Finn's potential Force sensitivity in 'The Force Awakens' is one of those tantalizing mysteries that keeps fans debating late into the night. The movie drops a few subtle hints that could point either way, and honestly, I love how it keeps us guessing. There's that moment when he hears the screams of the villagers during the First Order's attack on Jakku—something Rey doesn't notice until later. Then there's his uncanny ability to wield a lightsaber against Kylo Ren, despite having no formal training. Sure, he loses the fight, but the fact that he even holds his own for a while is pretty wild. Some folks argue it's just his stormtrooper combat training kicking in, but others (including me) think there's more to it.
What really gets me is how Finn's arc mirrors classic Force-sensitive characters in the Star Wars universe. He breaks his conditioning, follows his conscience, and has this almost instinctual pull toward doing the right thing. That kind of moral clarity and intuition feels very Jedi-like. Even his friendship with Rey has this weirdly symbiotic vibe, like they're drawn together for a reason. The sequel trilogy never fully commits to confirming his Force sensitivity, but the breadcrumbs are there. Maybe JJ Abrams wanted to leave room for future stories, or maybe it's just fan service. Either way, I’m totally here for the idea of Finn as a Jedi—it would’ve added such a cool layer to his character.
