My fingers trembled against my stomach.

Pregnant.

I was pregnant.

The pack doctor’s words echoed inside my head until I couldn’t hear anything else.

“Congratulations, Luna… you’re carrying the Alpha’s child.”

A sharp pain twisted through my lower abdomen, forcing me to bend over.

“Evelyn!”

Someone shouted my name, but the voices around me sounded distant, as if I were trapped underwater.

I couldn’t breathe.

I couldn’t think.

All I knew was that the tiny life growing inside me had just become the most important thing in the world.

“She’s going to faint!”

A pair of hands reached for me.

Before they could touch me, Kael stepped forward.

For one foolish second, hope bloomed inside me.

Maybe…

Maybe he still cared.

Maybe he regretted what he’d done.

Instead of holding me, he frowned.

“What is it now?”

His cold voice sliced through the silence.

I stared at him, unable to believe what I’d just heard.

“What is it… now?”

Did he think I was pretending?

Did he think I wanted everyone’s attention?

The elder nearest to us frowned. “Alpha, your Luna doesn’t look well.”

Kael’s expression remained unchanged.

“She’ll recover.”

Recover?

I had just lost my marriage.

My dignity.

My future.

And he thought I would simply recover.

Selene stepped closer, her beautiful face filled with concern.

“Kael, maybe we should postpone the ceremony.”

She reached for his arm.

“I don’t want anyone to think I came between you two.”

The words sounded considerate.

Almost kind.

If I hadn’t caught the tiny smile that disappeared the moment Kael looked at her, I might have believed her.

“You didn’t,” Kael said firmly.

“You’ve done nothing wrong.”

His words settled over the square like a final judgment.

The pack members exchanged glances.

Some looked uncomfortable.

Others didn’t even try to hide their satisfaction.

“I knew it,” someone whispered.

“Our Alpha never loved her.”

“Evelyn was only Luna because of the late Alpha.”

“Selene has always been his true mate.”

Their voices surrounded me from every direction.

Each one stole another piece of my pride.

I refused to cry.

Not here.

Not in front of the people who wanted to watch me break.

The chief elder stepped between us.

“Alpha Kael, according to our laws, a rejected Luna has the right to challenge the decision before the Moon Goddess.”

“I won’t challenge him,” I said quietly.

The elder looked at me in surprise.

“But—”

“I won’t beg for a place in a man’s heart.”

My voice was calm.

Calmer than I felt.

If Kael wanted freedom…

I’d give it to him.

His eyes met mine for the first time since the ceremony began.

Something unreadable flickered across his face.

Relief?

Guilt?

I no longer cared.

The elder sighed heavily.

“Then the rejection will become official before midnight.”

Midnight.

In less than three hours…

I would no longer be the Luna of Blackwood Pack.

A strange numbness settled over me.

Three years of loving Kael.

Three years of trying to become enough.

And it all ended with a single sentence.

No apology.

No explanation.

Just…

“I reject you.”

As the crowd began to disperse, I turned to leave.

“Wait.”

Kael’s voice stopped me.

Slowly, I looked back.

He walked toward me until only a few steps separated us.

For a moment, neither of us spoke.

Finally, he reached into the pocket of his ceremonial coat and pulled out a black bank card.

“Take this.”

I stared at it.

“What is it?”

“There are five million in the account.”

My heart clenched.

“I don’t need your money.”

“It’s enough for you to start over.”

Start over?

Was that what he thought this was?

A business deal?

He had discarded three years of my life and expected money to erase the pain.

“I said I don’t want it.”

His jaw tightened.

“Don’t be stubborn.”

A bitter laugh escaped my lips.

“So that’s what you think this is?”

“Evelyn—”

“No.”

I stepped back.

“You don’t get to reject me…”

I swallowed the lump in my throat.

“…and then pay me to disappear.”

Without another word, I walked away.

This time, he didn’t stop me.

But as I reached the stone steps leading out of the sacred square, a familiar voice called after me.

“Luna!”

It was Doctor Helena.

She ran toward me, clutching a small leather medical bag.

She looked frightened.

Very frightened.

When she reached me, she lowered her voice until only I could hear.

“Luna… don’t tell anyone about the baby.”

My heart skipped a beat.

“What?”

She glanced over her shoulder to make sure no one was listening.

“Someone broke into my office this afternoon.”

A chill ran down my spine.

“They searched through every patient file.”

I felt the blood drain from my face.

“The only file they took…”

Her hands trembled as she grabbed mine.

“…was yours.”

To be continued…

  • The Luna My Alpha Regrets Losing   The Archers in the Dark

They didn’t attack right away. That was almost worse.Dozens of arrows stayed trained on us from the rocks above, close enough that I could hear the faint creak of bowstrings straining to hold their draw, and still nobody loosed a single one. A man stepped forward from among them, unhurried, like he had all the time the mountain could give him.“Princess,” he said, and bowed his head just slightly, mockingly. “You’ve kept us waiting.”“You have the wrong person.” My voice came out steadier than I expected, though my hands weren’t nearly as calm. “I’m no one’s princess.”The king’s hand closed lightly around my wrist, a warning disguised as a touch. “Don’t answer them,” he murmured, barely moving his lips. “Not another word.”I swallowed whatever I’d been about to say next and hated how much sense it made.-----The leader’s eyes never left me, not even when he addressed the king directly.“We don’t want a war with you tonight,” he said. “We want her. Hand her over, and your men walk a

  • The Luna My Alpha Regrets Losing   The Carriage Of Secrets

I stopped with one foot on the carriage step and looked back. The forest stood exactly as it had an hour ago — same trees, same shredded ground where the fighting had been — and yet nothing about it belonged to me anymore. My old life had ended somewhere in there, quietly, without a funeral. I wondered, not for the first time tonight, if I was about to make the same mistake all over again. Trusting someone with a crown because he’d asked nicely, because refusing felt harder than agreeing.I got in anyway. The carriage was more luxurious than anywhere I’d ever set foot. Velvet cushions. Gold thread catching the lantern light. It should have felt safe.It felt like a very beautiful cage.A crowned wolf was stitched into the curtains, the thread so fine it looked painted rather than sewn. Across from me hung a small family portrait, the faces worn soft with age, features blurred into suggestions rather than people — as if time had deliberately sanded them down. And beside the king’s seat

  • The Luna My Alpha Regrets Losing   The Truth She Should Never Know

The battlefield had been full of noise a moment ago — steel, shouting, the wet sounds of things I didn’t want to think about. Then the king arrived, and all of it stopped. Not slowed. Stopped, like someone had cut a string.I expected relief. I expected the kind of safety you feel when a parent walks into a room and the monster under the bed suddenly isn’t real anymore. Instead, I watched grown warriors — men who hadn’t flinched an hour ago — drop to their knees so fast it looked like their bodies had made the decision without asking them first. The king didn’t run to me. He didn’t open his arms, didn’t call my name like I’d heard he might, didn’t do any of the things I’d quietly hoped for without admitting I was hoping at all.He just looked at me.Not the way people look at something they love. The way someone looks at a locked door they’ve been carrying the key to for years, checking it still fits.“Leave us,” he said. “All but the commander.”The clearing emptied fast enough that

  • The Luna My Alpha Regrets Losing   The Kingdom That Was Stolen

I couldn’t move. The words echoed through my mind like thunder. The last surviving princess of the Lycan Kingdom. It had to be a lie.A mistake. Some cruel joke the Moon Goddess had decided to play after everything Alpha Kael had already taken from me.“I think you’ve mistaken me for someone else,” I whispered, taking a step back. “I grew up in Blackwood Pack. My mother died when I was young. I don’t belong to any kingdom.”Commander Rowan lowered his head respectfully.“Your mother made certain that no one would find you.”“My mother wasn’t royalty.”“She was.”Silence settled over the clearing. The guards remained kneeling, their eyes fixed on the ground as though looking directly at me without permission would be disrespectful.Everything felt unreal.“If this is true…” My voice trembled. “Why was I abandoned?”Commander Rowan’s expression darkened.“You were never abandoned.”He looked toward the black carriage waiting beneath the towering pines.“You were hidden.”My fingers tigh

  • The Luna My Alpha Regrets Losing   The Royal Guards Secret

My knees threatened to give out. Minutes ago, I had believed the worst pain I would ever know was hearing my husband reject me before the entire pack.I had been wrong. Now death had come looking for my unborn child.and then the forest went silent. No wind. No birdsong. Just Evelyn’s own ragged breathing, loud in her ears, and the metallic scent of blood thick in the cold air.She pressed her back against the nearest tree, legs trembling too badly to hold her weight without help. Around her, dark shapes moved between the trunks—warriors in black-and-silver armor, moving with a precision that told her they had done this before, many times.Their commander, a tall man with silver hair pulled back from a hard, weathered face, walked a slow circle through the clearing, sword still drawn, eyes scanning the shadows for anything that still breathed and meant her harm. Only when he seemed satisfied did he lower the blade. The other guards moved without needing to be told, closing ranks aroun

  • The Luna My Alpha Regrets Losing   They Came For My Child

The words struck me harder than the cold night air.“Kill the Luna.”For one frozen heartbeat, I couldn’t move.Four cloaked figures stood between the ancient pines, their faces hidden beneath black hoods. Moonlight glinted off the silver blades in their hands, each weapon etched with runes meant to weaken werewolves. They hadn’t come to rob me.They hadn’t come to frighten me.They had come to make sure I never left this forest alive. My fingers instinctively covered my stomach.No.Not me.My baby. They were here for my baby. One of the men stepped forward, his boots crushing the fallen leaves beneath him.“The Alpha was foolish enough to let her leave alone,” he sneered. “Made our job easy.”Another chuckled.“I expected the former Luna to have guards.”“The proud ones always think they can survive without help.”I forced myself to breathe.Panic would get us both killed. There was only one narrow path behind me, winding deeper into the forest. If I could reach the river, the rushi
