Nope, no sequel! But Vera Brosgol has other great works like 'Be Prepared' and 'Leave Me Alone!' that capture her same sharp wit and emotional depth. 'Anya's Ghost' stands alone, but if you crave more of her style, those are solid picks. I binge-read all her stuff after discovering Anya—her storytelling just clicks for me.

If you're hoping for more 'Anya's Ghost,' I hate to break it to you—it's a one-and-done deal. But that's not a bad thing! Some stories are perfect as they are, and this is one of them. The way Brosgol balances humor, horror, and teenage awkwardness is masterful. I first read it in high school, and it resonated so hard with my own weird, ghost-free (thankfully) but equally awkward life.

I wish there was a sequel—I'd love to see Anya navigating college with maybe a new supernatural twist—but Brosgol hasn't announced anything. The graphic novel's ending feels complete, though. It's rare to find a story that nails both closure and lingering mystery. I still think about that final scene with the tree sometimes. Brosgol's pacing is just chef's kiss—no loose threads, just a satisfying, bittersweet goodbye.

Anya's ghost' by Vera Brosgol is one of those graphic novels that sticks with you long After You turn the last page. I fell in love with its mix of spooky vibes and heartfelt coming-of-age themes. As far as I know, there isn't a sequel or series—it's a standalone story, and honestly, that's part of its charm. The ending wraps up Anya's journey so beautifully that adding more might dilute its impact.

That said, I'd kill for more stories in that universe! Brosgol's art style and storytelling are so unique, and I'd love to see her explore other characters or even a prequel about Emily's past. Until then, I'll just keep rereading my dog-eared copy and recommending it to anyone who'll listen.

No series, but hey, sometimes less is more! 'Anya's Ghost' packs so much into its pages: immigrant struggles, ghostly shenanigans, and that universal teen feeling of not fitting in. I stumbled upon it at my local library and devoured it in one sitting. Sequels aren't always necessary when a story leaves you this full.
