Damian's POV

“Put them on the desk.”I told Rowan immediately he entered with files in hand.

“These are the reports from the human branch managers and also there are reports of the financial review from the last quarter of the year.” He said as he placed them on my desk.

Then he remained rooted, giving me the cautious look he did give, anytime he sensed that I was on the verge of losing it.

“Anything else?” I said rubbing the bride of my nose.

He paused but later spoke. “There is also a meeting request from the Board of directors that they want an update on the new security system.”

“Later.” I said.

“Not now.”

My head was banging and it was probably because I had been sitting in the same spot since morning, going through the same routines of reading, signing and rejecting proposals but I still didn't stop working. Babel Tech Company was huge. It's funny how people thought it was just a normal tech company. They didn't have a glimpse of the truth of how werewolves were running the high-level operations.

Keeping our world hidden wasn't an easy task, especially with the ever meddling human government.

Rowan cleared his throat.  “You haven’t eaten anything.”

“I will eat later.” I said reaching for the next document.

But before I could open the document, the door to my office opened wide, I looked up and saw Henry, he walked inside with a smirk on his face and I sighed.

“There you are.” He said with a smile then walked inside like he owned the place.

“I have been waiting downstairs for ten minutes and I knew you my friend would be buried under work again.”

“Because someone has to do it.” I replied.

He rolled his eyes. “Your whole life is work, you are going to grow old in that chair.”

“I am fine.”

Henry stared at me like I had said something stupid. “No, you are not and I am not letting you spend another night in this office.”

I ignored him and signed another page. “I have deadlines.”

“You have me.” He said, then he pulled the files away from my hands.

“Put that down.” I reached for the file but he moved it behind him.

“No you are coming with me.”

“I am not going anywhere.” I retorted.

Rowan then came  forward. “Alpha, Sir Henry is right, some rest will help.” He said and I glared at him.

He stepped back immediately which resulted in Henry clapping his hands.“Even your Beta agrees with me so this is settled we are going.”

I groaned. “Where?”

“A club.” He said.

“No.”

“Yes.”

“No.”

He folded his arms. “I am not asking, in fact I am just informing you.”

I exhaled slowly. “Henry-”

“You need to breathe, you need to see other people and women live something.”

I knew what he meant he wanted me to forget my scars he was trying.

“Fine, two hours and that's it.”

The loud music was the first thing that infuriated me the moment we entered the club. I didn't like loud places, there were always so many scents, too many eyes trying to pry.I stayed behind Henry as he weaved through the crowd, soon he dragged me to the VIP section.

“Sit, drink and relax Damian.” He said.

“I am here, that is enough.”

A woman then approached us with a smile and she looked at me first.

“Can I get you anything?” She asked.

“No, thank you.” I answered.

The woman walked away. Henry looked at me for a long time. He did not push further; he knew the limits.

It didn't  take long when we heard Rowan's voice loud through the music that was blazing. He rushed towards us breathing heavily.

“Alpha, we have a problem!”

Henry stood up immediately. “What happened?”

Rowan looked at me. “Rogues, a large number of them, attacked Shadow Fang territory.” He said and everything inside me went still.

“When?” I asked.

“Thirty minutes ago.” Rowan answered, Henry was already grabbing his jacket.

“Let us go.”

I stood up I was calm on the outside but I was already burning on the inside. “How many were injured?"

“A lot but we don’t know the exact number yet.”

The pack grounds were chaotic and immediately I stepped down from the car. Bodies were all over the ground, blood stained the floor, some were limping, some were in their wolf form but broken.

My chest tightened at the sight Henry stepped out beside me. “Damn…”

I moved forward and my mind beat fastly These were my people, my responsibility. The elders were there already Elder Marcus was the first to stand up.

He stepped forward. “Alpha Damian.”

“Marcus.” I greeted.

“Look around you, this pack is not safe under your leadership.” He said and my stomach tightened.

“If you cannot protect your people, maybe you should not lead them.”

“Step down from your position as the Alpha, Damian.” Marcus said. Rowan stiffened, and Henry gave a warning growl.

  • The Reborn Luna   The Door That Shouldn’t Have Opened

Maddison’s POVI didn’t think twice i just ran.The alarm was still blaring through the penthouse, red lights flickering across the walls like something alive. My heart pounded so loudly I could barely hear my own breathing.“Liam!”My voice broke as I reached the corridor.Damian was right behind me, faster, closer—but I didn’t stop. Nothing else mattered except that door. The bedroom door.I pushed it open so hard it slammed against the wall. For a second, everything froze.Liam was still on the bed.Asleep.Unharmed.But someone was standing near the window.A woman.Emma.My body went cold instantly.“What are you doing here?” I whispered. She turned slowly, like she had all the time in the world. No panic. No fear. Just irritation.Like I was the interruption.“You really should lock your doors better,” she said calmly.Behind me, Damian stepped in. The temperature in the room shifted immediately. His presence filled the space—sharp, heavy.Emma noticed him and smiled faintly.“O

  • The Reborn Luna   The Lock That Broke First

Maddison’s POVThe silence after Elias disappeared didn’t feel like peace. It felt like pressure building inside a sealed room.Damian didn’t speak much after that night. He just moved around and people moved with him.By morning, the penthouse had changed. Security at every exit. Guards I didn’t recognize stationed quietly in different corners. Even the air felt different, like the building itself was holding its breath.Liam was still asleep when I came out of the room.I didn’t want him seeing any of it—none of the tension, none of the guards, none of the way I kept checking every shadow like something might jump out again.Damian was in the living room when I saw him.He was standing near the glass wall, phone in hand, speaking low. Rowan stood beside him, expression tight.I paused before approaching.I could only catch fragments.“…no trace…”“…trained extraction…”“…inside help confirmed…”That last part made my chest tighten.Inside help. That meant someone from Crescent Pack.

  • The Reborn Luna   The Voice in the Dark

Maddison’s POVMy body refused to move. The hallway felt longer than it should have, like the walls had stretched just to trap me inside it.Liam was asleep in the bedroom. Damian wasn’t in sight. And someone was standing in my home.My fingers tightened around the counter behind me, trying to ground myself.“Who’s there?” My voice came out smaller than I wanted.A slow step. Then another. The shadow shifted forward just enough for the city light to catch his face.My stomach dropped. Not because I didn’t recognize him. But because I did.“Elias…” I whispered. He didn’t smile. Didn’t look relieved. Just tired.Older than I remembered. But still the same eyes—sharp, observant. The pack tracker from Crescent Pack. One of Fernando’s most trusted men.“What are you doing here?” I asked quickly. My heart was already racing. Because if he was here… something was very wrong.Elias glanced toward the bedroom door. Then back at me.“I came to warn you.”My stomach twisted.“Warn me about what?

  • The Reborn Luna   A Mother’s Fear

Maddison’s POV I couldn’t sleep that night because every time I closed my eyes, I saw the same thing. The accountant’s name. My name. And the feeling that something I didn’t understand was slowly wrapping itself around my life. Liam was asleep beside me again, but this time I couldn’t relax enough to lie down properly. I just sat there, watching him sleep trying to convince myself he was safe. Trying to convince myself I was safe too. But neither felt fully true anymore. A soft knock came at the door just after dawn. I tensed immediately. It was Damian. He always knocked like he already knew I was awake. “Come in,” I said quietly. The door opened and he stepped inside, dressed in dark clothes, his expression unreadable as always. But his eyes went straight to Liam first. Then to me. Something in his face tightened slightly. “You didn’t sleep,” he said. I gave a small shrug. “I couldn’t.” He didn’t push. That was something I was still getting used to—people not for

  • The Reborn Luna   The Man Who Knew Too Much

Maddison’s POVThe next morning felt strange because for the first time in weeks, I woke up without feeling panicked.Liam was asleep beside me, curled against my side like he used to when he was younger. One of his hand was wrapped around my shirt, as if he was afraid I would disappear again. My heart ached.I carefully, I brushed his hair away from his forehead. He looked peaceful.Safe.For a long time, all I wanted was to have him back and now that he was here, I couldn’t stop looking at him. I couldn’t stop checking to make sure he was real.A small knock came from the bedroom door.I looked up.Katie peeked inside.“Morning.”I smiled softly.“Morning.”Her eyes immediately landed on Liam.“Aww.”I laughed quietly.“Don’t wake him.”“No promises.”I rolled my eyes.Katie stepped into the room carrying a tray of food. The smell of breakfast followed her.My stomach growled immediately.I felt embarrassed.Katie smirked.“See? You’re finally eating like a normal person.”“I hate y

  • The Reborn Luna   Ashes Don’t Stay Buried

Damian’s POVThe hall erupted into chaos.Warriors ran toward the exits. Voices overlapped. Questions flew from every direction.“The southern warehouse?”“How bad is it?”“Was anyone inside?”For the first time that night, the investigation was no longer the center of attention. The fire was.Fernando moved immediately. His entire posture changed, and the calm mask he’d been wearing cracked just enough for me to notice.Panic.Not much. Just a flash. But it was there and I didn’t miss it.Neither did Rowan. He stepped closer to me as Fernando barked orders at his warriors.“Did you see that?” Rowan muttered.“Yeah.”His jaw tightened.“He looks scared.”I looked toward Fernando again.Scared wasn’t the word I’d use.Terrified was closer. The guard who brought the news looked shaken.“The fire spread fast, Alpha. We couldn’t stop it.”Fernando swore under his breath before storming toward the doors.Emma followed immediately.Too quickly.Like she already knew where he was going. My e

Maddison’s POVThe folder suddenly felt heavier than it looked.Every eye in the hall was fixed on it.Katie stood near the front now, her fingers wrapped tightly around the worn brown file. She looked nervous, but determined.Fernando was watching her closely.Too closely. The kind of look a preda

  • The Reborn Luna   The Line He Couldn’t Cross

Maddison’s POV The hall didn’t feel the same anymore. Something had changed. I could feel it in the silence. Not the silence of fear that usually followed Fernando. This was different. This was the silence of people thinking. Questioning. Watching. For years, Fernando had controlled every r
