MasukTHIRD PERSON POV.
Dante’s fists slammed repeatedly against the punching bag, his rage increasing with each strike. He could not get over the audacity of that new girl questioning his authority and humiliating him in front of the entire school, something that had never happened in his entire life. With every hit, his anger grew stronger as he silently plotted ways to make her pay dearly for it. “Still thinking about that girl?” Collin teased, a smirk playing on his lips while casually resting his hands on the breasts of a girl neither of his brothers had seen before. But Dante and Kris paid her no attention. It was a regular sight seeing Collin, the youngest of the triplets, with a different girl almost every day. Dante stopped the swinging punching bag, violently yanked off his gloves, and threw them across the room. “She really got to you, huh, bro?” Collin chuckled. “I have never seen you this worked up over a girl before.” Dante glared at his brother, clearly not amused. He collapsed into a nearby chair and muttered under his breath, “That stupid bitch.” Collin leaned forward, watching as Dante repeatedly ran his hands through his hair. “So what are you going to do about this girl?” he asked with a smug grin. “She made a fool out of you in front of the entire school. What’s stopping her from doing it again? I think you should teach her a lesson. One she would never forget.” Kris, who had been silently scrolling through his phone, finally decided to speak. “Or maybe you should let it slide. After all, if you had not made that ridiculous request, none of this would have happened,” he pointed out calmly. Dante scoffed. “Please, don’t start with one of your lectures. I’m not in the mood for that. Besides, you wouldn’t understand. Asserting dominance is much better than trying to play nice.” “If that’s completely true, then why didn’t it work on that girl?” Kris asked matter-of-factly. “Because humans are stubborn and brainless. Eventually, I’ll teach that weak creature her place. Trust me.” Kris merely shook his head, not interested in arguing further. Just then, the door burst wide open. Standing there was Ava, clutching a crumpled piece of paper in her hand while breathing heavily as though she had run all the way there. Without sparing anyone else in the room a glance, she marched straight toward Dante and threw the paper at him. “Do I look like a joke to you?” she yelled, jabbing a finger against his hard chest, her face red with rage. “Just because you’re the Alpha’s son does not give you the right to treat me like this. I refuse to quit!” Dante’s confusion slowly shifted into irritation. “What the hell are you talking about? Last time I checked, you were the one who injured my nose, and now you have the audacity to storm into my private gym and start talking nonsense?” Ava crossed her arms, her voice calmer now. “It’s a shame your nose healed so nicely. I liked it better when it was disfigured. It suited your personality.” Her comment earned a few suppressed laughs from the others in the room, though they quickly disguised them as coughs the moment Dante shot them a warning glare. “If you think you’re going to expel me because of some stupid misunderstanding, then you must be joking. I’m not leaving after my mother spent so much money on my tuition,” Ava added firmly. “What are you talking about, weakling?” Dante narrowed his eyes at her. Before she could answer, Collin interrupted. “Seeing as you embarrassed Dante in front of the whole school, I thought it would be better if you got expelled before you corrupted anyone else’s mind.” He grinned before adding, “Just following my teacher’s example.” Ava’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Wow. So not only are you bullies, but you’re cowards too?” she scoffed. “What’s wrong? Are you scared I’m going to destroy your little empire?” “I’m not a coward,” Dante snapped immediately, unwilling to let his image take another hit. “And what makes you think I’m going to let you off without proper punishment?” he asked, leaning forward until he was inches away from her face. “I may not be as powerful as you people, but one thing I will never tolerate is allowing some spoiled rich boys to treat me like I’m nothing!” Dante burst into laughter as though she had just told the funniest joke imaginable. “We can’t treat you like nothing. You want to know why?” He paused, his tone dropping into something colder and far more wicked. “Because to us, you already are nothing.” Ava bit down on her lip, holding back the anger threatening to explode inside her. “I guess you need more than a nosebleed to knock some sense into you.” “What I need, sweetheart, is someone to remind the entire school what happens when you end up in the Golden Boys’ bad books.” “Golden Boys? That has got to be the lamest name I’ve ever heard,” Ava scoffed before turning to leave. “See you at school tomorrow, Navy,” Dante called after her mockingly. The second she disappeared from the room, Kris spoke up. “I like her.” “I agree,” Collin nodded approvingly. “It’s rare seeing someone stand up to Dante, especially someone of her rank. I find it admirable.” “I wouldn’t call it admirable,” Dante muttered, clenching his fists tightly. “There’s nothing admirable about stupidity.” “What are you going to do to her?” Collin asked almost too eagerly. But that was not surprising. He had always enjoyed drama far too much. Dante fell silent for a moment, staring blankly ahead before finally speaking in a low, husky tone. “Exactly what we’ve always done to people who forget their place.” “You wouldn’t go that far,” Kris warned cautiously. Dante’s expression darkened. “She asked for it.”AVA’S POV. I hurriedly made my way to class and saw that Dante was not in class yet. I have been paranoid since I found out that Piper has been following me around. Early this morning, I kept looking out of my window to check if she was stalking me, but I never saw her. I barely had any good sleep; I was so paranoid that I had a nightmare. I flinched in fear when I felt a touch on my shoulder. I quickly turned around to see it was my classmate, who gave me a weird look before asking if she could borrow my eraser. “Sure,” I murmured, handing it to her. Mrs. Danny entered the class and began writing on the whiteboard. I glanced at the clock; it was already ten past eight, and Dante was nowhere to be found. I wanted to apologise for running off like that when he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was so scared and didn’t know how to react. I guess my reaction must have hurt him a lot because he has been offline throughout the weekend. Thirty minutes into the class, Dante finally ope
AVA’S POV. I walked along the lonely road barefoot, feeling as though my heart was being ripped out of my chest. Maybe I shouldn’t have run away, but everything had happened so fast, and I didn’t know how to react when he asked me to be his girlfriend. I love Dante. I have liked him for a while. But it just seemed like everything was happening too fast and far too perfectly that I was sure I was going to mess it up. My life was a mess. It had always been a mess, and even though most of my debt had reduced, I still owed Josh, and I did not want to exploit my mate’s love for me to pay him back. It just felt too cruel. If I said yes to him, I didn’t want him to think it was because of the money. Plus, part of me worried that he might not be able to handle me being human once the whole pack knew we were together. I had met his father, and I knew what he was like. I heard a car honking at me, and I moved to the side of the road to let whoever was driving pass. But the honking continue
DANTE’S POV. I pulled up at Ava’s home and then rang the doorbell twice before Ava opened the door. “Hi, what are you doing here?” Ava asked, surprised to see me in her home. “I came to see you, pumpkin,” I said, stroking her cheeks. Ava closed her eyes at my touch before slowly opening them again. “I just was not expecting you. You could have at least called,” she murmured. “I miss you terribly that I could not think of anything else but to be by your side,” I pouted. “Don’t blame me; it’s your charm that has made me this way.” “Oh, okay… Come in then,” she said, opening the door wider to let me in. “No,” I shook my head. Ava raised her eyebrows, looking confused. “You don’t like my home?” she asked defensively. I smiled, letting her know I had no problem coming into her home, but I had prepared a little surprise for her, and she could come with me. Ava made to go upstairs to change, but I told her there would be no need, as she was perfect just the way she was. Besides, I
TIANA’S POV The trip was a total disaster. I dragged my fingers through my hair before collapsing onto my pink bed, letting out a silent scream into the pillow. At the very least, I should’ve been relieved to be back. No more mountains or mosquitoes. But I was panicking because soon enough, Kris’s father would call me in and ask why I failed. And I didn’t have a good answer. I wasn’t exactly a murderer. I could say that because of Ava disappearance and the triplets being paranoid over it and insisting me came back earlier than planned was the reason why I couldn’t do it but I doubted he would want to hear that, I exhaled sharply and rolled onto my side. “God… I’m not cut out for this,” I muttered. I’m really not a Luna. My phone beeped. I blinked and reached for it immediately. Mark. My heart skipped. I opened the messages and saw a string of texts waiting for me. A small smile pulled at my lips as I read them. I typed back a quick “Hey.” Within seconds, my phone rang.
AVA’S POV“Everyone! Ava’s back!”Piper’s scream echoed through the village, instantly drawing attention.I blinked against the sunlight, my head pounding. Brian must’ve drugged me before dumping me near the mountain. My entire body felt heavy, and even standing upright took effort.“Ava, oh my God.” Piper rushed toward me and pulled me into a tight hug. “I’m so happy you’re okay.”I barely managed to stay on my feet, leaning against her for support. The gas Brian’s men had sprayed still left me dizzy and nauseous.Collin spotted me the second we reached the village.“Ava!”He ran toward me, scooping me up into his arms so suddenly I let out a weak laugh. He spun me around before setting me back down carefully and kissing my forehead.“I missed you so much, Princess,” he said, relief written all over his face. “I couldn’t sleep knowing you were out there somewhere.”Dante and Kris appeared seconds later. Before I could even react, they pulled me into another hug, both talking over eac
AVA’S POV“Brian! Untie me!” I screamed, struggling against the ropes binding my hands behind my back. The blindfold pressed tightly over my eyes made it impossible to tell where I was or how long I had been trapped there.“Brian! I said untie me, you asshole!”My voice echoed through the room, but no one answered. Then, after what felt like forever, I heard a door creak open. Heavy footsteps approached slowly, unhurried. Someone stopped in front of me.A hand brushed against my cheek, fingers moving deliberately across my skin before tugging at the blindfold. The scent of expensive cologne mixed with cigarette smoke hit me immediately. The blindfold came off.Brian stood in front of me with that same arrogant smirk I had come to dislike.“Miss me, hon?” he asked lazily.I glared at him. “Was all this really necessary? You could have just talked to me like a normal person.”A low chuckle left his throat.“There is nothing normal about me, Ava. You should know that by now.” He took a
THIRD PERSON POV. The door suddenly creaked open.Kris walked in.His gaze immediately landed on Dante’s shoulder, and his expression darkened.“For fuck’s sake.”Dante didn’t look up.He continued cleaning the wound.Kris folded his arms.“Do you ever get tired of making everything harder than it
COLLIN'S POVWatching Ava laugh with her mother did something strange to my chest. Maybe it was because twenty minutes ago she'd been crying so hard I thought she might break apart or maybe it was because my wolf was practically wagging his tail watching our mate smile again.Either way, I couldn'
AVA’S POV.Collin, who had been waiting outside, moved toward me with lightning speed and pulled me into a hug before I completely fell apart. The second his arms wrapped around me, a sob ripped out of my chest.“My mom…” I gasped. “Collin, my mom…”“Hey. Hey.” His voice was calm despite the panic
AVA’S POV.The first thing I noticed was the light. It was far too bright. I squeezed my eyes shut and groaned as pain throbbed through my head as though someone was repeatedly slamming a drum inside my skull.Where am I?I tried to sit up, but the sharp ache in my head immediately made me regret
