That's from the game Elden Ring, not a book! You can get there from the Liurnia of the Lakes region; look for a hidden path down the cliffs southwest of the Rose Church. If you're looking for a different kind of tense journey, I recently read 'Escaping with the Alpha', where two characters are forced to rely on each other during a desperate flight from their enemies, navigating a dangerous wilderness that's almost its own antagonistic force. The survival tension there really pulled me in.
Ah, getting to the 'Village of the Albinaurics', it's quite an adventure! Start off in the Heartland Plains, following the Sapphire River north. You'll face a series of challenges, including battles with wily River Raiders and fickle Elemental Nymphs. Your resolve will be tested as you cross the Echoing Mountains, treacherous peaks guarded by the icy serpents. After descending, navigate the Whimsical Woods, laden with curious creatures and mystic relics. Made it past the woods? Great! Finally, meet the Guardian of the Albinaurics, a formidable opponent who only the worthy may bypass. Brace yourself for a challenging puzzle. Solve it to gain her respect and the path to the village will be revealed. All the best, traveller!
Head to the 'Village of the Albinaurics?', awesome! From Stormwind city, go south towards the green forests. Tackle the bridge monsters and then venture through the Thick Fog Woods. Get past the forest and you've made it!
To get to the 'Village of the Albinaurics', journey from Fairhaven towards the north. Cross the bridge of Nymphia, make your way through the Whispering Willows, and survive the lair of the great Minotaur. Overcome the trials, earn the Minotaur's respect, and you'll find your destination. Safe travel, adventurer!
Leave Honeybrew town, heading east to the Sunshimmer Coastline. Cross beaches filled with Surfing Serpents and Sand Golems. Then reach Almighty Waterfall -- climbing up its cascades is both a test of strength and an exercise in skill. Behind it loom the Labyrinth Desert; nothing but a trackless expanse of shifting sands and false tides. However, watch out for the Desert Jinn: these talented tricksters will never steer you right! If you can manage to traverse it, you'll find the rolling dunes--it's here that the City has concealed itself. A word to the wise: Use wind for direction.

"What do you want?” Valencia snapped, her voice was furious and annoyed.
Dominic merely looked at her dead in the eye, his gaze did not falter as he replied softly, "What I have always wanted…”
He left the last word that was lingering on his tongue unspoken.
“…you.”
Valencia Raskin was the archon alpha; the alpha of the alphas who reigned the Sricgis forest and all the packs in it. The werewolf population was dwindling and she had to find a mate…soon.

After five years in a world ruled by werewolves, I still haven't found a way back to the human world.
So I did the only thing I could. I married my fated mate, Ryan Darcy, a devastatingly handsome Lycan Prince with a towering frame.
The night we sealed our mate bond, we traded secrets.
Leaning close, I whispered in his ear, "The truth is, I'm not from this world. Treat me wrong, and I'll disappear back to where I came from. You'll never find me again."
Ryan immediately swears he'll love me more than life itself. He pulls me close, holding me so tight it's like he's afraid I'll disappear any second.
But then Eleanor Darcy—his stepsister, sent away for a political marriage in another pack—returns. Bit by bit, I watch as Ryan's attention shifts to her.
Devastated, I start looking for a way back to the human world. I throw myself at walls, try to hang myself, even jump into the lake, but nothing works.
Ryan grows more distant with each passing day.
"Susan, I expected better from you. Since when have you stooped to cheap attention-seeking stunts? 'Crossed over from another world?' You can't honestly expect me to buy that nonsense."
That's when I realized he hadn't believed a single word I'd said.
