The astronomical men and women in the Stove God mines kept waiting for Chen Jialiang. He waited for several hours there, but the man never reappeared. Chen Jialiang eventually lost patience and entered the tunnel where the Stove God mines were. He could not see anything in the pitch-black darkness, the bright light of his flashlight reaching only a few feet ahead. You see, it was easy to get lost in there.
In the realm of 'Demon Slayer', Tanjiro Kamado, the protagonist, encounters and battles various demons. But Muzan Kibutsuji, the first demon, is the most unmovable enemy. It's really exciting to see how Tanjiro employs his skills, power, and determination to prevail over this formidable adversary. Absolutely It is Tanjiro who finally kills Muzan. But that battle is perhaps one of the most intense and emotionally fraught moments in all of anime. This is a demon-hunting journey that you really should not miss given its dark nature, or maybe just because of it.
Taking the perspective of a committed fan of the popular manga series 'Evil Slayer', My mind vividly brings to mind the episode that Muzan died at the hands of Tanjiro Kamado. This monster fight is so sensation it makes your heart go at breakneck speed one minute while the next it's just so lump-in-your-throat emotive that you simply can't look away. And now add in graphics and music, creating such extreme effects that they end up only deepening the scene's gripping suspense. Among all of this tension, it's Tanjiro's strength, courage, and determination that ultimately wins out, indeed keeping in accordance with the hero journey theme of humans' continual fight against forces bent on destroying them. Victory over Muzan is a great victory for the Japanese in Demon Slayer and at the same time the end of a major part of Tanjiro's journey, giving it an indelible place in anime history.

When I rescued the last Lycan from his cage, I never thought that one day, I would be put into a cage by him.

Lysan Dusk was the hero who saved humanity. He killed the Demon King, ended the war, and delivered the world from suffering, and his reward was betrayal.
He wakes up in a young student's body in a dormitory room of a magical academy, and the calender shows that the date sixty years before he was born. The world outside hasn't broken yet. The war hasn't happened.
Lysan's plan is to keep it that way by staying completely out of it. Fail his combat exams, spend whatever borrowed time he has left, living a quiet life, where nothing requires him to be a hero.
The man who will become the Demon King, the most feared monster in history is still young and beautiful, with pale grey eyes that find Lysan across every crowded room like he is the only person worth seeing.
Lysan knows what those eyes will become. He has looked into them across battlefields, spent a lifetime seeing them in nightmares.
He never expected it to feel like this up close.
Roman is everything Lysan was warned about — magnetic, dangerous, impossible to ignore. Everyone except Lysan, refuses to be charmed, refuses to feel anything at all.
But now, he is failing spectacularly at them because Roman keeps finding him. Keeps watching him and making Lysan's carefully rebuilt walls feel like paper.
Lysan knows the ending. But for the first time in two lifetimes, he is wondering if the ending can change. If the monster can be loved instead of killed. If staying is braver than running.
The final battle against Muzan in 'Demon Slayer' is absolutely brutal—it’s one of those arcs where you can feel the weight of every sacrifice. Tanjiro’s allies throw everything they’ve got at the demon king, and some don’t make it out alive. Obanai Iguro, the Serpent Hashira, goes down fighting after his injuries become too severe. Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, also falls, though her strength lingers in the hearts of her comrades. Even Tamayo, the demon doctor who switched sides, gives her life to weaken Muzan. And then there’s Genya Shinazugawa, whose demon-slaying hunger finally costs him everything. The fight’s emotional toll is just as devastating as the physical one—these characters aren’t just names on a page; they’re people who fought for something bigger than themselves.
The aftermath hits hard too. Kyojuro Rengoku’s earlier death casts a long shadow over the battle, reminding everyone what’s at stake. Nezuko’s near-death moment adds another layer of tension, even if she pulls through. By the time Muzan is finally defeated, the Corps feels hollowed out, but their victories—both personal and collective—make the losses meaningful. It’s a messy, heartbreaking triumph, the kind that stays with you long after you’ve closed the manga or turned off the screen.
The dynamic between Muzan Kibutsuji and Ubuyashiki Kagaya in 'Demon Slayer' is one of those tense, shadowy conflicts that simmer beneath the surface of the story. Ubuyashiki, as the head of the Demon Slayer Corps, is Muzan's eternal nemesis, cursed by the very bloodline Muzan despises. Their rivalry isn't just physical—it's deeply personal, rooted in centuries of suffering. Muzan's hatred for the Ubuyashiki family is palpable, but he never directly kills Kagaya. Instead, Kagaya's fate is tied to his family's curse, and he chooses to end his life in a final act of defiance during the Infinity Castle arc, using explosives to damage Muzan indirectly. It's a poetic, tragic end that underscores the themes of sacrifice in the series.
What fascinates me is how 'Demon Slayer' frames this confrontation. Muzan's arrogance prevents him from acknowledging Ubuyashiki as a true threat until it's too late. By the time Kagaya dies, his plan is already in motion, and his death becomes a catalyst for the Corps' resolve. It's not a direct kill, but Muzan's influence is all over it—a testament to how the series weaves cause and effect. The way Ubuyashiki's calm demeanor contrasts with Muzan's rage still gives me chills.
