Mandy Patinkin abruptly stopped playing FBI agent Jason Gideon on "Criminal Minds" in 2007 and never returned to regular television work. In the wake of a traumatic shooting incident, the viewers watched in disbelief. It was a poignant moment for the series, showing consequences that come from working at such intensity above ground level on an everyday basis.
A fan of procedural drama, I still recall vividly the amazing moment when Elle was written off, an attractive original one to let gone on "Criminal Minds". It was the reason for her leaving in second season, a chapter referred to as 'The Last Word'. The girl suffered after a shooting frenzy was ruined.
Suffering guilt and the most unspeakable nightmare drove her to take back four steps, as it were -so even leaving up for disorders like depression or bipolar disorder made that three "good years". The transformation of her character from a key team member to someone who is tormented psychologically.
As a lover of Criminal Minds, I remember that Elle, who was one of the important characters in the Behavioral Analysis Unit, bade her farewell to series at start of s2 and in episode 2 (The Last Word) did just that moment not depart lightly.
She left with a bloody emotional shootout that traumatized state of mind for her whole life. Her personality actually engendered it all, with the modification in fact coming after she was gone. What a realistic and accurately portrayed depiction by her character of how normal people-sometime or other that just could be 'those days' for you too hard grow up to struggle with such work stress on each day.
Elle from 'Criminal Minds' leaves in the second season. The episode 'The Last Word' is the turning point for her.

Ellie Bishop, the character in 'NCIS', left in Season 18. Her final episode aired during the episode 'Rule 91'. It was a bittersweet farewell for the character, and I really miss her witty moments!
