CHAPTER TWO

FINN

I killed another bug against my leg, tired of waiting for Oli to find me. It was already dark now; there was no way I could go back to the bakery.

“So much for him finding me” I grumbled under my breath, the silence of the forest unnerving me even further.

I trudged my way through the woods, anxious to get back to Oli; the thought of being alone in here was one I liked.

After walking for more than thirty minutes; I was still nowhere near the camp site Oli had set up.

“Maybe I missed a path” I mumbled to myself, retracing my steps back.

After what felt like another thirty minutes, I was still in the forest, standing in front a tree I was certain I had passed by a hundred times already.

It was safe to say I had managed to get lost. The slight cramp in my lower belly wasn’t helping matters at all.

“Oli!” I hollered out, walking straight ahead. The stupid need to win the game had landed me where I was.

Something rustled behind me; I startled, jumping back away from it. A bush rat scurried away under my watch, causing me to loosen up slightly.

“Oli, where are you?!” I hollered out again, resting against a tree in exhaustion. The cramping in my lower belly had gotten so bad, it was difficult to walk anymore.

I stiffened as the sweet smell associated with an omega’s heat filled the air. “No, no, no, it can’t be”

I grabbed at my shirt, sniffing like crazy hoping the scent wasn’t from me. I had to get out of the forest right-

A low growl broke the silence of the forest behind me, my body tensing up regardless of the cramps.

“Hello, pretty omega” Despite all the warning bells ringing frantically in my head, I turned to look at the person who had just spoken.

Fear held me in a choke hold as I met red colored eyes. A rogue. My feet took off before my brain could register what I was doing.

My heat raced with fear at each footstep I heard behind me, the need to see the camp fire Oli had set up burned through me fiercely.

I tripped on a broken branch, a prickle of pain indicating I had injured myself.

“You could have saved yourself this trouble if you had collected what you were suppose to” This time around it was a different person that spoke.

There were multiple red eyes now, their faces twisted with the dark. Cackles rang out around me as crushing pain and pleasure ran through me.

“Hold him, boys. Let’s put him out of his misery” I crawled backwards as two pairs of red eyes approached me.

I pushed to my feet then, fueled by fear and adrenaline. “What are you looking at?! Get him!” I heard their leader snarl behind me.

I limped as fast as I could, my pants getting wet with slick. I wheezed in and out, my vision growing blurry as I heard multiple people run after me.

My lungs seized up; my breathing stopping for a second. I was having a panic attack. Tears slid down my cheeks as I felt a whisper of a hand brush across my neck.

My body seemed to fail me just when I needed it; how befitting. But I was not going to succumb to mindlessness because of my designation.

I slapped myself hard across the face; my breathing coming back to normal at once. But it was too late; the rogues had gained on me.

“I know I can’t run anymore, p-please don’t hurt me” I pleaded as I came to a halt. I raised my hand above my head, watching them as my wolf keened within me.

“Good, we won’t hurt you. We would pleasure you all night lon-” Their groan of pain echoed behind me as I shuffled away.

I used up the only trick I had up my sleeve. The pepper spray Oli had given me during the opening of the bakery had served its use.

I let out a whimper as my stomach cramped up even more, slick running down my thighs as I sighted a tunnel before me.

I limped towards it, grateful for the escape from the rogue wolves. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if…

My vision doubled for a while, causing me to stumble briefly before I got back to my feet.

I glanced down at my body only to see I was bleeding. I pressed down again the wound, limping towards the other side of the tunnel.

My breath was harsh as my vision winked in and out, pain radiating through me at each step I carried.

There seemed to be a light at the end of the tunnel, only if I could make it there before they caught up to me.

Black dots began to encroach into my vision but I shook it away, I was few steps away from the light now.

I was there already-

A body slammed me into the ground, causing a whimper of pain to leave my lips.

I was rolled onto my back, the back of my head throbbing with pain as a hand gripped my jaw tight.

“You thought you could run away, Omega?” I tried to free myself, revulsion curdling up within me at the strange touch.

“P-please let me go” I pleaded, pushing weakly at the Alpha’s chest.

“Only when I have gotten my fill of you” The Alpha responded, burying his nose into my scent spot.

My wolf howled in pain within me, but was too weak with heat to help me in anyway.

“D-don’t do this” I let out, my voice merely a whisper as the Alpha lapped at my scent spot continuous, bruising the already delicate skin.

Helplessness washed over me as I felt the Alpha rip through my shirt, his coarse textured hand touching at my delicate skin.

Tears slipped down my cheeks as pain from heat and what was about to happen became clearer as the Alpha tore away my pants.
