As Amy returned to the syndicate with Drake, the mobsters waited in tense anticipation. The moment she appeared, chaos erupted—shouts and cheers erupted in praise for her daring accomplishment. “Well done, Donna!” “Good job, Donna!” “Our boss’s lady!” A bright smile lit Amy’s face as she brushed past them, her shoulders still aching from her injuries. She passed Theodore and Hayden, who both offered their congratulations, which she returned with a grateful smile. Stopping briefly at Rose and Mandy, their eyes locked in a challenge.
