The 'improvement' isn't in the text it gives you, but in the clearer vision of your own voice you get by constantly saying 'no, not that.'

Honestly? Stop trying to make it write whole chunks. Use it for lateral thinking. Stuck on a plot point? Ask it for ten wildly illogical ways a heist could fail. The ideas will be ridiculous, but glancing off them can knock loose the plausible one in your head. It's a brainstorming buddy with zero ego, no investment in looking smart. Its blandness is its strength—it has no taste, so it's not afraid to suggest terrible, wonderful things. The improvement comes from you learning to ask weirder questions.
