What Large Pecs You Have

While we stood at attention and in formation during marching practice, I stared hard at the orientation leader, silently wanting him to blow the whistle.

At last, it was finally noon and he finally blew the whistle.

I immediately ran toward the cafeteria like I was running the hundred-meter dash.

On the first day of class, I stumbled across the most delicious grilled sausage. They were juicy with a little sweetness, sweet with a kick of spiciness. They were the best grilled sausages I had ever eaten.

Plenty of others had the same idea, and everyone was rushing to get their paws on the sausages.

The counter was getting closer, but before I could reach it, I crashed into a muscular guy's arms. His pecs actually visibly bounced and the impact knocked me onto my butt.

Camden Jordan's laughter rang in my ears. I looked up and saw that obnoxious smirk on his face.

Camden had taken off his T-shirt and hung it casually over his shoulder. His eight-pack was also on full public display.

What a showoff. Taking off his clothes in public like that. Was it really that hot?

But I had no time to get mad at him.

Before I could even get up, I saw that the grilled sausages were almost gone. I watched helplessly as the cafeteria worker gave the last sausage to a classmate.

There really were none left.

Camden smugly held up the grilled sausages on his plate and put them right in front of my face. "They smell so good, and they taste so good too."

My gaze followed the grilled sausages on his plate on instinct.

The next second, Camden spat on them twice. His saliva landed right on the grilled sausages. "Yup, no. Not giving you any."

I clenched my fists in silence, my breathing quickening. Did he really want to die that much?

Camden still had no idea what was happening. "Do you want some, Eleanor? I can give them to you!"

I forced a smile. "Get lost. Stay away from me. I get dizzy around big pecs."

That one sentence made Camden's expression change instantly. The body he was so proud of was apparently worthless to me.

Camden sounded like he got choked on something. "I'm still better than that useless fiance of yours!"

My smile did not change. "Alright. I know I hit a nerve."

As I spoke, I even poked Camden's pec with my finger. To my surprise, it was actually quite soft.

I suppressed my shock, gave a cold snort, and left.

Since the grilled sausages were gone, I had no choice but to settle for something else for lunch.

Before I finished eating, I suddenly saw Boyd Rivers, my fiance. I was about to sit with him and say hello when I saw Jolene Bridges walk over.

My brows furrowed slightly. Hadn't Jolene failed to get into Alpaca University?

Why was she here?

The next second, my sight was blocked.

My expression shifted slightly as I looked up at Camden's face. "What are you doing here?"

"Why is your fiance sitting with someone else? I remember that woman is called Jolene Bridges."

I ignored the mockery in his tone and shot back, "Why are you paying so much attention to me? Keep this up, and I might really think you like me."

Camden's expression turned dark as he picked up his tray, stood, and left. Looks like I had disgusted him.

But without Camden blocking my view, I looked up and found Boyd and Jolene both gone.

I didn't dwell on it.

Freshman orientation continued in the afternoon.
