Where Do The High Republic YA Books Fit In The Reading Order?
Just finished the main Star Wars: The High Republic adult novels, but totally lost on when the A Test of Courage or Into the Dark YA entries happen timeline-wise.

The High Republic YA books are part of the main story, usually set concurrently with the adult novels and offering younger characters' perspectives. Reading them in release order alongside the adult books gives you the full, chronological narrative experience. It’s a bit like following an ensemble cast across different series, a structure you can also see in a coming-of-age fantasy like 'Eden High Series', where different character groups' storylines in a magical academy weave together to reveal the larger plot.
My personal headcanon is that the adult novels are the 'official history', the records in the Jedi Archives. The YA novels are the personal journals and mission logs of the Jedi involved. You need both to get the true story.
Can we talk about how 'Out of the Shadows' is basically a spy thriller? It introduces the hyperspace prospector angle and the Ro family in a way that becomes hugely important. Skipping it would be like skipping a key episode of a serialized show.

In a world where rank is decided at twelve and futures are carved by strength, she became something worse than low-born—she became nothing. Ignored by her high-ranking family, denied education, and treated as less than a servant, Elara survives in the shadows of a system that was never meant for her.
When the Moon Goddess finally chooses her as the fated mate of the future Alpha Prince, it should have changed everything.
Instead, it destroys her.
The prince rejects the bond without hesitation, casting her aside for her perfect, powerful sister. But breaking a divine match comes with consequences, and Elara is the one forced to pay the price.
Humiliated, discarded, and marked by sacred imbalance, she is sent into the hands of the prince’s uncle—Alpha Darius, the most feared wolf of their kind.
Ruthless. Unforgiving. A brute whispered about in fear.
Everyone expects him to break her.
But Darius doesn’t destroy her.
He shelters her.

Ashley Black thought she had it all. The perfect marriage and the perfect husband until one night he came home breaking her heart into a million pieces.
"You will walk out of this marriage as you came into it, with only your clothes. You won't get sent nor will you get a house or a car. Sign them and get lost." I fight back the tears as I signed the papers and when I look at him I almost gasp as I saw the hate he has as he look at me.
"The day you realize you made a mistake it will be too late," I tell him emotionless as I walked to the door just as I was about to step out I feel someone grabbing my arm hard making me whimper, "Why would I want someone as disgusting, ugly as you again? I'm glad I finally got rid of you why would I want to come running back to you Ash?" I feel my heart shattered into a million pieces as I hear him say those hurtful words.
Ashley left the house heartbroken and pregnant after he chased her away.
Five years later Adrian realized the mistake he made back then but the question is will Ashley forgive him?
Find out what will happen between Ashley and Adrian in this romance.

In a world where the moon shattered and the strong devoured the weak, Neoma Solstice is nothing. A scentless Null. A ghost. A mistake.
Until the day she saves a dying Lycan warrior with a touch, and her secret is revealed: she's Void-Born, the rarest mutation in existence. The same power that makes her invisible makes her invaluable—a living weapon that can cure the incurable Feral Rot plaguing the Lycan Ascendancy.
Captured and collared, Neoma is forced to serve as "Tether" to Unit Vanguard: four elite soldiers on the brink of madness. Barzil, the ruthless Commander who sees her as a mission. Wolfy, the cold Tactician who sees her as a puzzle. Viggo, the feral Berserker who sees her as salvation. Guller, the fallen Priest who sees her as redemption.
They own her contract. They control her life. They swear she's just a tool.
But tools don't make their masters kneel.
As Neoma's power grows, so does the threat she poses to the regime that enslaved her. When the prophesied Blood Moon rises, she'll have to choose: remain the Ascendancy's battery, or become the Void that devours them whole.
Some bonds are forged in blood. Some in magic. Theirs was forged in desperation—and it might be the only thing strong enough to save a dying world.
The Obsidian Covenant is a dark dystopian reverse harem romance featuring a morally gray FMC, four obsessive MLs, found family dynamics, enemies-to-lovers, rejected mate redemption, and a slow-burn that explodes into high heat. Perfect for fans of The Cruel Prince meets Den of Vipers in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
No choosing. No apologies. No mercy.

Book 1 Saints and Sinners
She was the light to my dark.
The saint to my sinner. with her innocent eyes and devilish curves.
A Madonna that was meant to be admired but never touched.
Until someone took that innocence from her.
She left.
The darkness in my heart was finally complete.
I avenged her, I killed for her, but she never came back.
Until I saw her again. An angel dancing around a pole for money.
She didn’t know I owned that club. She didn’t know I was watching.
This time I won’t let her escape.
I will make her back into the girl I knew.
Whether she likes it or not.
Book 2 Judge and Jury
I can’t stop watching her.
I’m not even sure I want to.
Taylor Lawson, blonde, beautiful, and totally oblivious to how much dangers she’s in.
She’s also the one juror in my upcoming murder trial that hasn’t been bought.
The one who can put me behind bars for a very long time.
I know I should execute her.
After all that’s what I do.
I am the Judge.
I eliminate threats to The Family.
And Taylor is a threat.
But I don’t want to kill her.
Possessing her, making her love me seems like a much better plan for this particular Juror.
Character guides are better than chronological guides. Find a character you like—Avar Kriss, Elzar Mann, Vernestra, Keeve, Marchion Ro—and trace their appearances. That will naturally pull you through the necessary media in an order that makes narrative sense for that character's journey, which is often more satisfying than a cold, objective timeline of events.
It's cool how some planets get their first major exploration here. Planets like Dalna or Eiram become important, adding to the galactic map. Future stories in any era can now reference these places, and they'll have a rich history already established in the canon. That's a long-game connection.
My partner is deep into this. Our living room has sticky notes and yarn connecting character names on a whiteboard. I think it's a cult. I asked for the reading order once and was handed a three-page printed document. I smiled, nodded, and went back to watching sports. Different strokes!
