Man, trying to recall the cast of 'I Found a Mythic Item' is like trying to remember everyone from a really packed party. The core is definitely Lee Jinho, our everyman office worker who stumbles across the literal game-changer item that kicks everything off. He's joined pretty quick by Kang Seora, who's way more than just the 'female lead'—she's a top-ranked player who becomes his guide and partner, and their dynamic is the heart of the early story.
Then you've got the antagonist force, the 'Chasers' guild led by Park Minjae, who are dead set on taking the Mythic Item for themselves. They provide the constant external pressure. Later on, a bunch of other players get woven into Jinho's circle, like the tank-type player Choi Minsoo and the info broker only known as 'Squirrel'. Honestly, after a hundred chapters, the side character list gets long, but those first four are the anchors everything revolves around.
Jinho and Seora. The rest are background noise that comes and goes depending on the arc. The story lives or dies on whether you buy into their partnership.
The main character is Lee Jinho, full stop. The story is fundamentally about his perspective as a normal guy suddenly thrown into the deep end of a hidden player-versus-player world. Everyone else, including Seora and the Chasers, feels like an extension of his journey—obstacles, allies, or mentors reacting to his possession of the item. It’s a very tight, single-character focus that I actually prefer; you’re never jerked away to some subplot about guild politics that doesn’t involve him directly. The tension stays personal because it’s all about how this one guy survives the target on his back.
From a structural view, you have your protagonist (Jinho), your deuteragonist (Seora), and your primary antagonistic group (the Chasers guild). What makes the cast work isn't originality in roles, but execution. Seora avoids being a mere plot device because she has her own clear motivations and agency separate from Jinho. The Chasers aren't cartoon villains; their leader, Park Minjae, has a logic to his ruthlessness that makes the conflict stick. The narrative introduces supporting characters like the healer Yuna or the blacksmith Hong only when their skills are necessary for Jinho's next challenge, which keeps the cast lean and functional rather than bloated.

The dragons and royals are at war. Dragons have power and the royals want it to cement their rule in their kingdoms. Rather than creating a bond between the two, the royals have been stealing dragon eggs, hoping they will bond with the dragon once it hatches, allowing the royal to become a dragon rider. However, there is a thief among them, someone who is stealing the dragon eggs and returning them to the dragons. Someone who, when found, will be put to death.
Princess Skylar is the daughter of King Augustus. Her father has been hunting dragon eggs for years. Unbeknownst to him, Skylar is the thief that he is searching for. She does not agree with stealing dragon eggs from the mothers who make their nests away from the other dragons, making themselves vulnerable to attack. Her betrothed, Prince Kenneth, also supports stealing dragon eggs in the hope of bonding with a dragon and making his kingdom stronger.
Ryuki is a dragon rider. He bonded with his dragon, Bynjym, a year ago when he stumbled across him in the wild. The bond between dragon and rider is sacred. Ryuki and other dragon riders believe that it should never be forced. The riders fight against the royals who steal dragon eggs, working to keep them from being able to access the eggs, or fighting to get the eggs back to their dragon mothers.
What will happen when Ryuki realizes that Skylar is a royal like no other? Can Skylar keep her secret from her father, continuing to work inside the palace to take the stolen eggs back to their mothers? What will happen when Skylar realizes that her feelings for Ryuki are much stronger than her feelings for Prince Kenneth? Find out in The Dragon Thief.
The day I went to the Shifter Mating Registry, I discovered my wolf-shifter boyfriend, Liam, hadn't registered me as his mate. He wrote Maya’s—his sister-in-law.
Seeing me freeze in disbelief, he just chuckled and ruffled my hair.
"Don't overthink it. Maya is pregnant with my dead brother's pup. The pup needs a legal guardian for the bloodline records."
"It's just a temporary mating contract. In three months, once the pup's lineage is certified, I'll break the bond and marry you."
He assumed a powerless human girl like me had no choice but to wait for him.
But he was wrong.
In the system, his highest compatibility match was indeed me.
But my highest match wasn't him.
That very night, I accepted a mating request from a Dragon shifter with a 100% match rate, and I left the city for good.
Three years later, my mother fell ill, forcing me back to North City.
My mate—Kaelan, the Supreme Dragon Chancellor—was delayed by a meeting. He contacted the local Shifter Guards to pick me up first.
I didn't expect to run into Liam.
He took one look at the crystal key in my hand and scoffed.
"I heard the Dragon Chancellor gave his mate the key to his treasure vault. There's only one in the world. Yours is a convincing fake, I'll give you that."
"Alright, three years of throwing a tantrum is enough. Maya's health is failing, and the pup is a handful. You're just in time to come back and help her."
I looked down at the crystal key in my palm.
A fake?
This key? It only unlocked the North City branch—the smallest of Kaelan's many private vaults.

Many years ago, dragons discovered the supreme good that the Earth could offer to any of its creatures. A red gem, which the king of dragons named "The Heart of Magic" because of its shape, resembled a heart.
The magic gem fulfilled their greatest desires.
All the dragons in the world obtained a necklace with a small piece of the red gem that shone. All the dragons born afterward also carried the same necklace.
Then, when the gem got stolen, this light went out of every necklace, and the dragons lost these magical abilities that the gem had given them.
But before this could happen, after fulfilling these desires, the dragons used them against the humans, enslaving them, but when the gem got stolen, it was all over.
Dragons are still looking for it, and humans wish never to be found so that they do not go through the same thing again.
Princess Edith, after a family tragedy, she will be forced to go in search of the gem. Through the journey of investigation, she will discover that she possesses special powers that she did not know that she has until that moment.
Drake is the Dragon King's son and will be secretly sent to help Edith seek the gem.
Carrying his dark and heavy past on his back, he moves forward with his life with no regrets about his actions back then.
Everything is about to change.
“Hmm... Rhea, is it? Nice name.”
I froze as I heard the husky voice, and I felt tremors running down my spine.
I slowly raised my head and met the bluest eyes I had ever seen... Bluer than the ocean… So blue that they seemed to twinkle like twin pools of sapphire.
I ran my eyes over his entire figure. He was wearing a suit but didn’t look like the typical businessmen. For one thing, he was not clean shaved, and had a five o’clock shadow on his face. And I couldn’t figure out if his hair was stylishly messed up, or he just didn’t bother to do anything with it at all. Either way, it looked good. Too good! And those lips..
I was brought out of my fantasies when those oh so kissable lips turned up into a smirk. Uh huh!
I bit my lips, trying to bring myself out of the lust-filled haze I was falling into. There was just something about him, something so magnetic that I was losing all control of my thoughts. There seemed to be an aura of power and danger surrounding him. If I didn’t know any better, the one word I would say was ‘otherworldly’... but I knew better and just stopped myself in time from uttering the words ‘What are you?’.
