Scarlett’s POV

I returned to my room slowly, closing the door behind me.

For a moment, I just stood there quietly.

Then I walked to the bed and sat down, my fingers tightening around my phone.

Then I opened the photo Usher had sent.

I stared at it for a long time.

In my previous life, I always believed I was nothing but an Omega, an orphan.

Someone with no background, no family, no value.

The entire pack looked down on me.

Ignored me, avoided me. And then… Killian appeared.

He married me. Gave me a place.

A name.

I thought he saved me.

I was so grateful.

So stupid.

A bitter smile formed on my lips.

I gave him everything.

I worked day and night in the lab. I helped him develop drug after drug. I pushed my body to its limit just so he could shine in front of the Council.

And in the end…

He only wanted my ability.

Nothing more.

My fingers tightened.

“This time…” I whispered softly, “you will get nothing from me.”

Just then, I heard a knock on the door, jolting me out of my thoughts.

“Come in,” I said calmly.

The door opened and Leo walked in.

My eyes softened for a brief second… then turned cold again.

In his hands was a glass of hot milk.

"Mom…” he said quietly, avoiding my eyes. “I’m sorry for earlier.”

I didn’t respond.

“I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that,” he continued. “I was wrong.”

He walked closer and placed the glass on the table beside me.

“I brought you milk,” he said. “Please drink it.”

My gaze slowly moved to the glass milk.

In my past life… this was where it started.

Every night, he brought me milk.

Every night, I drank it.

Thinking it was love.

Thinking it was care.

But instead… It was poison. My beloved son was poisoning me

My health slowly got worse after that. And I never questioned it.

My chest tightened.

I looked at Leo.

His face looked innocent, obedient just like before.

But now… I could see through it.

My heart ached.

This boy…

The boy I loved with all my heart was the one who helped destroy me.

“Leave it there,” I said calmly.

He nodded and set the milk down, reminded me that Killian wanted to see me downstairs, and left.

The moment the door clicked shut, I picked up my phone and called Mira , my Delta, one of the few people in this pack whose loyalty I had genuinely earned through years of quiet, consistent fairness.

She picked up on the first ring.

"Mira. Come to my room. There's a glass of milk on my table. I need it taken to the lab and tested before morning. Don't touch it with your bare hands."

"Understood, Ma'am." She replied.

I leaned back slightly, closing my eyes.

My suspicions will be confirmed soon.

......

When I went downstairs, I immediately saw Killian and Tiffany.

She was holding his arm, smiling sweetly.

The moment she saw me, she slowly let go.

Like she didn’t want me to misunderstand.

I almost laughed.

Too late.

I already know everything.

“Scarlett,” Killian called.

I walked closer, my expression calm.

“I have something to discuss with you,” he said.

I nodded. “Go ahead.”

“Tiffany will be joining the company,” he said.

Of course.

I glanced at Tiffany.

She lowered her head shyly, but I could see the pride in her eyes.

“She found a way to suppress silver poison,” Killian continued. “If this research succeeds, it will help me pass the Council’s test.”

I almost smiled.

Suppress?

Not cure?

So she still doesn’t understand the formula.

Good.

Very good.

"That's a wonderful idea," I said. "Actually... I think Tiffany should take over the silver poisoning research entirely. I've been meaning to take a few days away. This works out perfectly."

The silence that followed was almost entertaining.

Both of them blinked. Neither of them had been prepared for that.

"I... are you sure?" Killian said.

"Completely." I covered a small yawn with my hand. "I'm exhausted, honestly. I need rest. Tiffany can handle it. She clearly has ideas. It's fine."

Killian opened his mouth, like he wanted to say something.

But I had already turned away.

“I’m going upstairs,” I said. “I need rest.”

And without waiting for his reply, I walked away.

.........

The next morning, I got ready early.

Today… I am leaving.

Not forever.

But at least, I would start building my own place.

My own life.

I got into the car and drove toward the Valley Wolf Pack.

The house I wanted was there, right at the border between Silver Moon and the Valley.

Perfect.

Close enough to watch everything.

Far enough to stay away.

A small smile appeared on my lips.

“This time… I choose myself.”

.........

The Valley Wolf Pack’s auction house was even more beautiful than I remembered.

It has large gates, tall walls, and guards everywhere.

Inside, you could buy anything; rare herbs, precious crystals, even mansions.

Power and wealth. Everything gathered in one place.

I stepped forward, calm and confident.

But before I could enter, a guard blocked my way.

“Stop.”

I paused.

Another guard stepped closer… then sniffed the air.

His expression changed instantly with disgust.

“An Omega?” he said sharply. “Get lost.”

My eyes turned cold.

“Omegas are not allowed inside,” he continued. “This place is not for you.”

I took a slow breath.

“I’m here for the auction,” I said calmly.

He laughed.

“Did you not hear me? Leave!” He groaned.

“I have the right to be here,” I said, my voice steady.

He crossed his arms. “And what right is that?”

I looked him straight in the eye.

“I am the successor of the Moonlight Pack’s Alpha.”

There was silence, then laughter.

Not just from the guards. But also from behind me.

I turned to see a young woman standing a few feet away, flanked by guards.

I recognized her immediately, though she clearly didn't recognize me.

She's Julie. Daughter of the Red Moon Pack's Alpha.

I had seen her before… from a distance. At a wolf feast.

But she didn’t recognize me.

Of course she didn’t.

To people like her… I was invisible.

“You?” she laughed. “Moonlight Pack?”

She walked closer, looking me up and down.

“I’ve never heard that Alpha Arther has a daughter,” she said mockingly. “And even if he did… it definitely wouldn’t be an Omega like you.”

Her words were sharp. But this time they didn’t hurt.

They just made me feel… cold.

“Do you know the punishment for impersonating an Alpha’s heir?” she continued, her smile turning cruel. “You should be careful.”

I didn’t respond.

I didn’t even look at her again.

Instead, I took out my phone and dialed Usher’s number.

But before the call could connect...

“Hey!”

Julie’s voice turned sharp.

“How dare you ignore me?”

I still didn’t respond.

I simply held my phone to my ear.

Her anger exploded as she glared at me with rage. In the next second, she shifted.

Her claws extended. Her aura flared.

“I’ll teach you a lesson,” she growled, ready to attack me.

Gasps filled the entrance as the guards stepped backward.

Scarlett's POVFor a few seconds, no one spoke. The atmosphere inside the conference hall shifted so quickly that it almost felt unreal.Only moments ago, Zack had been standing there with absolute confidence, convinced that no one would attend.Now...Every seat reserved for the shareholders was occupied. The board members had also arrived.Even the council elders had taken their places at the front of the room. The silence was broken only by the soft scrape of chairs as everyone settled down.I watched Zack from the corner of my eye.His confident smile had completely disappeared. His jaw tightened so hard that I thought he might crack a tooth.Good.For once...He finally knew what it felt like to lose control.I inhaled quietly before walking toward the center of the conference room.A massive digital screen stood behind me, stretching almost from one wall to the other. The words LUNAR REGENERATION PROJECT slowly illuminated the monitor in silver letters.I placed both hands light

Scarlett's POVI arrived at Silver Moon Pharmaceuticals long before the sun had fully risen. The sky was still painted in soft shades of grey and pale gold, as though the world itself hadn't yet decided whether to wake or remain asleep. But there was no hesitation in my steps as I entered the building. Today wasn't a day for uncertainty. It was a day for confirmation, for truth, for victory.Amelia was already waiting at the entrance of the research division when I arrived."You're early, Ma'am," she said with a small smile, falling into step beside me."I couldn't sleep," I replied honestly. She studied me for a moment but said nothing further. There was no need. We both understood what today meant: the final validation of the Lunar Regeneration Project. We stepped into the laboratory together, and the atmosphere inside immediately told me I wasn't the first to arrive. Everyone was already there, every researcher, every assistant, every scientist who had poured their nights and day

Scarlett The second name belonged to a man called Desmond Reyes, and according to Usher's notes, he could be found at a private gambling club on the southern edge of the territory, a place that catered to wolves who preferred their vices kept far from public view. The club itself was dim, expensive, thick with the low murmur of conversation and the soft click of chips against polished tables. Usher led the way through it with the ease of someone who had clearly been here before, and within minutes we had located Desmond seated at a private table near the back, a half-finished drink at his elbow and a stack of chips dwindling steadily in front of him.He looked up as I approached, and his expression cycled rapidly through confusion, recognition, and then something close to panic."Luna Scarlett." He stood so quickly his chair nearly toppled behind him. "I wasn't expecting...""I imagine not."He glanced nervously toward the other tables, lowering his voice. "If this is about the meet

Scarlett I left the office a little after six, the building gradually emptying around me as the evening shift took over the laboratory floor. By the time I reached the mansion, the sky had already begun its slow shift toward dusk, the gold of late afternoon fading into something deeper, more deliberate.I showered quickly, then dressed in something sharper than my usual office attire, a deep charcoal dress that moved easily and said exactly what it needed to say without a single word. Power, but not excess. Authority, but not arrogance. The kind of presence that made people sit up a little straighter without quite understanding why.At seven o'clock precisely, Usher's car pulled into the driveway.I stepped outside, and he opened the door for me himself, no driver between us, no unnecessary witnesses to whatever tonight would become."My men have already confirmed the locations," he said once we were moving, sliding a folded paper toward me from the passenger seat. "All five shareho

Scarlett The elevator doors opened. Instead of heading toward my office, I immediately pressed the button for the research division.Amelia looked at me knowingly. "I had a feeling you'd do that.""I need to see it myself."Within moments, we arrived at the laboratory. The atmosphere inside was even more energetic than before. Researchers hurried between workstations with smiles that hadn't existed just days earlier. The moment Rachel noticed me, she nearly ran across the laboratory."Luna! You won't believe it.""I already heard. But I want to see everything."Daniel immediately projected today's data onto the large digital screen. Colorful graphs appeared one after another. Benjamin pointed excitedly toward the final results."The catalyst adjustment worked exactly as predicted."Sophia could barely contain herself. "The regenerative response increased by another twelve percent."I carefully studied every graph, every chart, every calculation. Then I slowly smiled. "This," I whisp

Scarlett The food was every bit as wonderful as the restaurant's reputation suggested. Halfway through the meal, Mrs. Clinton noticed I had slowed down. She narrowed her eyes. "Scarlett.""I'm eating."She looked unconvinced. "You've barely touched your vegetables."I looked down at my plate. She was right.Without another word, she quietly moved the plate closer to me. "Finish them."I laughed. "Yes, Luna."Mr. Clinton burst into laughter. "I haven't heard that tone in years."Mrs. Clinton looked at him. "You'll finish yours too."His smile immediately disappeared. "I suddenly don't feel hungry anymore."She raised one elegant eyebrow. "Really?"He sighed dramatically before picking up his fork. "I should have stayed home."I laughed so hard I nearly choked on my juice. Mrs. Clinton immediately handed me a glass of water."Slowly."I accepted it with an embarrassed smile. "Thank you."She gently brushed a strand of hair away from my face. "You've been taking care of everyone else fo
