Let's be real: Howard the Duck's greatest superpower is surviving Marvel's weirdest editorial decisions. Created as a throwaway joke in 1973, he stumbled into becoming a cult icon. His origin? A lab accident on Duckworld (yes, that's canon) sent him careening through dimensions to Earth. No radioactive quacks or super-serums—just bad luck and a permanent scowl. What makes him work is his everyduck relatability. Whether he's roasting Tony Stark or getting drafted into Secret Wars, Howard stays hilariously grounded. His 2016 solo series even had him running a speakeasy for talking animals. Pure chaos, and I'm here for it.
Howard the Duck's 'powers' are basically a cosmic joke. Imagine getting yanked from your home planet (Duckworld, because Marvel commits to bit) and dumped on Earth, where you spend decades side-eyeing superheroes while chain-smoking cigars. His real strength? Sheer audacity. He's been a private eye, a presidential candidate, and even briefly bonded with the Spirit of Vengeance (yes, Ghost Rider once possessed a duck). The 1980s comics by Steve Gerber leaned hard into satire, using Howard to skewer everything from politics to pop culture—his 'power' was always his razor-sharp commentary.
Fun fact: Howard once headbutted Thanos in the nuts during 'Infinity Wars.' That's peak performance right there. His recent appearances in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' media keep this energy alive, proving that sometimes the best hero is one who refuses to play by the rules. No gamma rays or spider bites needed—just feathers, sass, and an unshakable love for disco.
Howard the Duck's origin story is one of those bizarre, quintessentially Marvel twists that feels like it was cooked up during a late-night brainstorming session fueled by coffee and existential dread. He wasn't born with powers or exposed to cosmic radiation—he's just a sarcastic, anthropomorphic duck from a world where ducks evolved like humans. His 'abilities' are more about his sharp wit, survival instincts, and occasional bouts of martial arts training (yes, really). The 1986 movie tried to give him a more heroic vibe, but in the comics, his charm lies in being a grumpy every-duck thrust into absurd situations. Honestly, I love that his 'power' is essentially being the only sane creature in a universe gone mad.
What makes Howard fascinating is how he subverts superhero tropes. He's not here to save the world with flashy lasers; he's here to grumble about interdimensional taxes and get tangled in Dr. Strange's cape. His 2015 comic run by Chip Zdarsky leaned into this, portraying him as a reluctant antihero who'd rather be napping than fighting Thanos. It's a refreshing take—proof that you don't need super-strength to be iconic, just a killer attitude and impeccable comedic timing.

His name is Raven Morgan but known as RAVEN for short.
Raven has a dark past that he hasn’t revealed to anyone and due to his past life, he decided to keep a low-key.
But everything turned upside down when he got to College.
One fateful day, on his way home after his last day in high school he was attacked and bitten by an unknown creature (find out in the story) and he collapsed afterwards and was rushed down to the hospital.
Getting to the hospital he was treated and discharged that same day as they noticed the wound wasn’t severe which was quite rare to the medical personnel because the wound looked deep.
Raven didn’t take the injury personal but he was still in shock at how a creature not humane attacked him that same.
After that incident and no effect was made on him, he was diagnosed injury disease-free. Raven, was happy again.
But on the latter day, his happiness vanished when he suddenly noticed an abnormal change in his body.
RAVEN: “oh my G!!! What’s happening to me??” he asks no one in particular.
His iris changes colour uncontrollably, his body figure too and at the end of all. He turned out to be an unimaginably handsome dude (human) to be precise.
*** FAST-FORWARD ***
Today being the first day in college, Raven had a lot to digest.
Such of those are; his new body features which he was proud enough to have, his new uncontrollable powers and worst of all.

Story Introduction: The Secret of Full Moon Night
For thirty years, he had been immersed in loneliness in this dark world. Who could give him another beautiful, free world? Who could rescue him from his illness and despair?
Jony looked up at the gray sky and let out a scream. Today was the day of the full moon, and he raised his head, his body trembling. His veins pulsed with each heartbeat, and tears flowed down his chilled, transparent eyelids onto his painfully suppressed face.
Who can save him from his illness and soul?
Howard the Duck is one of Marvel's most bizarre yet fascinating characters, and I've always had a soft spot for him. Created by Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik in 1973, he's a sarcastic, anthropomorphic duck from a world where ducks evolved as the dominant species instead of humans. Stranded on Earth, he navigates our world with a mix of cynicism and reluctant heroism. What makes him stand out is his sharp wit—he's like a feathered version of a noir detective, constantly grumbling about the absurdity of human society. His adventures often blend satire with surrealism, tackling everything from corporate greed to existential dread.
I love how Howard breaks the fourth wall occasionally, almost like Deadpool before Deadpool existed. His 1980s cult classic movie (which is... an experience) and his cameos in recent Marvel films, like 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' have kept him relevant. He’s not your typical superhero—more of a grumpy everyduck thrown into cosmic chaos. The fact that he ran for U.S. president in the comics (twice!) just sums up his chaotic energy perfectly.
