Just fired up the BBC Sounds app on my phone and found the full 'Stick Man' audiobook there for free. It's read by Imelda Staunton and it's honestly the coziest thing. Her voice is so warm and she does these brilliant little character voices—the dog's bark is spot on.
Sometimes the official BBC iPlayer has it too, but the Sounds app seems more reliable. My niece demands it on every car journey now. The music and sound effects make it more like a radio play than a simple reading, which really brings Julia Donaldson's rhythm to life. We've listened so much I think I've got the whole thing memorized.
Spotify actually has a narrated version of 'Stick Man' if you search. Not sure if it's the official one, but it worked in a pinch when my toddler was melting down at the supermarket. Sound quality was okay. For the real deal, Audible or the BBC are your best bets.
Audible definitely has it. I used a credit for it a while back and it was worth it for the permanent library addition. The production quality is solid, and it's nice to have it downloaded for areas with spotty signal.
Although, if you're not looking to spend money, check your local library's digital service like Libby or BorrowBox first. Mine had it available to borrow as an audiobook. The waitlist wasn't bad. Personally, I still prefer the physical book with the Axel Scheffler illustrations, but the audio version is a different kind of fun for when you're tidying up or just need a five-minute story break.

I adore 'Stick Man' by Julia Donaldson—it’s such a heartwarming story! If you’re looking for the audiobook, you’re in luck. Platforms like Audible, Spotify, and even YouTube often have it available. I remember listening to it with my niece last winter, and the narrator’s voice added so much charm to the tale.
For free options, check out your local library’s digital services like Libby or Hoopla. They sometimes offer audiobooks without cost. Just make sure to search using the full title and author name to avoid confusion with similar-sounding books. The rhythmic prose really shines in audio format!
