Crystal's POV

I was at the clearing before the elder arrived.

That surprised me. Yesterday I had barely dragged myself out of bed, and today I was standing in the middle of the open ground before the sun had fully settled in the sky. I did not think too hard about what that meant.

The air in the clearing felt the same as it had before. That quiet pressure felt familiar now. I exhaled slowly, rolling my shoulders and letting my feet settle against the ground.
