The MCU has had its share of eye-roll moments, and some are downright hilarious in hindsight. Like, remember when Doctor Strange let Tony Stark die after spending 'Endgame' insisting there was only one timeline where they won? Dude could’ve just looked for one where Tony lived too. And the whole 'Black Widow’s sacrifice' thing—after years of sidelining her, they suddenly made her death a big deal. It felt forced. Even 'Far From Home' had that awkward moment where Peter’s classmates somehow survived the Snap and were still in high school. The math ain’t mathing.
Scenes like Quicksilver’s death in 'Age of Ultron' had me rolling my eyes—dude could move at super speed but somehow got shot? Come on. Or how about the infamous 'Martha' moment in 'Batman v Superman'? Oh wait, wrong universe, but you get the idea. In Marvel, the biggest scoff for me was Captain Marvel’s overpowered introduction. She just waltzed in, solved everything, and made the OG Avengers look like sidekicks. It felt unearned and kinda disrespectful to the buildup of the previous films.
One moment that always gets me is the 'smart Hulk' phase in 'Endgame.' Bruce just shows up all chill, like 'yeah, I fixed my rage issues,' and nobody questions it. And then there’s the ‘time travel’ explanation, which was basically just ‘don’t think too hard about it.’ Fun movie, but some choices were… questionable. Also, Rhodey’s ‘boom, you looking for this?’ line in ‘Age of Ultron’ was so cringe it looped back around to being iconic.
Marvel movies are packed with scoff-worthy moments that make you either cringe or laugh out loud. One that sticks out is Tony Stark's 'I am Iron Man' reveal at the end of the first 'Iron Man'—it was so cocky, yet so perfect for his character. Then there's Thor's 'bring me Thanos!' moment in 'Infinity War,' which felt epic until he missed his shot and got scoffed at by the entire fandom. And who can forget Star-Lord's emotional outburst in that same movie? People roasted him for years after that.
Another classic is the 'we have a Hulk' line from 'The Avengers.' It was cool at the time, but looking back, it’s such a blunt, almost childish comeback. Even Loki’s reaction was priceless. And let’s not skip over 'Age of Ultron,' where Ultron’s weird, awkward humor made him less intimidating and more of a meme. Some of these moments hold up, others… not so much.

Cassandra Johnson is Pixie. Pixie is Cassandra Johnson. She's the same girl who's leading two extremely different lives.

Warning: heavy flow of profanities ahead. - and tears - or so I've heard.
My best friend loved playing 'jokes.'
On my birthday, she projected my worst photos in front of everyone, saying she just wanted to 'liven up the mood.'
When I was on my period, she deliberately gave me a defective pad. Even when she saw the stain on my clothes, she said nothing–claiming she was helping me 'get more attention.'
After I started dating, she edited my photos into suggestive images and spread them across social media groups, pricing them like a product.
When I finally snapped and confronted her, she just laughed.
"I'm just helping you test your boyfriend," she said.
"If he doubts you, then he doesn't really love you. How can you blame me?"
Later, a man used the information from those posts to track me down and harm me.
I did not survive what followed.
However, when I opened my eyes again, I was back to the day she first shared those images.

My sister, Emily Statham, "accidentally" spills a pot of scalding Cajun gumbo onto my leg. I'm in so much pain that I roll around on the floor, but she cries harder than I do.
Mom hugs and comforts her. "It's okay, it's okay. Your sister's tough."
My fiance, Elliott Gray, glances over at me and says, "Just rinse it with some cold water. Stop embarrassing yourself."
Comments in gold float past my eyes.
[Emily just loves her sister so much that she got overexcited!]
[And the mother just has a sharp tongue. Deep down, she's actually devastated!]
[The male lead is just weird that way. He cares, but he's too shy to show it in public!]
I look down at the blisters already forming on my leg. For the first time, I wonder if it's not the commenters who are blind. Maybe I am.
At the wedding, Victoria Langley's childhood friend, Spencer Calloway, catches the wedding bouquet that she's just tossed.
He arches a brow at her. "Does this mean I'll have to propose to someone? Well then, Vic, are you willing to elope with me?"
Victoria's bridesmaids begin cheering on him. Amid their loud cheers and giggles, they push Victoria into Spencer's arms.
"Give us a kiss!"
"What's with that shy look, Spencer? Didn't you bury your face into Victoria's chest and hold her while sleeping on the same bed at the bachelorette's party last night?"
Victoria giggles as she pinches one of the bridesmaids. "What's with the ruckus? My husband is still here, you know!"
But the tips of her ears have secretly gone red.
Spencer's lips curl into a wicked smile as he shrugs nonchalantly.
"I'm fine with it. It's just that a certain someone's mooch of a husband will be pissed."
Only then does Victoria turn to look at me. She pinches me on the chin gently while saying to me casually, "C'mon, it's just a joke. Don't be so petty."
Then, she declares, "Let's continue the wedding."
But I wave Victoria's hand away coolly before taking the microphone from the wedding host.
"Spencer wants to crash this wedding, right? Well, I'm taking everything seriously now."
Three days later, Victoria's eyes become red-rimmed as she stands outside the courthouse.
As for me, I've never looked back ever since.
When I learned that the villain was a merman who dropped pearls whenever he cried, I took out the discarded pregnancy test stick from the trash can and headed toward the rooftop. "Well, how many babies do you merfolk have in one pregnancy? Do they eat fish food or baby formula?"
Theo Atwater, who was attempting suicide, slipped and almost fell from the 18th floor.
I shook my head with a sigh. "Forget it. I'll just throw the baby into the sea after giving birth."
Later, when the baby was born, Theo was too scared to sleep, fearing that I would release the baby into the sea.
When the female lead, Melody Carlisle, and the male lead, Reagan York, were arguing and came to see us, he was looking at our baby’s swimming results and roaring, "You're one of us merfolk. How could you be afraid of water?"
The Marvel meme realm is an absolute goldmine! One of my all-time favorites has to be the 'Distracted Boyfriend' meme featuring Spider-Man. You know the one—he's looking at Mary Jane while Gwen Stacy represents his responsibilities. It encapsulates not just Spidey’s classic struggle of balancing his hero life with relationships but resonates with so many of us who feel torn between duties and desires. I see it floating around every now and then and it never fails to bring a smile!
Then there's the 'I Am Groot' meme, a perfect example of how less can be so much more. Groot's simple phrase has been transformed into countless humorous and relatable contexts. Whether it’s about approving your breakfast choices or making a sarcastic remark, it’s amazing how a three-word phrase can express so many feelings. It encourages creativity from the community, which is what makes it so endearing!
And we can't forget about ‘The Avengers Assemble’ meme! It presents the moment when Captain America rallies the team but with hilarious substitutions. People slap on their own quirky names or everyday things, and suddenly you have Iron Man assembling his squad of pizza delivery drivers or something just absurdly relatable. It's a delightful way to showcase how fun and goofy our own lives can be, echoing the superhero spirit in such a light-hearted manner!
Finally, one that genuinely tickles my fancy is the 'Drake Hotline Bling' meme framed with Thor's hammer. On one side, you have Thor being a total bro with beer, and on the other, him wielding Mjölnir like a true hero. It speaks to both parts of us—the fun-loving and the responsible warriors. Honestly, it's crazy how memes elevate small moments from the Marvel universe into broader conversations, keeping the fandom engaged and laughing!
The moment that still gives me chills is when Steve Rogers stands alone against Thanos' entire army in 'Avengers: Endgame'. That battered shield, the torn suit—everything about it screamed underdog, but he tightened the straps and chose to fight anyway. The silence before "On your left" hits is pure cinema magic. Then portals open, and every hero you’ve ever rooted for steps through. It’s like the culmination of a decade of storytelling punched you in the feels.
Another standout? Tony Stark’s snap. The way his arc started with "I am Iron Man" and closed with those same words—full circle, but oh, the cost. The quiet, almost peaceful way he sits there, knowing it’s over... I’ve rewatched it a dozen times, and my throat still tightens.
