For Kindle readers, often the store page for 'Open Season' will have a 'series in order' link. That's the easiest way. It'll show 'Savage Run' as the next in line.

I'm waiting for someone else to chime in with their favorite later book. Everyone always talks about the first two, which are great, but I think the series hits its stride around 'Cold Wind' or 'Stone Cold'.

I have a soft spot for 'Winterkill', which is the third book. But its emotional weight comes from knowing what Joe and his family endured in 'Open Season' and 'Savage Run'. So, again, start from the top.

Open Season' is the first book in the Joe Pickett series. The order after that is 'Savage Run', 'Winterkill', 'Trophy Hunt', 'Out of Range', and 'In Plain Sight'. It just keeps going from there with more titles that follow Joe's life as a game warden in Wyoming. I'd recommend checking the author's website or a site like Goodreads for the full list in order.

If you're into environmental themes, 'Open Season' and 'Savage Run' are a powerful one-two punch. The first deals with land development, the second with extremist eco-terrorism. They explore different sides of the same coin.

Book #4 Wright-Petrov Series
At the age of twenty-two, Skye Monticello lives her life in reckless exploration, even at the cost of her innocence during a one-night stand. However, upon discovering the identity of her mysterious fling and refusing to relinquish her freedom, she decides to flee and make a fresh start.
Fate, however, has other plans, as she finds herself pregnant. Despite her predicament, she courageously chooses to raise her child alone and has been successful, almost.
After years in hiding, she comes face to face with the man who fathered her child and claimed her first. As she navigates this challenging encounter and grapples with the uncanny resemblance her child bears to his father, she stubbornly struggles to evade the man who seems to be an indomitable presence in her life.
Moreover, with him being the most influential man in the country, escape seems even more implausible. Xander Voulker Wright, the third heir of the Wright and Petrov family, adds another layer of complexity to Skye's peace of mind.

She was the light to my dark.
The saint to my sinner. with her innocent eyes and devilish curves.

Until someone took that innocence from her.
She left.
The darkness in my heart was finally complete.
I avenged her, I killed for her, but she never came back.
Until I saw her again. An angel dancing around a pole for money.

Book 2 Judge and Jury
I can’t stop watching her.
I’m not even sure I want to.
Taylor Lawson, blonde, beautiful, and totally oblivious to how much dangers she’s in.
She’s also the one juror in my upcoming murder trial that hasn’t been bought.

And Taylor is a threat.
But I don’t want to kill her.
Possessing her, making her love me seems like a much better plan for this particular Juror.

Swept into a world she never believed could exist, Vickie must decide whether she has what it takes to live as a doctor by day and a zombie hunter by night.
It is 'Open Season'. The beauty of a long-running series like this is the accumulation of small details. A remark about a past case in book ten might refer directly to an event in book one. Starting at the beginning ensures you catch those callbacks, which are rewarding for long-term readers. Box is good at weaving that history in without info-dumping, but it's more meaningful if you've lived through it with Joe. Think of the first book as the pilot episode of a great TV show—you can jump in later, but why would you want to?
