Chapter 3: Duty Begins

The penthouse door slammed open so hard that the wall shook. My sister stormed in with our father right behind her, her face twisted with pure rage. “You think you can just take what’s mine and play the victim?” huh, she yelled. “Lila, you stole my engagement and now you’re spreading your legs for a mafia boss like some shameless cheap whore!”

I moved backward, my back almost hitting the wall. My hands still smelled of the pen ink from the contract I’d signed barely an hour ago.

Dominic didn’t raise his voice. He didn’t need to. He stepped between us, towering over both of them, voice ice-cold. “How the hell did you get past my guards?"

My sister pointed at me as if i was something filthy . “She ruined everything! Dad, tell her!”

“Get out,” Dominic said, his voice sharper this time. “Before I make sure neither of you walks out of here alive.”

My father’s face went pale. He grabbed my sister’s arm and pulled her toward the door, “Come on, we’ll fix this later...” One of Dominic’s guards stood in the doorway, looking pissed. “Sorry, boss. They claimed it was a family emergency and slipped past the front desk before we could stop them.”

Dominic’s jaw flexed. “Get them out. Now. And double security. No one else gets in without my consent .”

The guard nodded and dragged them toward the elevator. My sister kept shouting over her shoulder. “You’re nothing but his whore now, Lila! Enjoy it while it lasts!”

Finally slamming the door shut. The silence that followed Felt heavier than before

I barely had time to breath before Dominic turned to me slowly. His eyes locked on mine, dark and unreadable

“Strip,” he said.

The word hit me harder than a slap.

My heart slammed against my ribs. My throat went dry “Right now? Just like that?

For a long second I just stood there, the weight of everything I signed earlier came crashing down on me, every instinct in me told me to run but where could I possibly run to.

Dominic...please." "Not like this" I whispered, my voice cracking into a low plea.

He didn't yell. He didn't even grab me. He just unbuckled his belt, the metal clinking loud in the quiet. “You signed the papers. You know the terms. Don't you?"

I had expected him to grab me rough, shove me down and take what he wanted fast and hard. Instead, he crossed the space between us in three slow steps and stopped just to touch me. His fingers caught the hem of my dress. He pulled it up slowly, holding it there giving me one last chance to either fight him or beg him to stop .

But I didn't.

Taking my silence for an answer, he pulled the dress over my head and dropping it to the floor. Cool air hit my skin. I stood there in nothing but my panties, arms crossed over my chest, shaking.

Dominic’s gaze moved over me, dark and steady. He hooked his fingers on my panties and tugged them down, his eyes never leaving mine. He didn't rush. Neither did he use violence . Just that same controlled strength.

“To the bed,” he said quietly.

I walked backward until my legs hit the mattress and sat down hard. He followed, pulling off his pants as he approached towards me. When he climbed over me, his body was heavy but careful. His right hand braced beside my head. The other hand slid between my legs, slowly.

“You’re scared,” he murmured.

“Of course I’m scared.”

He didn’t smile. He just yanked off my bra giving me a short soft massage on my breasts, sucking them hungrily, he brought out his monstrous cock , i gasped because i haven't seen a dick that huge before, he didn't bother to stimulate my pussy before pushing inside me, it was slow at first, stretching me open with a sensation that made my breath catch. Then he penetrated deeper. Rough enough to make me gasp, but controlled enough that the pain melted into something hotter, giving me the kind of pleasure I had never felt before, not even with Derek Valentino my ex-fiance. My hands grabbed his shoulders without thinking. My body betrayed me with a spark of heat I didn’t want.

I hated how good it felt in the middle of all the fear.

He moved in with purpose, his hips rolling steadily, one hand gripped my thigh so tight to keep me rightly positioned and open for him. Every thrust pushing a small sound out of me. I bit my lip hard, trying not to let him hear how my breathing had become ragged. Tension coiled tight in my belly. My legs started to tremble around his waist.

“Look at me,” he ordered, his voice low and dangerously sexy.

I obeyed. His eyes were dark, focused, almost intense. Just watching every reaction on my face as he thrust deeper, harder, the rhythm changing until the slapping of skin on skin filled the room.

My back arched off the edge of the bed. The tension inside me coiled tighter and tighter. I hated myself for the way my body clenched around him, anticipating for more for something I shouldn’t want. I was getting closer to my peak with each thrust, and with one deep thrust from him into my now overly wet core, my orgasm rippled through me like an electric shock hitting me hard and sudden. I cried out, in ecstasy, my nails digging into his back as pleasure ripped through every nerve.

Dominic climaxed right after, a low groan escaping his lips as he buried himself deep, holding my thigh at a place, pulsing inside me.

For a moment, neither of us moved.

He pulled out carefully and rolled beside me. I expected him to get up, to leave, to treat me like the contract stated, spreading my legs every night till I carried his heir. Instead, he remained by my side. His fingers brushing through my hair, slow and gentle, tucking a damp strand behind my ear.

I turned my head to look at him. My voice came out low, almost breathless. "Why are you being gentle?”

He didn’t answer. Just kept stroking my hair like it was the most natural thing in the world. His breathing was even, but I could feel his muscles tighten with tension .

I lay there, my heart still racing, body warm and aching in ways I didn’t want to think about. The contract felt heavier now. I would spread my legs for him every single day, till I gave him a child. And I had just let him start it.

Sleep pulled at me eventually, exhaustion winning over fear.

When I woke up, the clock on the nightstand read 9:30 p.m. The bed beside me was empty and cold.

I sat up, clutching the bed sheet to my chest. I heard low voices coming from the hallway outside the bedroom door, two voices, identical in tone, arguing in hushed, angry bursts.

One was definitely Dominic.

The other voice said, clear enough to freeze me at a spot, “She’s mine too now. Don’t think you get to keep her all to yourself.”

My heart slammed against my ribs. I clutched the sheet tighter, straining my ears to hear more, but the voices dropped lower.

It now clicked "twin thing".

The words of the guard from earlier echoed in my head.

I slipped out of bed with shaky legs and crept towards the door, every step quiet. My hand hovered over the handle.

Whatever was happening out there, it was about me.

And I had just signed away

my life to one of them or maybe both.

I froze in the safe house kitchen the next morning, my phone pressed tight to my ear. Cassandra's voice echoed through its speaker the moment I picked up. "Lila aren't tired of being a slut, Huh?" What the hell do you want from me, I snapped. Nothing just looking out for my sister, anyways I have proof that the twins are just using your dumb ass, meet me up tonight or regret it forever. " Do you really expect me to believe you after what you did?" I whispered, keeping my voice down. "You drugged me, you ruined my life."Cassandra laughed softly from the other end. Really, but at least I wasn't the one who ended up being a cheap whore to the two most powerful mafia bosses. Shut the hell up and freaky leave me alone I almost yelled over the phone. Oh come on Lila stop being so pathetic. But I have proof that they planned everything from the very start which includes drugging you that night. And one more thing Lila, remember to come alone tonight. I gasped staggering backward, my back

I kept tossing around, sleep refusing to come, the thought of everything possibly going south if not carefully handled made my chest tight. I tried to shift, but Dominic's arms tightened around me instantly, even in his sleep. Dante murmured inaudibly against my shoulder, his fingers brushing my stomach again. I closed my eyes trying to breathe through both the fear and warmth that kept pulling me deeper into them. The next morning, Dominic woke up first. He kissed my forehead gently before slipping out of bed, I pretended to still be asleep but listening as he moved around the room. Dante stirred fully awake a few minutes later, pressing a soft kiss on my neck before following his brother. I stayed in bed a little longer, trying to gather my thoughts when I finally got up and walked into the living room, both of them were already dressed and waiting."We're moving today to a more safer place", Dominic said without greeting. His voice was calm but firm. You didn't mention anything ab

I pulled back from the hug first, just enough to stare at both of them. "How do I know you're not just using me to fulfill the oath's terms and conditions?" My voice came out shaky but I didn't look away. "And how do I even know that all this isn't just about winning the empire? Huh."Dominic's eyes darkened but his grip tightened, not letting go of me.Because if we only wanted the babies, we wouldn't be standing here like this. We wouldn't be obsessed with you, nor would we be scared that you'd walk away.Dante snaked his hand around my waist, pulling me closer. "Lila look at me." His eyes softer than usual, almost pleading, "if this was only about having an heir like the oath had stated, we would have just locked you up in a room and wait for the delivery of the babies. We wouldn't be losing sleep worrying about you, and we wouldn't be this... Consumed." I carefully glanced at each of their faces.Dominic looked so serious, almost pained. Dante looked sincere in a way I rarely saw

Dominic's hand stayed on my thigh the whole ride back from the hospital. While Dante's arm was around my shoulders, holding me so close like he was afraid I might vanish. The car felt too small, too quiet. None of them uttered a single word when we finally pulled into the underground garage of the penthouse. Dominic helped me out first. His touch was careful, almost gentle but he clenched his jaw. Dante walked on my other side, his hand held my lower back. They didn't say a word until we were inside the elevator."You look scared," Dominic said quietly as the doors closed. I nodded while staring at the floor, having to deal with expecting twins and also dealing with the both of you... feels like I'm drowning already. I stuttered.Dante spun me around to face him. His eyes softer than usual. "We're not trying to drown you, Lila. We're only trying to keep you by our side."The elevator dinged and slid open. They walked me straight to the living room.Dominic went straight for the drawe

The argument of the previous night still hung heavily in the air when we arrived at the private hospital the next morning. I sat between Dominic and Dante in the back seat, my hands resting on my stomach, the memory of my threat; " I will choose neither of you" still burned in my heart. Neither Dominic nor Dante brought up the issue again, but I could feel the tension between them. I was abruptly pulled out of my thoughts when the driver came to a halt in front of the hospital . Dominic and Dante helped me step down. Getting to the doctor's office, he gave out a cheeky smile, offering seats to us. He asked me to lay on the bed for him to check me, after checking me.The doctor's voice was calm but my heart wasn't. " You're carrying twins". Dominic and Dante froze on either of my side. "Twins", they chorused together, they both looked at each other then stared back at me with the same dark possessive hunger.I sat on the examination table, the cold gel still on my stomach, staring at

"You touched her without me last night," Dominic growled, shoving Dante against the wall. Dante smirked, not even trying to push back. "She asked for me, jealous brother?".I quickly stood up between them in the living room, my heart pounding so hard it hurt. The air between us felt thick. They had been circling each other all morning making small comments, that turned into bigger jabs, and now it has finally boiled into a full confrontation."Stop it, both of you. Right now "I yelled, stepping closer, my voice coming out sharper than I intended. Dominic's eyes stayed locked on his brother, his clenching. "He thinks he can have you whenever he wants, as though the contract doesn't matter."Dante chuckled low and dangerous. "The contract was your idea,”Dominic remember.I'm just making sure she knows she has a choice". I pushed my way between them, my hands both on their chests. "I said stop. You're not some animals fighting over a piece of meat. I'm standing right here. Talk to me in
