MasukNora 's POV
“No,” I said, wiping at my tears with trembling fingers. “No… this is insane.” An hysterical laugh burst out of me, tears rolling down my cheeks as I shook my head. “This is a prank, right?” I looked from Dennis to Nadia, desperately searching their faces. I swallowed hard, my chest rising painfully. “Tell me this is some sick joke!” I screamed. “Both of you…say something! Tell me you’re lying!” Dennis let out a slow breath, like he was exhausted by my reaction, then he looked at me with cold finality. “You need to accept reality, Nora .” The laughter died in my throat as his jaw tightened. “The truth is, I was always too good for this marriage.” My heart dropped as he pulled Nadia closer. “Nadia is the kind of woman fit to carry my heir and stand beside me while I build my empire. She’s everything an Adams woman should be.” His eyes dragged over me with open contempt. “You were never that woman.” My knees buckled beneath me as I tried to push myself up from the floor, but my body felt heavy and painfully unsteady. My hand slipped against the polished marble as I struggled. Nadia threw her head back first, laughing openly. “Just look at her, so fat that she can't lift herself off the floor” I forced myself up, breathing hard, my whole body trembling. Then I looked Dennis dead in the eye. “Let me get this straight,” I said, my voice shaking. “After everything I’ve done for you… after five years of toiling and sacrificing for this family… you can stand there, look me in the eye, and betray me like this?” Dennis’s expression darkened instantly. “What exactly did you do for me, Nora ?” he asked coldly. I stared at him in disbelief.. “If anything,” he continued cruelly, “you made my life worse.” My mouth fell open. “Dennis , you’re a billionaire today because of me,” I shot back, my voice rising. “My ideas are the reason Adams Tech is…” “Please,” he cut in sharply, holding up a hand. “Shut that big mouth of yours and stop making noise.” His eyes narrowed with disgust. “Let it be known that I had millions of women lined up for me,” he said arrogantly. “I chose to pity you because you were pathetic, needy, and desperate for a husband.” Then his gaze dragged over me slowly, viciously.. “Now look at you,” he said with a bitter laugh. “An old bitch living off my name and money” Dennis let out a harsh breath, dragging a hand down his face like he had finally run out of patience. “You know what?” he said coldly. “I don’t have the energy to keep trading words with you.” He turned away from me, walked to his dresser, and pulled open the top drawer. Then he brought out a file and flung it at me. The papers scattered at my feet. “Start packing your things,” he said flatly. “I don’t want you in this house anymore. Nadia is moving her things tomorrow.” My heart stopped. No…No. This couldn’t be happening. “Those are divorce papers,” he said. “Already signed from the first day I married you. My lawyer will contact you soon. Sign them and leave quietly.” “You lie!” I screamed, my voice echoing through the room. Both of them looked at me, they looked shocked. “I’m not leaving my matrimonial home!” I shouted, tears pouring uncontrollably down my face. “And I’m not signing any stupid divorce papers!” I pointed at him with trembling fingers.. “You stood before God and swore for better or worse, Dennis . You made vows to me, and you’re going to stick to them!” My chest rose sharply. “I’m Nora Adams ,” I said, voice cracking but fierce. “And nothing is going to change that. Do you hear me? Nothing!” Dennis slowly turned toward me, his jaw clenched so hard the muscle ticked. “Are you daring me?” he asked. Something inside me snapped.. I stepped forward and jabbed my finger hard into his chest. “Yes,” I spat through my tears. “I’m daring you, Dennis . Do your worst!” My whole body shook violently.. “I’m not leaving!” I screamed. “What exactly do you take me for? Trash?” My finger pressed harder against his chest. “You think you can use me for five years and then throw me away like I meant nothing?” My voice cracked on the last word. Fresh tears streamed down my face.. “I’m almost forty, Dennis ,” I choked out, my chest heaving painfully. “Do you even understand what it means for a woman to start all over again?” My lips trembled uncontrollably. “My only crime is being fat,” I whispered brokenly. “And I’m willing to change for you.” I grabbed his arm desperately.. “I’m willing to do anything,” I begged. “Anything… just for you to love me again, please Vicent, don't ruin this marriage…I love you Dennis please, don't do this to me please” Immediately, Nadia let out a sharp scream “Ahh…my stomach!” Her hand flew to her belly as her face twisted in sudden panic. “Dennis …” she whimpered weakly. “I think something is wrong with the baby…” Everything changed in an instant as Dennis shoved me aside so fast I nearly lost my footing. “Baby!” he panicked, rushing to her side so carelessly he almost slipped headfirst on the tiled floor. His arms were around her immediately, his face pale with fear. “What’s wrong? Talk to me. Do you want me to take you to the hospital right now?” Nadia leaned weakly against his chest, breathing heavily like she was in pain. “No…” she said softly, her voice trembling “I think I just need a hot water massage. My body feels sore…” Then her eyes lifted to mine and a cruel smile flickered briefly across her lips before disappearing. “I want Nora to do it.” Dennis ’s head snapped toward me. Nadia held her stomach protectively and let fresh tears gather in her eyes. “If she refuses,” she whispered, voice shaking dramatically, “I’ll leave this house tonight… and you’ll never see your child again.”Genevieve's POV Dr. Whitmore reached across the desk and gently placed her hand over mine."Genevieve, please listen to me. The surgery will significantly improve your chances. I know you're exhausted, and I know you've been through more procedures than anyone should ever have to endure, but this isn't the time to give up."I slowly shook my head."It isn't that simple, Doctor. Surgery changes everything. It means putting my life on hold again, spending months recovering, and even then there's no guarantee that I'll ever be able to have a child.""There are no guarantees in medicine," she replied softly. "But refusing treatment only makes things more dangerous."I smiled sadly."Exactly. There are no guarantees. The surgery doesn't guarantee that I'll become a mother, and it doesn't even guarantee that I'll survive the operation. If nothing is certain, then shouldn't I be allowed to choose how I want to live the time I have?"She stared at me, unable to answer immediately. After a lo
Genevieve's POV I leaned over the bed and pressed a gentle kiss against Norman's cheek. He stirred almost immediately, a sleepy smile tugging at the corners of his lips before he reached for me instinctively."Mmm... five more minutes," he murmured, his voice husky with sleep.A laugh escaped my lips."You said the same thing ten minutes ago."He cracked one eye open and looked at me with mock annoyance before wrapping an arm around my waist."Come back to bed.”"I have work, remember?""So do I."His smile became teasing."But my work can wait if it means keeping my beautiful wife hostage for another five minutes."I shook my head, carefully lifting his arm away from my waist."Nice try, Mr. Adams."He sighed dramatically and buried his face deeper into the pillow."I swear one day I'm going to convince you that mornings are made for cuddling and sweet sex”“We had sex all through the night Norman, don't you get tired” "Not when I have a sexy wife” I laughed again before bending d
Nadia's POV The moment I stepped into the house, I didn't even bother taking off my heels.Dennis was sitting alone in the living room, staring blankly at the television screen that was still replaying footage of the incident outside the restaurant. He looked exhausted."Can you see how foolish you are?”He immediately looked up."Baby, please, I can explain."I laughed bitterly."Oh, please don't 'baby' me, and kindly keep your ridiculous explanations to yourself."I tossed my handbag onto the nearest chair."Can you see what you've caused?”He opened his mouth, but I didn't give him the chance to interrupt."Just when I thought I was finally going to enjoy my girls' trip to Milan this summer, you decided to ruin everything with your stupidity."I pointed angrily toward the television."Now the whole of New York is talking about you.”He rubbed both hands over his face."I don't know how Nora suddenly became so bold. Can you believe she actually slapped me?"I stared at him in disbe
Nadia's POV I leaned comfortably against the headboard trying to catch my breath, after four rounds of wild sex.Jason was a beast in bed, the major reason I refused to let him go.Jason is twenty-seven years old and one of New York's fastest-rising photographers.Tall, ridiculously handsome and effortlessly charming, he had the kind of smile that made women forget why they'd come into his studio in the first place.Ironically, I had met him the exact same way.Almost a year ago, I had booked a private luxury photoshoot for one of the fashion campaigns I was endorsing. Everyone in the industry had been talking about the mysterious young photographer whose work could make anyone look like the cover of a magazine.Curiosity had brought me to his studio but Desire had kept me coming back.Jason knew exactly what to say, exactly how to make a woman feel beautiful, desired and important. Unlike Dennis, who was old school and very boring, Jason made me feel like I was the only woman in
Genevieve's POV The call ended before I could ask another question.I slowly lowered the phone and looked at Norman."Can you turn on the TV?"Without wasting another second, he picked up the remote from the coffee table and switched on the television. The screen immediately showed a large headline.BUSINESS TYCOON DENNIS ADAMS ACCUSED OF HARASSING EX-WIFE OUTSIDE MANHATTAN RESTAURANT.Immediately followed by the face of a female news anchor sitting behind the studio desk."Good evening. We interrupt our scheduled programming with breaking news involving Adams Group CEO Dennis Adams, whose troubles appear to be going from bad to worse."The television switched to footage taken outside the restaurant. The camera clearly showed Dennis grabbing my wrist just as I attempted to walk away..A second later…Smack! The sound of my slap echoed through the living room. The footage froze on Dennis's stunned expression before returning to the newsroom. The reporter continued calmly."This video,
Genevieve's POV The moment I stepped into the house, I slammed the front door so hard that the sound echoed through the entire living room. My handbag flew from my shoulder and landed on the couch as I began pacing furiously across the marble floor."I cannot believe that arrogant idiot!" I shouted, running both hands through my hair. "The audacity!”Norman rushed out of the study immediately, his brows drawn together in concern. He took one look at my face and instantly knew something was wrong."Whoa, baby, calm down," he said gently, hurrying toward me. He placed both hands on my shoulders and stopped my pacing. "Take a deep breath for me."I tried to pull away, but he held me firmly. "I'm serious. In... and out."I reluctantly followed his lead, inhaling deeply and then exhaling slowly. He made me repeat it twice more until my heartbeat finally began to settle."Good," he murmured. "Now tell me what happened."I threw my hands into the air in frustration. "I'm so angry right
Nora 's POV Dennis didn’t even wait for me to process what was happening.“You heard her,” he said flatly, his voice leaving no room for argument. “Go do it.”I stood there frozen, staring at him, waiting for even a flicker of hesitation, but there was nothing.Nadia leaned into him dramatically,

Nora 's POV For a second, I just stared at him, then I laughed not because it was funny, but because it had to be a lie.“Stop playing,” I said sharply. “There is no way you’re a CEO of Monarch Technology”His brow lifted.“That company is worth trillions,” I continued, my voice rising slightly. “
