LOGINBianca’s Point of View
It’s still dark when I wake. For a second, nothing makes sense. My body is warm. Too warm. My mind feels hazy, like I was pulled out of something deep and heavy. I shift slightly, trying to figure out what woke me. A low groan sounds behind me. Strong arms tighten instinctively around my waist, pulling me closer. Panic explodes through me. My heart slams violently against my ribs and I suck in a sharp breath, already twisting, already preparing to fight— Wait. The voice comes from my wolf, calm and warm. You’re safe. I freeze. The scent hits me then. Familiar. Overwhelming. Wrapped around me so tightly it feels like a shield. Him. Memory crashes back in all at once. The bond. The pull. The kiss. The room. My mate. My breath shudders out slowly as my panic dissolves, replaced by something soft and glowing in my chest. “Oh,” I whisper. The arms around me relax slightly, his breathing evening out again. He’s still asleep. Only now do I really feel it—the sparks dancing under my skin, the steady warmth flowing through me from where we’re touching. My wolf hums contentedly. Mate. I smile despite myself. Carefully, slowly, I shift just enough to look at him without waking him. I study his face quietly. The curve of his nose. The sharp line of his jaw. The faint crease between his brows even while he sleeps. The bond tugs gently, like it wants me closer. Stay, my wolf murmurs. “I will,” I whisper back. “Just… a minute.” Something clicks suddenly. My mother. I stiffen slightly. “I need to tell her,” I murmur. Now? my wolf asks. “Yes,” I breathe. “She’s probably panicking.” I inhale slowly, then shift carefully, easing his arm from around me. He groans softly in protest, brows pulling together. “Don’t go,” he mutters sleepily. The sound of his voice sends a warm rush through me. “I’ll be right back,” I whisper. “I promise.” He doesn’t respond, already drifting again. I slip out of bed quietly and pull on my clothes, moving as fast as I can without making noise. My bag vibrates on the chair. I rush to it and pull out my phone. My chest tightens. So many missed calls. “Shit,” I whisper. Before I can call back, the phone vibrates again. Mom. I glance at the bed. He’s still asleep. “I’ll be quick,” I murmur, then hesitate. I look around for something to write on and spot a small notepad on the desk. I scribble quickly. I just went to my room to grab my things. I’ll be back. Room 214. I hesitate, then underline the room number before placing the note gently on the nightstand beside him. “I’ll be right back,” I whisper again, even though he can’t hear me. I slip out of the room and close the door softly behind me. The hallway is quiet. Too quiet. My wolf stiffens. Move fast. “I am,” I whisper. I hurry down the stairs and across the courtyard to the other side of the motel. My room. I unlock the door and step inside, immediately locking it behind me. My phone vibrates again. I answer without hesitation. “Mom.” “Bianca!” she snaps instantly. “Do you have any idea how worried I’ve been?” “I’m sorry,” I blurt out. “I’m okay. I swear.” “Okay?” she repeats sharply. “You disappeared! You didn’t answer any calls—” “I know,” I interrupt softly. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” There’s a pause, then her voice softens. “Are you safe?” “Yes,” I say firmly. “I am. I promise.” My wolf purrs. Very safe. “I met him,” I say quietly. Silence. “…You met who?” “My mate.” Her breath catches audibly. “Oh,” she whispers. “Bianca…” “He’s an Alpha,” I add. “I can smell it. Strong. He might be able to help.” She exhales shakily. “That’s… that’s incredible.” “I know,” I whisper. “I wasn’t expecting it. It just—happened.” “Are you with him now?” “I will be,” I say. “I just came to grab my things.” “Bianca,” she says carefully, “you need to be cautious.” “I know,” I reply. “But I trust him. I feel it. The bond—it’s strong.” She hesitates, then sighs. “I’m so relieved you’re not alone anymore.” “I won’t forget about you or Emily,” I promise quickly. “I’ll find a way to get to you. I swear.” “I know you will,” she says softly. “Just… be careful.” “I will.” “I love you.” “I love you too.” We hang up and I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. “Okay,” I whisper. “Let’s go.” I gather my things quickly, shoving them into my bag, moving faster now. My wolf is suddenly restless again. We should hurry. “I know.” I sling the bag over my shoulder and head out, locking the door behind me. I stop by reception, slide the key card across the counter. “I’m checking out,” I say. The woman smiles. “Already?” “Yes.” She nods. “Have a good day.” “You too.” I turn and head back toward his side of the motel. I’m about halfway there when my wolf freezes. Stop. I do. The scent hits me a second later. Familiar. Wrong. My blood turns cold. “Oh no,” I whisper. They found you. My heart starts racing. “No,” I breathe. “No, no, no.” I turn slowly— And see him. My brother’s gamma. Our eyes meet. Recognition flashes across his face. “There you are!” he yells. My stomach drops. I spin and run. Run! my wolf screams. I push myself harder, legs burning, lungs screaming. His room is just ahead. You won’t make it, my wolf warns desperately. “I have to,” I pant. Footsteps thunder behind me. “Get her!” someone shouts. I reach the corner— And suddenly arms wrap around me from behind. I scream and twist, clawing, fighting. “Let go of me!” I snarl. He spins me violently to face him. “You should’ve stayed put,” he growls. I strike out, landing a hit to his chest. He barely flinches. A sharp blow crashes into my jaw. Pain explodes. My head snaps to the side. My vision blurs. I hear my wolf roar.... Then everything goes dark.Bianca's Point of View I wake to the sound of Ethan babbling through the baby monitor and smile sleepily as I sit up in bed. "Well, I guess that's my cue to start the day." I murmur to myself before slipping out of bed and making my way to the bathroom. I quickly begin my morning routine and after getting dressed, I walk across the hallway and quietly push open Ethan's nursery door. The moment he sees me, his entire face lights up. He throws both little hands into the air and lets out an excited squeal and I laugh. "There he is! My happy little boy." I lift him out of his cot and kiss his forehead. "Did you sleep well?" I ask. He answers with another happy babble before grabbing a handful of my hair, and yanking it. "Ouch. I'll take that as a yes." I laugh, untangling my hair from his grip. A few minutes later, after changing his diaper and getting him dressed, I carry him into the kitchen. Scott is already there. He has a mug of coffee in one hand and is reading over
Scott's Point of ViewDinner with the pack ends later than I expect.Between Marcus telling another ridiculous story from training, Emma teasing me about Ethan's little surprise this morning, and Aiden insisting that he should be promoted to "Junior Alpha," there is barely a quiet moment the entire evening.By the time Bianca, Ethan and I finally make our way back to the apartment, the little guy is rubbing his eyes."Someone is tired."Bianca says softly, smiling down at him.Ethan answers with a tiny yawn before resting his head against her shoulder.I chuckle."I think bath time and bed sound like a good idea."I say and she nods her head."They do."She agrees. The moment we step inside the apartment, Bianca disappears down the hallway with Ethan."I'll get him cleaned up."She calls over her shoulder."I'll be there in a minute."I answer.I tidy up the few things we brought home before making my way toward Ethan's nursery. The bathroom door is open.I stop in the doorway without
Bianca's Point of ViewFor a few minutes after Emma leaves the library, I stay exactly where I am.I glance down at Ethan, who is happily chewing on his little fox teether while kicking his legs."Well..."I murmur."What do you think?"He looks up at me with a huge smile before letting out an excited squeal.I can't help smiling back."You want to go see Daddy?"Another squeal.I laugh softly."I'll take that as a yes."I carefully lift him into my arms before gathering his diaper bag and the blanket lying beside us.As I make my way through the packhouse, I can't help feeling nervous.I don't know why.I'm just going to watch Scott teach the children. It's not like I'm interrupting a meeting or anything important.Still...My stomach flutters the closer I get to the training grounds.Soon, I hear it.Laughter.Children shouting.Someone blowing a whistle. The sounds drift across the open field, and before I even step through the gate, I can already hear Scott's voice."Again!"He ca
Bianca's Point of ViewThe Luna library has quickly become one of my favorite places in the packhouse. It is always quiet.Peaceful.The large windows let the afternoon sunlight stream inside, warming the wooden floors, while shelves lined with books surround the room. There are comfortable couches tucked into the corners, but today Ethan and I have claimed the soft rug in front of the fireplace.Ethan is lying on his stomach, happily kicking his little legs while chewing on one of his woodland-themed teething toys.I smile as he lets out another happy squeal."You really like that one, don't you?"I ask softly. He looks up at me with his bright blue eyes before smiling around the toy.My heart melts."You are just the sweetest little boy."I murmur, brushing a hand over his soft hair."You know that?"He babbles something that sounds incredibly important before reaching both hands toward me.I laugh quietly."Oh? Really?"He grins even wider."I'll take that as a yes."I lean forward
Scott's Point of ViewThe morning sun is already climbing above the trees by the time Mark finally calls an end to training.I pull the towel from around my neck and wipe the sweat from my face before draping it back over my shoulders. All around us, warriors begin collecting their water bottles and chatting as they head off the field.Istretch my arms above my head before letting out a long breath."That felt good."I say with a satisfied smile and Sienna nods her head."It did. I needed it."She says. I glance over at her and chuckle.“Yeah... I could tell...”I say teasingly and she narrow her eyes at me.“Are you saying that I looked stressed?”She asks and I shrug. “I’m saying you looked like you wanted to punch something… and luckily, I was there.”I say and she laughs, nudging me lightly with her shoulder."Fair enough... I probably did."She admits."It has just been one of those weeks."I nod in understanding."I get that."For a few moments we walk in comfortable silence to
Scott's Point of ViewBy the time I make it to the training grounds, my hair is still damp from my second shower of the morning.I shake my head to myself.Only Ethan could manage to cover almost my entire shirt in vomit five minutes before I had to leave.I spot Sienna already stretching near the track. The moment she notices me, she smiles."Morning."I jog over to her."Morning."I let out a breath, rubbing the back of my neck."Sorry I'm late."She waves it off."It's fine."She studies me for a second."Late start?"I can't help but laugh."Sort of."I shake my head."I was basically out the door before Ethan threw up all over me."She immediately laughs."Oh..."She grins."The joys of parenthood."I chuckle."Yeah.""I wasn't expecting my morning shower to happen twice."She laughs again before nodding toward the track."Want to jog with me for warm-up or are you good?"I smile."No.""I'll come with you."We start jogging side by side around the track. For a while, neither of

Bianca’s Point of ViewEthan giggles as I lift him up, his tiny hands grabbing at my hair while we wander through the garden paths.“Hey, hey, gentle. You are going to make Mommy bald before she turns thirty.”I laugh softly, adjusting him on my hip. He just babbles happily, completely unbothered,
Scott’s Point of View I flip through the papers in my hand, but I’m not actually reading any of it. My eyes skim over the words, but nothing sticks. All I can see, all I can hear, is her voice. Aiden is Asher’s son. I exhale slowly, rubbing a hand over my jaw as I stare out the window. “This
