Tori's POV

The shock kept me from saying anything, even as she opened her mouth to talk.

“Did you see that, Monica dear? She is trying to poison me! I don’t know what it is about her that she finds so special. I’ll make sure Adrian fires her. She is so rude!” Emily went on and on, justifying herself.

I was angry — my fingertips already cracking from the pressure I placed on my palms as I dug them in.

“That is not fair! Stop that!” Kylian yelled.

“You rotten child! Shut your stupid m

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    His mate

Tori's POV The kiss was sweet and ravenous, every inch of his mouth closing in on mine as though he could not get enough-could not feel me enough. I was stunned. The words I could feel forming on the top of my tongue instantly dissipated as I struggled to catch my breath, struggled to make whatever this was make sense to me. "What is going on here?" a voice thundered from the other end of the hallway. Out of reflex, I pushed Alpha Lancaster off me, my face coated in shame and anguish as my eyes fell on Alpha Damian. He stood there, eyes burning with anger and betrayal, his face contorted in a mix of hurt and surprise. "Am I interrupting something?" he said, his voice slowly breaking as he now turned his eyes toward Alpha Lancaster, who was smirking as though it was the best thing he had ever done. "Yes," Alpha Lancaster answered, and at that point, I finally found my voice. "No! Please, Damian, let me-" I was beginning to say, but he was already nodding his head, mut

Chapter 62 Tori's POV At first, I wanted to laugh it off, thinking it was some sort of joke. There was no way she was into women when she looked that beautiful. But her face was set in a firm line-whatever trace of a joke I thought she would have was nowhere to be found. "But you are on a date with Alpha Lancaster..." I said, as though to remind her of the main reason she was here. She scratched the back of her neck tiredly. "Well, I know. The thing is, my parents seem to think being gay is something that can be solved by a man, so they're trying to make us spend more time together. "But I don't even see him as a person, not to talk more of a potential husband material. I'm telling you this so you can be more comfortable around me and stop thinking he is cheating on you," she said. I sighed. "I don't feel that way about him," I said again, but she just waved me off. "If that is what you want to force yourself to believe, then so be it. I just want you to know tha

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    I'm not into men

Chapter 61 Tori's POV Of all the things that had happened on that plane ride and since the time we got to China, this was the worst. Just like my first business trip to France with Alpha Lancaster, I also had to share a room-this time with Alpha Damian. And even though I wanted to believe that things like this were mere coincidence, I couldn't bring myself to. "What do you mean there's a mix-up in the rooms?" Alpha Lancaster asked, even though his own room was already checked in and he held a key in his hand. "It's none of your business. You can be on your way, and we'll settle this between ourselves," Alpha Damian said, his voice holding a promise of war should Alpha Lancaster do otherwise. But, as always, Alpha Lancaster didn't notice this slight change in tone-or maybe he just wasn't bothered-and pressed further. "It's my business as long as she works for me. I will not let you take advantage of her like that," he said. "It was a simple booking mistake," Alpha Dam

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    Weird flight II

Chapter 60 Damian's POV I did not know what it was about her, but I knew I liked her. Not enough to foil my plan or ruin my chances of getting back at her, but it was enough to try to make sure she was not too hurt in the process. I had donned black shades and a hat as I sat at that bar, waiting for her to show up. Every minute that ticked made me feel like this was fruitless-that this was not going to work out. But with every doubt I held, I renewed my vigour with the anger of what Alpha Lancaster did to me: how he took what was mine away from me. "I never thought you would ask to see me," her voice finally came, making me sit straight and look at her. Of course. There she was. Alpha Lancaster's little bitch. "I heard you are trying to get back at him for picking his maid over you," I said smugly as she sat down. "You heard wrong. After you threatened me to stay away from him and not mess up your plan, I did a quick background search on you and I must say, I'm imp

Chapter 59 Tori's POV Things got pretty weird after that-from the glares that both alphas exchanged down to the awkward smile that Alpha Lancaster's date, exchanged with me. "Sure. Since we have both our dates here, maybe we can each take a compartment of the jet," Alpha Damian said. This was some sort of ruse, or a very bad plan to get me alone so we could have some space. But Alpha Lancaster was quicker. "Why would we do that? We all know each other, don't we? We can all share the same compartment," he said. "This is my private jet, and I will not allow myself to be uncomfortable in it," Alpha Damian said, his glare stronger now-a heated face-off going on between the both of them. "Well, don't flatter yourself. I have two private jets and you don't hear me bragging about it like a kid," Alpha Lancaster said. "Oh well, look who has two private jets and is coming to beg to be on mine?" Alpha Damian mocked. "Please! Both of you! There should not be arguments about

  • The Rejected Luna Strikes Back    Technical issues

Chapter 58 Tori's POV I had finally come to the conclusion that all alphas loved staying in extremely spacious houses, even though they were the only ones living in them. Alpha Damian's house was nothing short of impressive-from the blue and white home décor down to the velvety royal-blue cushions and tables. "Why stay somewhere so big alone?" I asked as I looked around in awe, my eyes catching sight of a pool just outside the glass windows. He shrugged. "I like having the option of sleeping wherever I like," he said. I could imagine just how scary it would be if I tried to consider such a living. "Are you hungry? I can make something quickly for the both of us," he suggested. I shook my head. "No, I'm fine. I had dinner before leaving the house," I said. He nodded, standing awkwardly for a while before finally grabbing the bag and heading up the stairs. "Your room is directly next to mine, so if you ever need anything, you can always holler out," he said.
