And in that exact moment, before the rhino's leg could touch his skin, Moon crushed his necklace, shouting in his mind.

"Mom, save me!"

For an instant, time stopped. Everything paused mid-action, even the rhino's leg was suspended midair, spells hung in the sky, but Moon's breathing remained as usual.

He crawled away under the rhino's feet and stood up. Even though his legs trembled against the ground, he didn't stop. He ran, ran in the middle of the beast hoard, ran past the gruesome battlefield to the deep forest people like him feared the most. He didn't look back again.

But as if God were not on his side, just when he passed the last beast and thought he was saved for now, time resumed on its track. A musky, damp air flew by his torn skin. And the beasts roared, casting spells—all starting at once. The last few beasts, which were going to the city wall, suddenly turned back. Like sniffing dogs, they smelled Moon's scent in the air and chased him all at once.

Moon didn't have time to lament his bad luck as he flashed past the dense forest, ignoring all the cuts and scrapes he got. He didn't have time to navigate the route either. He just ran for his life and ran into a forbidden region no mages had ever stepped into.

In the dense miasma, Moon ran blindly and suddenly fell forward.

With a splash, he fell straight into the lake. He sank deeper and deeper.

"It's okay, I can swim," Moon comforted himself.

But he knew all too well that his ability wasn't working in this lake water.

The more he tried to swim, the deeper he sank.

It felt like an eternity had passed just swimming, gradually his limbs went limp, his lungs were burning, and his chest tightened like an iron shackle binding him.

In the deep water, he tried to look at the sky for the last time. A bright full moon hung in there, like a luminous pearl; it was so bright. Moon had a hallucination; he was not inside a lake but in a valley, bathing in moonlight.

And then he saw it.

A smile, a gentle, warm smile like his mother's.

A smile on the moon's surface.

He seemed to see its parting lips, some words? Or maybe it was saying something to him.

Before he could think more, he was sucked in by a vortex of emerald green water.

---

Moon thought he was going to die, at least he was sure he drank a hell of a lot of water and was choking on his breath in the vortex, but then suddenly he was fished out of the water by a clawed hand.

He gasped for air and coughed violently as he looked around, only to find a completely new place.

He was still in water, but not in the forbidden zone, not in the lake; instead, a clean, clear, emerald-green pool was shining in the full moonlight.

Five men – no!

Five half-humans with wolf ears and fluffy tails were surrounding him from all sides. Measuring his every inch with judging eyes. Their bare chests and big statures gave him an ominous feeling, a dread, a fear, and an unknown longing he could not fathom.

Moon's throat felt dry, his body unknowingly stuck closer to them. Their calloused, rough hands tightened around his waist so hard it dug deep in his skin. Moon let out a pained moan.

"Ah."

And then a melodious female voice rang in his ear.

["Ah! My eyes! Child, I heard your call. You wanted a second chance at life.

I, the Moon Goddess, granted your wish in the name of the promise that I gave to your mother. Help these five cursed alphas fully awaken their wolf bloodline. You will get eternal life and power in return. May your bond last till the afterlife."]

The bright full moon flashed golden light for a second before all became still and silent; only the ragged, rough breaths of five wolf men remained in Moon Astra's life.

"Heh!" A man sneered in his left ear. "Never seen a cock that big? You slut."

Hearing such an insult, Moon's body froze on the spot.

He was unconsciously staring at their lower abdomens, but he really wasn't trying to see their big dicks; well, he might be a little, but he absolutely was not focused on that.

Before Moon could react, hot lips sealed his mouth, the man sucked on him like a starving beast, taking every drop of his saliva. A low growl escaped the man's throat.

Moon suddenly felt a pang of pain, a fear, and an agony in his heart that didn't belong to him.

He tried to push the man kissing him as his life depended on it, but his hand was grabbed and pushed around his back, trapping him in another man's arms. Moon's breath hitched at the roughness. He groaned in pain.

He didn't want it; he didn't want this kind of treatment or life. He cried out, but his cry was swallowed by the man's sucking.

Tears dropped on his cheeks as his muffled cry escaped from the corner of his lips, and a faint spiritual energy rippled through the water around Moon. His core spun inside him, a burst of energy swept past all of them.

The man paused, tilted his face in the moonlight, then froze. As if suddenly coming back to his senses, he frowned when pinching Moon's chin.

"Why are you crying?" a hoarse but gentle voice asked from behind.

Moon couldn't utter a word, only sniffed and cried in frustration.

"Shut up! Wasn't it you who came to seduce us? Taking advantage when we are at our lowest, still pretending to be victims?"

The man slammed his fist on the water.

Moon jolted on his roar. He looked around and watched them with fear.

Kissing him was a red-haired man with a red furry tail, Leo.

Moon saw the name on the man's bosom flash by.

His neck-length red hair was tied in a little ponytail; red eyes stared at Moon like a predator's. His claws were still gripping his thigh threateningly.

On his back, holding him like a child, was a man with dark hair. His gentle, emerald-green eyes were hazy and confused.

Ugo—that was the name flashed on his big hand resting on Moon's waist. His fluffy tail and ears were tinged with a green hue.

On his left was Nox, who had short brown and black hair with a brown-black fluffy tail. His amber eyes held a mischievous glint.

Axe was on his right side, with his slicked-back silver hair, tail, and grey eyes.

He looked like a metal shield. His passionate gaze was almost peeling Moon's clothes right there. In fact, his hand was already peeling his robe.

Far from this mass, leaning on the edge of the pool was Rio, his neat, parted snow-white hair and blue eyes gave an illusion of a detached God, but now his hand was jerking under water, unlike any God.

Moon's gaze rounded up on the red-eyed Leo again, his skin crawled at the thought of this man's word.

'A slut.' That was what he said.

He tried to free his thigh from Leo's grip, but instead Leo's grip tightened. His Adam's apple bobbed up and down as his focus gradually became confused, as if he forgot what he was saying. He leaned in and kissed Moon's lips.

'Something is wrong with these men.' Moon's heart was beating faster.

'Something is definitely wrong.'

Moon couldn't think more as he was again pulled into a deep, feral kiss in Leo's arms. Axe tore his robe with a few swift tugs as Nox sucked on his fingers.

Moon's body trembled between them, his legs wrapped around Leo's waist as his back leaned on Ugo's broad chest. Ugo's hot breath and soft kiss landed on his neck.

Even the detached God, Rio, was staring in his direction, his hand was moving faster and faster.

'What the hell!' Moon himself felt a strange longing to meet these men's lust. His blood was crawling inside his veins. He wanted more, wanted something he didn't know; his inside felt empty, hot, and scratchy.

'Oh, Goddess! What have you done?' Moon cried in his mind. He didn't expect any answers, but to his surprise, he heard the same gentle voice he had heard before.

["This is the bond I gave you, Moon; they are yours to take. Don't resist. Guide them, you can do it. This is your chance."]

Moon's breath hitched as he felt a callused finger tracing his tailbone to the end.

He grabbed the red hair looming over him, and the man's mouth was unstoppably tracing around his chest.

"No! That's not the point. The point is, why are you watching us? Shit!"

Moon shouted in his mind. His body turned red from shame.

"Focus."

Axe shoved his finger inside, impatiently. His deep voice warned Moon as he nibbled on his earlobe.

The sheer number of punishment instruments hanging on the grated wall made his body shiver. The guards' eyes followed his every reaction as they hung him on the black wooden gallows, clamping him down with silver ring cuffs. They pierced his wrists with two silver needles. After finishing their work, their eyes lingered on his chest for a few seconds before they snapped out of their daze and left him behind.Moon stayed silent all along. His mind was racing as he spoke with the Moon Goddess inside his head.“What to do now, Goddess? You just have to save my life, only to throw me into a wolf den?” he cried out.[Sigh! My child, you look good in that dress.]Moon’s neck felt hot; he swallowed his curse before flaring up, “Is this the main point of me calling you? And what kind of Alphas did you give me? Cowards and disloyal scoundrels?”Moon gritted his teeth and continued, “Utterly disappointing. Look at them—they are all freaking scoundrels.”[Cough! Cough! Ah, don’t be mad; even bad

The grand hall froze at the mention of a witch.Soon, murmurs followed, voices rising from whispers to shouts.Moon clenched his fingers, mastered his courage, and retorted loudly, “I am not a witch.”He didn’t look at the brothers again. He knew from the situation that they would not help him.The Luna sneered at him, walking step by step before stopping in front of him. Her grand, beautiful body cast a shadow over Moon's crumpled stature. Her polished, manicured nail traced Moon’s pale forehead down to the delicate nose bridge. Her voice was slow but held the power to echo through every corner of the hall. “A wolfless human– how could she mate five raging wolves and still be kneeling here just fine? Unless she is a witch?”Her every word was sharp and piercing. She furrowed her brows with faked concern.“Or…”Her voice trailed off as her gaze lingered on the five defective wolves.“Or, maybe they are also defective there?” Silas finished the words for his mother.Suppressed laughter

“But they what?” the 2nd Heir rushed him.“But they had a mating session that resolved their heat, soothing their pain, stabilizing their forms, and enhancing their strength.” The physician shifted uneasily. The grand hall fell into a suffocating silence.A mate? They had a mate? How is this possible?Luna clenched her fist. She had almost driven them away, but everything was messed up now that they had a chance. Her grave voice shattered the silence. “That was a great event. Why didn’t you mention it before, Axe? We all want to see your mate. Who was she?”Axe gave the physician a stern look, then replied calmly, “It was just an accident, and we ended up in bed. There is no bond between us.”“So, your wolf didn’t awaken?” The Alpha's voice resounded.“No, My Lord.” Axe lowered his head. The people around scoffed at them. Some even voiced out their disdain, “What were we even expecting? A defect is still a defect; no miracle happens in real life.”“Where is she?” the Alpha asked. The

The ridiculous thing was, he bought a maid dress for him—a man!As it turned out, when the LUNAR brothers reached the hall, a collective gasp spread through the crowd.Everyone knew they were stuck in a half-wolf state before, and usually, a werewolf who can’t shift properly or is stuck in between was called a defective werewolf. • The Mage's 5 Fated Alphas (BL)   Claimed a human?

"Ah. Wait, hear me out," Moon managed to voice out at last. "Can't," Leo simply brushed off his request. His aching length was already pressing on Moon. Moon could hear the pain and agony in his voice. He didn't know what had gotten into him, but looking at the man's feverish eyes, contorted face, and the way he bit his own lips hard enough to bleed, Moon relented. In that spur of the moment, a single decision led his life to an unchangeable destination.Leo claimed him entirely. His knot sent a wave of pleasure into Moon with an unmistakable power he had tried to gather for eighteen years without any success. Moon widened his eyes in shock. Surprise was the weakest word to describe his feelings. He looked at the bright Moon and hugged Leo's neck.Their union made his long-dormant magic core wake up and greedily absorb everything. His neck throbbed with something unknown. He was not a wolf; he shouldn't have a scent gland that could be marked, yet Leo's canine reached a spot that
