The problem is that Callen just assumes she is her mate just because Ryder is. We haven't seen his wolf confirm it yet.

I agree. The chapters seem to mostly end halfway through a thought process and not a proper cliffhanger. It's really annoying, and I hope that as the story progresses the author will stop.
