Snapdragon's cast is small but unforgettable. Snap herself is a firecracker—defiant, kind, and endlessly curious. Jacks, the 'witch,' is my favorite; she's gruff but secretly soft, teaching Snap about magic and confronting her own past. The dynamic between them is golden, especially as Jacks reveals her connection to Snap's family. Supporting characters like Lulu (Snap's mom) and Vita add depth, showing how love and resilience shape Snap's world. Even the ghost dog has personality! It's a story where every character, no matter how small, feels vital.
Snapdragon is this quirky, heartfelt graphic novel that feels like a warm hug with a side of supernatural charm. The protagonist, Snapdragon (or Snap for short), is this scrappy, curious kid who doesn't fit the mold—she's got this wild imagination and a knack for befriending outsiders. Then there's Jacks, the local witch everyone whispers about, who turns out to be this layered, lonely woman with a secret tied to Snap's family. Their bond becomes the heart of the story, especially as Snap learns about magic, family legacy, and the idea that 'weird' can be wonderful.
Other characters add so much flavor too. Like Snap's mom, Lulu, who's struggling but fiercely protective, and her absent dad, whose shadow looms over their lives. There's also Vita, Snap's best friend, who brings humor and loyalty to the mix. The way the story weaves their lives together—with themes of identity, grief, and found family—makes the cast feel so real. It's one of those books where even the side characters leave an impression, like the ghostly dog Good Boy (yes, a ghost dog!) who steals scenes with his eerie sweetness.

Sapphire - I had never seen a man as drop-dead gorgeous as Dylan. When his steel-grey eyes met mine, I knew I was in trouble. There was no way he would ever see me as anything other than Riley’s little sister. Fine, I am not ugly by any means, but I also know that with my blue hair and tattoos, most guys are turned off, and that doesn’t usually bother me, so why does it bother me regarding him? Of course, I would develop a crush on him. When he and two other teammates of Riley’s move in with us, I know I am in even deeper trouble. I swear, sometimes it appears that he is flirting, and what is with that pet name? There is no way Dylan is interested in me, is there?
Dylan - As soon as her sapphire blue eyes met mine, I knew she was mine. Her brother Riley was my best friend and teammate, so I knew this would be tricky. It became even trickier when I moved in with them. It didn’t take long for Riley to figure it out. Between my flirting and the pet name, I gave her more or less gave it away. We hashed out our problems, but then she was attacked. Now her stepfather has sent people after her; he has no idea who he is up against and who he pissed off. No one touches what is mine, and I claimed Sapphire that night in the bar. My precious jewel is that, MINE! He will regret trying to harm her; they all will.
When a wounded stranger washes up on her land, Saphire doesn’t hesitate—she saves him. But the man she pulls from the river isn’t just anyone. He’s an Alpha—Dante Moretti—and the moment he wakes, he claims her as his mate.
After three brutal rejections, Saphire wants nothing to do with fate, Alphas, or the pack that never accepted her. But as vampire attacks grow more precise and deadly, and tensions between packs begin to rise, walking away isn’t so simple anymore.
Now watched, judged, and pulled into a conflict she never asked for, Saphire must decide—keep fighting alone, or risk everything by standing beside the one she refuses to want.

The novel 'Juniper' centers around a few key characters who bring its hauntingly beautiful world to life. First, there's Juniper herself—a young girl with a mysterious past and an even more enigmatic future. Her resilience and quiet strength make her incredibly compelling, especially as she navigates the challenges thrown her way. Then there's her guardian, a gruff but deeply caring man named Elias, whose rough exterior hides a heart shattered by loss. Their dynamic feels so real, like two broken pieces trying to fit together.
The supporting cast adds layers to the story, like Juniper's friend Marigold, whose optimism contrasts beautifully with Juniper's guarded nature. And let's not forget the antagonist—though I won't spoil who it is—whose motives are unsettlingly human. What I love about these characters is how they don't just exist; they linger in your mind long after you've closed the book, like shadows at the edge of a campfire.
