Ever since I first booted up 'Assassin's Creed Valhalla,' I was immediately drawn into its sprawling Norse world. The game’s depiction of Viking culture is immersive, from the brutal combat to the quiet moments of settlement-building. Sailing down rivers while your crew sings shanties feels downright magical, and the exploration is rewarding—every hidden nook seems to have a story. The RPG elements are deeper than in previous entries, with skill trees and gear customization that let you tailor Eivor to your playstyle. Some might find the sheer size overwhelming, but for me, getting lost in England’s misty forests and crumbling Roman ruins was part of the charm.
The narrative isn’t perfect—some arcs drag, and the modern-day segments still feel like an awkward appendage—but Eivor’s personal journey is compelling enough to carry it. The side quests, often quirky and darkly humorous, add flavor without overstaying their welcome. And let’s not forget the raids! Storming monasteries with your crew never gets old. If you enjoy open-world games with rich atmospheres and don’t mind a slower burn, 'Valhalla' is absolutely worth the time. Just be prepared to sink dozens of hours into it—this isn’t a game you rush through.
If you’re on the fence about 'Valhalla,' here’s my take: it’s a love letter to Viking fantasies, but it’s also bloated. The combat’s visceral, the world’s gorgeous, and the soundtrack slaps. But after 50 hours, even I started groaning at another collectible chase. Worth it for history buffs or fans of slow-burn storytelling, but maybe wait for a sale if you’re craving tight pacing.

"Little bunny, little bunny. Wolf is HUNGRY!"
The voice taunted me, followed by an evil cackle.

"Run, rabbit. RUN!"
A monstrous bellow boomed through the night sky and crashed into my soul like a sledgehammer. I could feel a chill sweeping across my body and my heart pounding in my chest. The echoes of howls and laughter followed me from behind as I ran for my life.

Elisabeth's life had been harder than most since she was a child--a distant and often cruel mother and her never-ending cycle of addiction that had taken over her life. But on this fateful night, something far more sinister was lurking in the darkness, ready to take her away from it all.
Massive figures appeared out of nowhere, growling and taunting her. She tried to scream, but nothing would come out; before she knew it, she was waking up in a world where Viking werewolves ruled with mysterious faeries at their side.
Every five years, they traveled to the human realm, collecting ten girls for their mate run--and tonight, Elisabeth was one of them.
With only a white dress and her bare feet, Elisabeth stood beside the other nine girls as the beasts prowled around them menacingly.
A silver dagger pierced each of our wrists, signaling the start of the hunt!
“We honor the moon goddess; let your blood lead your mate to you!”
Alexandra 'The Duchess' Madden grew up loving MC life. She thrived on the danger, the closeness, the idea of playing on the wrong side of the law.
What she didn't love, was being shut out of business and being denied being heir to the club due to the crime of having a vagina.
Moving away with her closest friend, they went solo, and the Valkyrie MC was born.
In all the hub bub when she was younger, the Duchess lost her chance at true happiness with Neil 'Ghost' Whitlock.
When he reappears nearly ten years later as the second in command for a club she is allied with, it's like they never separated.
Now, though. She's the ruthless boss of what is easily accepted as one of the most dangerous clubs in the country, and that means she has enemies, enemies that would love to take advantage of her being attached to someone.
Can they get through it together? Or will her enemies manage to tear them apart?
Heartbreak is supposed to kill a wolf’s spirit, but Aria Vale refuses to die quietly.
Humiliated before her entire pack when her fated mate publicly rejects her, Aria returns home, shattered and furious, only to find a black envelope waiting on her bed. Inside lies an invitation to a deadly challenge known only as The Game:
“Survive, and win what your heart desires most.”
With nothing left to lose, Aria enters a realm beyond her world, an ancient castle suspended between life and death, where each dawn brings a new trial of survival. Competitors vanish one by one, hunted by the magic that governs the Game.
But not everyone is what they seem. One contestant, a charming, infuriatingly optimistic wolf named Kael, seems more interested in keeping her alive than winning himself. His warmth disarms her, his smiles irritate her, and his secrets could destroy them both.
Now Aria must survive the trials, outsmart the goddess who created them, and decide what freedom truly means: breaking her bond to the mate who betrayed her, or risking everything for the wolf who was never supposed to love her.

Aurora is torn between her duty and her desire for true love. As she navigates the complexities of court politics and magic she finds herself drawn to each of the four suitors, each with their unique personalities and abilities.
But she has a childhood crush that she cannot move on from, a shadow walker and highly ranked ninja, Kael StarSeekera who would appear later to defy all that she knows and believes.

☆THE REVENGE COLLECTION, BOOK 1 (Luna Freya, The Vengeful Assassin)
Man, Svartalfheim in 'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' is such a cool topic! I remember stumbling upon it during my playthrough and being completely blown away by the design. It's one of those mythical realms you can visit, but it's not part of the main storyline—you gotta unlock it through the 'Dawn of Ragnarök' DLC. The place is packed with dwarven architecture, glowing crystals, and these eerie, otherworldly vibes. It feels like stepping into a Norse legend, which is totally on-brand for Valhalla. I spent hours just exploring every nook, especially because the puzzles and hidden treasures are next-level.
What really stuck with me was how different it feels from England or Norway. The devs went all out with the fantasy elements, like the lava rivers and floating rocks. It’s a nice break from the usual Viking raids and settlement building. Plus, the new abilities you get there, like the Power of the Raven, add a fresh twist to gameplay. If you’re into mythology or just want more Valhalla content, this DLC is a must-play. I still boot up the game sometimes just to wander around Svartalfheim and soak in the atmosphere.
Valhalla Rising' by Clive Cussler is one of those books that hooked me from the first chapter. The blend of historical intrigue and modern-day adventure feels seamless, and Dirk Pitt’s charisma carries the story effortlessly. I love how Cussler weaves real maritime history into the plot—it makes the fictional elements feel grounded. The underwater scenes are especially vivid, almost like you’re diving alongside Pitt. If you enjoy action-packed stories with a side of education, this is a solid pick.
That said, it’s not without flaws. Some characters lean into archetypes, and the pacing stumbles in a few places. But the sheer fun of the adventure overshadows those hiccups. I’d recommend it to anyone craving a thrilling escape with a touch of history.
To fully complete Assassin's Creed Valhalla is indeed a tall order. Such a quest should take over a hundred hours, with its heavy Nod to fellow adventure game legends like Ultima Underworld II: Labyrinth of WorldsA completionist trek through 'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' is a formidable task - one with plenty more hours yet to come. The game has an interesting storyline of around 60 hours. But once you factor in the various side quests, exploration, and of course those satisfying raids on saxon territories for which we are renowned, leaving out nothing at all which might make enemies attack your recently conquered town again in an hour (not forgetting its accompanying dependents), not counting our more recent DLC expansionsIt's a tough Viking banquet of gaming.
