I see the door knob turn a few minutes after the guys have left. I send Brady a quick text that I already had typed up; we had a code word that I would use, but two warnings are better than one. I hide my phone under my thigh and let my body go limp against the bed.

A man enters in scrubs and a face mask that covers his mouth. He’s not fooling me, however. Those eyes have haunted me for long enough.
