Lust and love

Luther POV

“Get me a cappacino cofee” I said to my cook as I made way to the varenda, fresh air hit me as it calmed my nerves while sending chills down my spine, I could feel blood pumping on my below as my thought raced immediately to rose.

I remembered the club, her eyes, her hands, how she drew me closer and lastly her moans.

“Was this lust or love ?” I thought to myself but I definitely was sure that it wasn’t just lust , I’ve been with other women sexually I didn’t really think of them that much.

And I didn’t miss that even sexually as much as I missed rose.

“Someone is here to see you “ Marco cut into my thought as I turned to face him.

“Who could be here this early “

“ it Marylin sir “ he said as I scoffed ,

“Let her in “

“Hello dear” Marylin walked in her fragrance filling the room , her gown red and white revealing , she knew I also liked red and she definitely had a motive.

“Why are you here so early Marylin” my tune firm.

“I’m just here to see you , yunno jt early, and it’s about to rain soon” she said as she placed her purse on the table feeling comfortable with the environment.

“Your coffee sir” my cook said as he immediately turned to leave.

I walked to the table making sure my eyes doesn’t leave Marylin , cause only God knows what she was planning as I sipped in my cofee while sitting watching her.

“Don’t you think that coffee wouldn’t be enough “ she said as I remained quiet.

“It cold, it early , I can see your boner through that robe” she said as she came closer, swaying her hips seductively , then I knew what she wanted.

I and rose weren’t in a relationship yet, so perhaps I could make use of this opportunity , perhaps to clear my head, I needed to understand what I felt for rose, and just like as if she could hear my thoughts.

She came closer took the cofee off my hands as she sat on my legs and kissed me slowly till I could feel myself hard.

She got down, took my length into her mouth till she gagged on it, releasing her throat and tightening at same time.

I moaned , but my voice husk as I stood up , pulled her gown down , caressed a boobs for a bit then turned her over, rammed into her slow at first, increased my tempo bit by bit till I got faster, I could feel my body almost climaxing, I didn’t bother to hold myself anymore as I pulled out and climaxed.

“I still need you” she said her voice a bit low almost like she was moaning.

“That enough Marylin “ I said as I sat on the chair as she looked at me startled.

“IT seems this girl has more effect on you than you think”

“What do you mean”

“You didn’t touch me enough, you immediately turned me over , no long foreplay and lastly after the sex you don’t even want more, it more like you just used me to satisfy yourself , I know how sexual you can be and this is unlike you” she said

“ I did warn you Marylin, didn’t I” I said as she dressed up and picked up her purse.

“You’ll hear from me “ she said as she stormed off, The door slammed, echoing through the hallway like a warning shot. Marylin’s perfume still lingered in the air, sweet and suffocating, but my thoughts were nowhere near her. I reflected on what she just said .

“ she didn’t lie, I haven’t had sex yet with rise it was just foreplay, but I wanted her, yeah I could have sex with others , but it was she I truly wanted.

She was right. I didn’t want her. Not really.

I leaned back in my chair, robe slightly parted, cooling sweat clinging to my skin. The high faded as fast as it came.

A poor attempt at distraction. My body had responded, sure but my mind… it was still on her.

Rose.

Her voice still haunted my head, the way she whispered “Okay. I’ll drag myself out.” like she meant every damn word. And the worst part? I let her go.

I closed my eyes and ran a hand through my hair. What the hell was I doing?

She was danger. Not because of what she did but because of what she made me feel. Vulnerable. Unfocused. Human.

That wasn’t a luxury I could afford in this business. Not with the enemies I had. Not with Conti lurking, watching, probably already plotting.

A knock on the door pulled me from my spiral.

Marco again.

“What now?” I barked.

He stepped in, his face unreadable. “Sir, we got a call from one of our guys near the apartment. Rose’s place was broken into.”

My heart dropped—but my face didn’t

flinch.

“Anyone hurt?”

“No. She wasn’t home yet. But the place was ransacked. Whoever it was left a black envelope. Inside was a bullet and a note.”

I already knew before he said it.

“You chose the wrong side.”

Of course.

“Get three men on her apartment. Round-the-clock. I want them outside, unmarked. No contact unless necessary.”

“Yes sir.”

He turned to leave, but I stopped him. “Marco.”

He paused.

“If anything happens to her… I’ll hold you personally responsible.”

His eyes flickered, just slightly, then he nodded and left.

I stood, tossed the half-full coffee into the sink, and stared out the window into the grey clouds forming. Rain was coming.

So was war.

But it wasn’t just business anymore. I wasn’t just protecting an asset. I was protecting her. Rose.

And the scariest thing?

I wasn’t sure if I could.

I could feel my phone vibrating as I picked it up , and there it was written

“Vicenzo conti”.

Vicenzo’s POVThe air in the study was heavy with the scent of Cuban cigars and aged leather, the kind of atmosphere that spoke of power, secrets, and men who never slept peacefully. I leaned back in my chair, fingers tapping against the polished mahogany desk as my eyes bored into David, my younger brother, who stood opposite me like a restless shadow. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his eyes refusing to meet mine, and already I knew what he was here for. David had never learned to look me in the eye when he wanted something. He was ashamed of needing me, but not enough to stay away.“So,” I said, my voice cutting through the silence, low and laced with disdain, “you finally come to me after months of pretending you want nothing to do with my business, my life, my empire. Yet here you are… standing in front of me, hands itching for the very thing you claim you despise. Money.”David’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t answer immediately. I almost laughed at the irony. He

Vicenzo POVI paced across the marble floor of my office, the sound of my shoes ricocheting against the silence. The air was thick with smoke from the half-burnt cigarette between my fingers, but it did nothing to calm me. My chest felt tight, like invisible hands were squeezing me.“Where the hell is my shipment?” I muttered under my breath, slamming my palm against the edge of the desk. This wasn’t just a box of weapons or a container of product. This shipment was supposed to seal a deal with the Russians—a deal that bought me leverage, bought me time, bought me my reputation. Without it, I looked weak. And weakness in this business? It’s a death sentence.I’d already sent my men combing through the ports, calling every contact, squeezing every informant. Nothing. Silence. Like the sea had swallowed it whole. My mind raced. Could Luther have intercepted it? That bastard Lombardi always lurked in the shadows, waiting for a chance to humiliate me. Or maybe it was one of the cartel s

  • Torn between mafias    Trouble

Luther POVI leaned back in my chair, letting the smoke curl from my cigar, slow and steady, like it owned the air in this room. Marco had just come in with the report, and I didn’t even glance at him when I spoke.“Release one.”He hesitated. I could hear it in his breathing, the doubt. “Release… one, boss?”“Yes.” I flicked ash into the tray, my voice sharp. “The weakest one. Make it look like he escaped while the others couldn’t. When Vicenzo asks, you’ll say he was smart enough to slip out.”Marco shifted, nervous. “But boss, that could make Vicenzo suspicious. He might torture the man for answers. He might—”“That’s the point.” I cut him off, finally locking eyes with him. “Suspicion. Doubt. Let him question his own men before he dares to question me. While he’s too busy tearing apart his house looking for rats, I’ll already have one planted inside.”Marco frowned, still cautious. “An insider? And what if the guy betrays us instead?”I chuckled, drawing in another drag of smoke

The black Maserati purred as I pulled into the estate gates, the metal bars sliding open like they knew better than to delay me. The sun had dipped low, throwing long shadows across the marble driveway, but my head wasn’t on the sunset , it was on Rose. She’d looked like a cornered bird when she opened the door earlier, like she wanted to slam it shut but didn’t dare. I could smell her fear even through her forced politeness. She didn’t say much , but the way her eyes flickered told me she was hiding something. I didn’t push. Not yet.The driver cut the engine, and I stepped out, fixing my cufflinks. The house loomed ahead, all glass and stone, an empire built from blood and money.Inside, the air was heavy with the scent of cigars and polished wood. And there she was, my mother seated in the grand chair like a queen in her throne room. Black silk blouse, hair pinned up, eyes sharper than any blade I’d ever carried. Even now, she didn’t just look like power, she radiated it.She di

  • Torn between mafias    Obsession

Rose POVThe knock on my door wasn’t friendly.
It was sharp, deliberate, like each rap carried a warning.I froze halfway between the kitchen and the hallway, my pulse kicking up before I even asked, “Who is it?”A pause. Then a low, familiar voice that curled in my chest like smoke.
“Rose.”Vicenzo.The sound of his name in my head was enough to turn my skin cold. I hadn’t seen him in weeks where I’d been trying to breathe without the weight of him on my neck, weeks where I thought maybe the distance would keep me safe.I opened the door just enough to see him.He was exactly the same, pressed black suit, shirt unbuttoned at the collar, dark hair slicked back like he’d walked out of a magazine and straight into trouble. His eyes swept over me, slow and deliberate, before he stepped inside without asking.“You’ve been hard to reach,” he said, scanning my apartment as though he owned it.“I’ve been busy,” I replied, folding my arms.He turned toward me, one brow lifting. “Busy with wh

  • Torn between mafias    Towards obsession

Vicenzo POVTowards obsession It was a fresh morning, I was already dressed on my bath robe as I made my way to the balcony enjoying the atmosphere as fresh air hit me.I decided to go check up on momma, at the bottom of the stairs, I found her, my mother, Alessia, seated elegantly in her silk robe, a porcelain cup in hand. She sipped her tea with the same poise she carried into every room, her eyes calm, distant, as though she belonged to another world entirely.“Ma,” I greeted softly, forcing a smile. “You’re up early.”She didn’t look at me, not at first. The steam from her cup seemed to interest her more than my presence. I stepped closer, lowering my tone, trying to be the son instead of the boss for once. “I thought I’d sit with you a while. Maybe keep you company.”Her gaze flicked toward me, sharp and fleeting. “You’ve have a long day, Vicenzo,” she said coolly. “Don’t force sweetness when what you need is rest. Go upstairs.”I froze for a second, her words cutting deeper t
