By the time I left Caspian standing there like a Calvin Klein ad dipped in concern, my panties were a disaster, my brain was fried, and my legs were moving on autopilot. Vice Principal’s office. That was the goal. Except… I had no idea where the hell that even was. I took a left. Or maybe a right. I couldn’t think anymore. My thoughts were still sticky. And then…I saw him. Leaning against the lockers like a slow sin. Black hoodie. Sharp jaw. Dark brows. And a silver lip ring glinting under the hallway light like it wanted to be licked. Wait…what? My body reacted instantly. Heat coiled low in my belly, and I swear my ovaries high-fived. What the actual hell is going on with me today? Am I… ovulating? In heat? Did someone curse me with horny girl syndrome? He turned his head slowly, catching me staring. A crooked smirk tugged at his lip, the pierced one. “Lost?” he asked, voice deep, calm, way too hot for a hallway. I blinked. “Uh. Yeah. Vice Principal’s office?” He stepped closer. Lazy confidence. The kind that didn’t ask for attention, it commanded it. “Take the hallway straight, last door on your left,” he said. I nodded. I should’ve walked. I meant to walk. But I was still standing there like an idiot, staring at that shiny little ring. Lips. Lips with metal. Tongue. Lips. Piercing. Thoughts. Bad. I squeezed my thighs. Get it together, Nicole. And then… Boom. Landon’s face popped into my brain. Eyebrow piercing. Smug mouth. Cocky glare. Ew. Nope. Abort. Abort mission. What the hell is wrong with me? I shook my head. “Thanks,” I said, trying to walk past. But his voice stopped me. “You okay?” God. Why do hot guys keep asking me that? “Yeah. Just a weird morning.” He looked at me for a beat, eyes flicking down my body in a way that wasn’t rude, just…observant. Knowing. “Welcome to hell,” he said, smirking again. Great. More fuel for my inner chaos. He turned, took a step like he was about to leave, then paused. “I’ll walk you,” he said. “I’m heading that way anyway.” Shit. “Uh…sure,” I managed, trying not to stare at his mouth again. We started walking.. Close. I could smell him. Crisp. Clean. A little pine. A little sin. Focus. “You new?” he asked casually. “Is it that obvious?” He glanced over, lip twitching. “Just a little. Also, you’ve got a death grip on your bag like it owes you money.” I looked down. I was definitely clenching it like a bomb was inside. “Right,” I muttered. "Well, when guys around here keep popping up like limited-edition sin, can you blame me for holding onto the only thing that won’t ruin me?” “Or you just bumped into Landon.” My eyes shot to him. “Wait…you know him?” “Unfortunately,” Liam said with a shrug. “ Kind of.” Of course. I snorted. “Figures. The asshole club.” He grinned. “He’s not that bad. Once you get past the ego and the mouth.” I gave him a look. “And the dickish smirk,” I added. Liam laughed, low, smooth, and unreasonably attractive. God help me. This school was going to ruin me. He paused a few steps ahead. “It’s that door,” he said, nodding toward the one boldly stamped V.P. in black letters. I followed his gaze, lips parting to thank him. But then, I made the mistake of looking down. His hand. Those fingers. And….Jesus. His nails. Short. Clean. Neatly trimmed. Fuck. My entire body reacted like it had just been whispered to. Imagine those fingers teasing the seam of your panties... pressing in slow and deep… curling just right. God. I squeezed my thighs so tight I could’ve snapped a pencil. “Thanks,” I croaked, turning away like that would help. It didn’t. Not when I could still feel him behind me. His body heat. His eyes. Wait. Was he still watching me? I risked a glance over my shoulder. He was. Hands still in his hoodie pocket. Leaning against the lockers again. His eyebrows raised just slightly. That smirk, slow and deliberate, like he knew exactly what I was thinking. My face burned. I turned back around, ready to bolt… “Hey,” he said, voice low. I stopped, pulse skidding. “Yeah?” A pause. Then, he stepped closer. Slow. One foot. Then another. He didn’t stop until he was close enough for me to feel his breath, to smell that mix of pine and heat and boy. He looked down at me, eyes lazy, heavy-lidded, but sharp beneath it all. He wasn’t just seeing me, he was studying me. “Wanna know what I think?” No. Yes. Maybe. Fuck. I swallowed. “What?” He leaned in slightly, lips near my ear. “You’re way too soft to survive in this school,” he murmured, “But damn if I don’t wanna see you try.” My breath hitched. His eyes flicked to my lips. He wasn’t moving fast. But it felt like he could. Like he was one half-step from kissing me, or destroying me. My brain short-circuited. Every cell in my body screamed do not move. But he stepped back first. Like he’d had his fun. Like he already knew I’d be thinking about that for the rest of the day. “You’ll need that schedule,” he said, nodding toward the office door. Then he turned and walked away.. Wait…”My voice barely came out. I didn’t know what I was asking. Just that I needed something. “What’s your name?” He paused. Didn’t look back at first. Then slowly, he turned his head. “Liam,” he said. Voice low.. Then he kept walking. And I stood there… whispering it to myself like a sin I wasn’t supposed to say out loud. Liam. Temptation in a black hoodie just flirted with me like foreplay was a handshake. And I let it happen. God help me. My hand brushed the doorknob to the V.P. office, but my mind was still in the hallway. Wrapped around his mouth. His fingers. That lip ring. I groaned under my breath. After a few moments to get it together.. I opened the door. And her bulging eyes pierced straight through me. “Took you long enough,” she said coolly. “Or maybe you thought I’d given up.” I shot back. Her gaze swept over me. “I see you tinted your hair.” A scoff. “How rebellious.” I tilted my head. “What? Don’t you like it?” Her smile didn’t reach her eyes. “Or are you about to tell me to cut it off?” I added. She leaned forward, voice silk and steel. “No, Nicole.” A pause. A beat too long. “If I wanted something gone…” Her eyes narrowed. “I’d make sure it never grew back.” She flipped open a folder. “Now…” she said slowly, turning her eyes to the chair in the corner. “Meet your new student, Miss Winter.” The chair spun. And when I saw who it was.. My heart dropped. My stomach flipped. And my mouth barely moved as I breathed out, “Oh no.”~Nicole~“I don’t want to do this anymore,” I admitted. “I don’t care whether I’m wolfless or not. I already have people who make me feel like enough.”“Then that’s your answer,” Lulu said softly. She reached for my hand.“Thank God you didn’t do anything drastic.”My chest tightened painfully at that.Because what if I had? What if I had actually used the wolfsbane on the King? What if Landon ever found out the truth?Would he forgive me?Would any of them still look at me the same way?And H.P…No matter what the truth was, she didn’t deserve pain.A fresh wave of tears rolled down my face.“I’m sorry,” I whispered brokenly. “I almost became the villain.”The words hurt more than I expected.Immediately, both of them moved closer.“That’s exactly why you have us,” Lulu murmured, pulling me into another hug.“To stop you when your brain starts doing nonsense,” Enz added lightly. That earned a watery laugh out of me.A real one this time. And slowly… The tightness in my chest began to
~Nicole~“So… uhmm… you guys remember when I said I wanted to get into the Royal Academy?” I began quietly.“Yeah,” they both answered at the same time.“You said you wanted to transfer schools even though your mom didn’t want you to,” Enz added.I nodded slowly. “Yeah… that.”My fingers twisted together on my lap. “But that wasn’t the only reason I came here.”The mood shifted instantly. Both of them looked at me properly now.Concerned.Lulu leaned closer first. “Nicole… what’s wrong?”I opened my mouth, closed it again.I didn't know how to go about it.But finally, before I could stop myself… I did.“I came here on a revenge mission. To kill the King.”Silence.Their eyes widened so fast it almost startled me.“What the hell?” Enz hissed immediately. Both of them lunged toward me at once, covering my mouth like the walls themselves would report me.“Are you insane?” Enz whisper-yelled. “Do you even hear yourself right now?”My breathing turned uneven as I pulled Lulu’s hand gently
~Nicole~“What?” I said sharply. “Why would she even come for me?”Silence. And then it clicked. All those times during the school trip… all the moments I kept wondering who was feeding information back to Mom.My stomach tightened.“Jeez…” I whispered. “So she’s the snitch all along. And I was wondering which teacher would do that. But it's her…”Enz exhaled through his nose. “Yeah. I’m starting to think she’s worse than we thought.”I nodded slowly, but something still felt off.Because Lulu wasn’t just angry. She was distant, her expression wasn’t fully here.I narrowed my eyes.“Okay,” I said, softer now. “What is it? You’ve been acting weird since earlier… since you and Vi… ” I gestured lightly between them. “You know.”I leaned in a little. “Aren’t you happy?”Lulu forced a small smile. “I am. Really.”But it didn’t reach her eyes.“There’s just… something bothering me,” she added after a pause.Enz leaned in. “What is it? You can tell us.”She hesitated again. Then finally, she
~Nicole~My brow furrowed as I turned from Lulu back to Enz.“Stop keeping us in suspense and just tell us already,” Lulu said, her voice sharper now.I nodded quickly. “Yeah, Enz. You’ve been dragging this too long.”Enz raised both hands like we were attacking him.“Alright, alright. Relax,” he said. “Come closer.”We both leaned in immediately, eyes fixed on him.He lowered his voice like what he was about to say was dangerous.“Guess who I saw getting dragged into a classroom today.”I blinked. “Dragged?”Lulu frowned. “Who are you talking about?”Enz sighed loudly, clearly annoyed at our slowness. “You two really have no patience.”Then he leaned in a little more. “I saw Rain… with Sabrina.”For a second, it didn’t register. Then it did.“What?” we both said at the same time.I straightened instantly. “No way. That’s not possible.”Enz shook his head. “I’m telling you, it is. I wouldn’t have believed it either if I didn’t see it myself.”Lulu’s voice dropped slightly. “What were
~Nicole~I had a bad feeling about this entanglement.. The kind you don’t ignore… even when nothing has happened yet.“Yeah… sure… ‘low-key’…” I muttered under my breath, scratching the side of my neck.“Alright, break’s over!” the director called out, clapping her hands. “Let’s run it again.”We reset. A few more takes later, we finally nailed the scene for our school drama.Albourbe Lunarise… a story about two enemies bound by the Moon Goddess, fated to love each other in every lifetime… and die for it every time.Sigh.By the time we left the building, evening had settled in. I didn’t bother calling Enz or Lulu… they were probably already at Enz’s place. His private house had basically become our unofficial hangout spot… for the boys, Vi, all of us.Well, except Lucian. He was still dead serious about the teacher-student boundary, though even he showed up occasionally. When he did, we all tried our best to be respectful. And H.P?She’d been surprisingly relaxed lately, fully
~Nicole~TWO WEEKS LATERSchool was back in session, and the trip’s drama was finally dying down, fading into the usual background noise of hallway gossip.Well, for everyone but us.Somehow, my entire friend group had ended up with an extra person in their lives. Honestly, listening to them gush about their new partners was getting as exhausting as it was entertaining. Not that I could really talk. I never missed an opportunity to brag about my boyfriends.Yep. Boyfriends. After that last heated night, I finally stopped fighting it and told them I wanted them all. I’d expected a million questions or at least a second of hesitation. Instead, they just smiled and kissed me like they’d been waiting for me to say it since forever. And speaking of kisses…The marks they left were still staring back at me in the mirror. I’d tried everything to hide them from H.P, but she eventually caught a glimpse. Luckily, she still hasn't figured out who put them there….or how they did it.Things
~Nicole~I heard my name, like a whisper, almost too close.I shook my head slowly, like I could physically throw the feeling away. There’s nothing wrong with me, It’s just the wind, just the cold.I glanced around, my shoulders tightening as the chill brushed past my neck again. A second ago the
~Nicole~“Enough of this drama, Chloe… you’re giving me a headache,” Caspian’s tone was cold and irritated..And immediately he didn’t just take my hand, he locked his fingers through mine, hard enough to let me know he wasn’t letting go.One sharp tug and my body collided with his side.“Are you
~Nicole~My legs were jelly.Real jelly…. Like wobbly, supermarket-brand, almost-expired strawberry jelly.I stormed out of the classroom, lips still tingling, face burning, chest pounding like I ran a freaking marathon in heels. He kissed me.No…he attacked my mouth like it owed him rent. That was
~Nicole~New day. New feelings. No sad thoughts, no overthinking.Just focus on my mission here… and maybe a little fantasy or two if I get bored.“Hi… Nicole.”Oh. My. God.That voice, deep enough to make my spine straighten without me even thinking about it.I turned at the main gate and…Lord ha
