I stared down the window like it was the last ticket to hell. Which, ironically, it was… Because, trying to sneak out of the mansion wasn't the best of ideas.

There were guards mounted around the house, and the magic barriers made even sneaking out impossible.

But I had to do it. Kian was in danger, and he could be in greater danger than he already is if I delayed much longer.
