that question even before she answered but I didn’t just want her to feel my dick inside her, I want her to beg me to bury it inside of her… The shine in her eyes when
“Mum?” I sprinted for the door as I saw her walked past, still in that dream again I never get past every single time, probably a nightmare of some sort but I didn’t see any blood yet. I opened the door to check if mum was alright, she was right there, within reach then I stretched my hand forwar
CHAPTER 3- NO SAFE WORDSNatalie’s POV I really didn’t know he’d want to punish me in place of Damon, I mean we are family after all, my thoughts were all over the place as I walked up stairs towards the door of the study, it was Lucien’s study but even his father didn’t dare to go in there. If he
Natalie’s POV I sat at my room balcony wandering what my life would have been if I didn’t become part of this family, safety, peace and no killing of the innocent, then there came a knock on my door, it was rather a bang and not a knock. “Why can’t I have some peace and quiet for one afternoon, u
Natalie’s POV This felt more than just a regular punishment, I just stared at him in disbelief, The darkness casting his large shadow over me…“Aren’t you going to leave or…”“I’m going creep” I was still trebling but I had to put myself together, I really didn’t think he would take the punishment
