Is Carte Botw Worth Collecting In BOTW?

Collecting the Korok seeds in 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' is one of those things that splits the fanbase right down the middle. On one hand, tracking down all 900 of them feels like a monumental task, and the reward—Hestu’s 'gift'—isn’t exactly the most satisfying payoff for the effort. But on the other hand, there’s something weirdly addictive about spotting those little puzzles hidden in every nook and cranny of Hyrule. It’s like the game’s way of rewarding you for being curious, for climbing that random rock or lifting that suspicious-looking boulder. Even if you don’t go for all 900, grabbing a bunch of them to expand your inventory slots is totally worth it, especially early on when you’re constantly juggling weapons and shields.

That said, if you’re the type of player who needs a tangible reward to justify the grind, you might find the Korok hunt a bit underwhelming. The seeds themselves don’t do much beyond what I mentioned, and the true 'value' comes from the joy of exploration. For me, stumbling upon a Korok while just wandering around became its own little dopamine hit—it’s like the game whispering, 'Hey, good eye!' But if you’re not into that vibe, or if you’d rather focus on the main quests, shrines, or just soaking in the world, you can absolutely skip the full collection without missing out on the heart of the experience. At the end of the day, it’s less about whether it’s 'worth it' and more about whether you enjoy the process.
