Just as Leila was about to run away, she felt a hand grab her by the hair and cover her nose and mouth. "Where are the quads?" Catherine shook at the man's high-pitched voice. Leila’s emotions were out of control. How could the men have known that the house contained quadruplets? Also, why were they after the kids? "Search the entire house.” The four boys were taken out of the house, their cries muffled like those of animals. "Eliminate the bitch." The last sound Leila heard was the man's hasty stride, before a knife was thrust right through her heart. They ran away, leaving a massive trail of blood and her body laying on the ground. *** I got to the door of the house and a chill went through my body. The primary entrance had a small trail of blood. When I opened the door and found Catherine lying in a pool of blood, fear seeped into me. She was gone. After searching the entire house for the Quads, my throat was choked with dejected tears. Hugging Leila's motionless form, I let forth a growl from my throat. I cried for a while before getting up and leaving the house. Knowing that I would lose my courage if I looked back, I dared not. Leila was very special to me and I promised to avenge her death. Knowing that there was only one place to go, I left the city. I was going to the only person that could help me find my children. Caiden. I was going to revisit the past. I had to. I was going to tell him everything. My feet stopped as, after seven long years, Kyle's gaze met mine. I knew he hated me, I found his presence and the fact that I have to see him again quite unbearable. I realized I couldn't give up. Next, I recalled Logan's bravery; Noah's serenity; Jamie's beauty; and Kyler's ferocity. I would not have risked coming back here except for them. I was determined to locate my quads and was willing to face hatred from all members of the pack, even Rae, in order to be reunited with my kids. "Ava, what are you doing here?" snarl made me take a step back. He took delight in my frailty. "I'd like to speak with Rae," I spoke in a firm and uncompromising manner. "You ceased to be a part of this pack when you fled like a coward," Kyle mocked. He was in that same terrible mood that I'd always seen. "You are not entitled to any requests at this time." "That's alright. If you won't take me to him, I'll search the entire pack until I find him. Kyle was taken aback. I could sense that Kyle was observing me and that he didn't like what he saw on my face. I was not the terrified girl he had exiled from the pack seven years ago. I appeared willing to do anything and no longer displayed any fear or trepidation for him. "Why do you want to see him in such a hurry?" He asked as though he cared. "That's none of your business." "Well, as the beta, I can't allow people like you to bother the Alpha," Kyle retorted, clearly offended by my statement. "Well then, I'm gonna find him myself.” I turned to leave after giving him one last glance, but before I could go three steps , I felt Kyle's hand grabbing me. He had always been power hungry, particularly with Rae. Kyle almost lost it when I started to get close to Rae. Even worse, I didn't know why he detested me so much; he loathed me before he even got to know me. It felt like a big issue to be on Kyle's blacklist, but even though the beta was dangerous and constantly irate, I didn't have time to deal with his paranoia. He released me right away, saying, "I will take you to Rae." Nevertheless, I was aware that I couldn't trust him. "I want to see him banishing you like the worthless wolf you are." A content smile expressed his belief that he would prevail in this fight once again. I wanted to answer him, but I gave up. I said nothing as Kyle took me to where Are was. Inside, Rae was hearing tales from Kastor, the pack's most seasoned hunter. The way he told his stories amused Rae. He noticed Kyle at the entrance. “Kyle, why are you here so early?" As the smile on his face vanished. He coughed and said, "Apologies for disturbing Alpha, but you have a visitor." "This early, Kyle?" Kyle felt chills down his spine at Rae's deep, disgruntled voice. "Who's that?" "Seeing with your own eyes is preferable.” I eventually overcame my fear and tried to cover up the old wounds that were still bleeding in my chest. "We need to talk, Rae," I said. Rae took a step forward, surprise evident on his face. “Hello, Ava. Didn't occur to me that you're in fact still alive.” hearing his voice after so long, pronouncing my name, made me feel like I was in the past. But I didn’t want to dwell on the past. I didn't have time for that. Rae's suspicions were heightened by the unsettling emptiness in my expression. "I want to talk to you, ask your men to leave," I said, raising my voice above Rae's. "You have no right to make requests of me." Even though I was afraid by the harshness in his tone, I didn't back away. Nevertheless, Rae was interested in hearing what I had to say and told Kastor and Kyle to leave us alone. Rae's jaw twitched with rage as Kyle said, "I don't think it's right to leave you alone with a traitor.” "Are you saying that I am incapable of defending myself against an omega? Kyle, Get out of here!" Rae yelled, looking appalled.AvaElio forgot about his quest to search for their delayed desserts, and walked over to her. "How much have you had to drink?" Elio asked, he used his sweetest voice.Ella bowed her head, eyes cast to the floor, blushing but she couldn't help but giggle once more. Elio took a seat next to her, and caressed her cheek. He gently pulled her head up.He repeated his question, "how much have you had to drink?""Three glasses, maybe four," Ella replied, staring directly into Elio's eyes. She took notice of how nice his eyes were — a swirling mixture of plush brown, mint and gold. They were breath-taking eyes, if she were any good of an artist, she would have wanted to paint them. She wanted to shout to the world how amazing his eyes were."You have beautiful eyes," she blurted."So you think I have beautiful eyes, yet you feel no attraction towards me at all," he muttered, annoyed."You scare me," she admitted, still staring into his eyes. She shouldn't have been staring so intently into h
AvaBeta Elio took Ella's suitcase from her mom, who arrived later, with a glare in his direction. It seemed that the two wouldn't get on as he wasn't an Alpha. But then, he was such a high ranking wolf and she didn't see why it wasn't enough for the woman. She had no idea what it meant to be chosen by such a male."Have you seen Sam?" She asked her mom, as Elio carried her bag to his car."I suggested that he return back to the pack early." Her mom frowned, giving her a look of obvious annoyance. She knew she blamed her for the commotion between Sam and Elio — but she blamed herself as well, she thought she was to blame. They were fighting over her."Ella, I'll give you time with your family and then, we'll leave." Elio said, from behind her.She glanced back to see him getting into his black venza. She gave him a small nod, before turning back to her mom."Goodbye, mom." She lowered her head in sadness, before she turned away."Wait," her mom growled, grabbing her arm before she cou
AvaA few males were interested in her, and that felt nice. They spoke, they flirted and they spoke of choosing her. Then, they saw her strength and changed their minds. She was too weak for them. A wolf, who was very much interested, decided she wasn't good for him, after he got a closer look at her score.Sam just stood next to her, shaking his head in annoyance. "You deserve way better than that bastard anyway.""Thank you, Sam." She smiled at him. She knew he was trying to make her feel better. She took a glass of water off the table behind her, before handing one to him. They both stood inside one of the marquees, the summer sun setting in the sky. Sam took the glass from her, before popping a finger sandwich into his mouth. Her best friend caught the eye of another girl, who smiled at him sensually. But Sam didn't even pay her any attention, and turned back to her. He had dismissed every She Wolf who had tried to flirt with her, and refused to seek out any girl he wanted. His de
AvaElla met other wolves who were going for the mating fair. Both the males and the females were all dressed up to show what they've got. To capture the attention of their opposite. But clearly, the girls were more dressed up.When she sighted her best friend, Sam, she rushed up over to him with a smile. Sam wore a pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt. His brown hair was styled messily but in a good way, giving him a handsome look.Sam was a very good looking man and females would undoubtedly seek his attention at the mating fair."Ella," he grinned."Hi," she smiled back at him."You look breathtaking," he complimented, moving forward to give her a hug.She swatted his hands away looking shy and blushing seriously. She didn't like being the center of attraction at anything."Don't mess my hair up," she joked. Sam laughed along with her as he shook his head.Ella was a quiet person but spoke more when she was comfortable around people. With Sam, she could be herself. He gave her a
Ava Hello guys, we're going into Elio's story. It's a few chapters but I promise it's worth your time. Enjoy.******Three months later...The alpha king of the Full Moon pack was hosting a mating fair. He invited all the neighbouring alphas and betas in the region, pack members, mated and unmated. It was an opportunity for them to find their own mates or choose one.The day finally came and Rae, his family and Elio arrived at the pack.Ella half screamed as she jumped awake from the bed. She was sweating on her face and neck, her hair sticking to her skin. Her heart beat wildly in her chest and her hands trembled. Feeling quite scared, she whipped her head round the room as though looking for the source of her fear or anything else that she was afraid of.She absorbed the familiar look of her bedroom and let out a breath of relief."It was just a nightmare, it was just a nightmare, it was just a nightmare," she kept repeating to herself. She looked around the room, her face filled w
Ava"Why did you act in that way, Logan?" I sobbed because, despite knowing the answer, I genuinely wanted to understand Logan. The youngster yelled at me, "You're keeping me from seeing my dad. Mom, I'll never be able to accept it."Logan then hurried to his room and shut himself in for the remainder of the morning. I fell into the living room couch and covered my head with my hands as I struggled to accept what was happening."We really need to allow the boy some time to get used to his new life," Jay said, sitting next to me and giving me a back rub. "I'm so sorry about all this, Ava."It wasn't going to be that simple, though. My choice to keep my distance from Rae was having an impact on how I interacted with my own kids as well. I considered telling the quads the truth about Rae and tried to get Logan to stay there without his father."He'll try to run away again," I complained as I hurried to stand up. "Since I know Logan well enough, I know he won't give up on the possibility
Ava "You can't f*cking do this!" Kyle yelled. "Rae, our friendship dates back to our early years. My dad used to work for your dad, and I currently work for you. I can make amends and we can start afresh." Kyle stated angrily. He turned his back on his best friend and stated icily, "Yes of course,
Ava "Thank you, Alpha Trey. I'll leave soon, I won't stay for too long." I responded.Jay's behavior caused shivers down my spine for some reason. But if I was going to find my kids, I was going to have to put my trust in him.Alpha Trey simply glanced at me before quietly withdrawing. Everywhere
Ava"But, everyone in this city is aware that Kyle is your beta." Elio objected."Well, no matter what everyone knows, I'm beginning to have doubts about him. Derrick won't mind if you come to work for me, either." Rae defended. With gleaming eyes, Elio turned to face Rae, still not quite believing
Ava"Annie, what you're asking me to do is ridiculous," Kyle said angrily. "How could you suggest that?""Kyle my reputation and position are on the line. Do you know what the pack will say or do upon learning that someone else took your place?""I don't give a f*ck about all that," he declared, de
