Wait, are we counting the same thing? I've only ever seen three—the main trilogy. The 'Freshmen' books I always thought were a separate series, even if it's the same setting. It's like 'Harry Potter' and 'Fantastic Beasts'—connected but usually listed apart.

I read them on Kindle, and the series metadata definitely splits them. Searching 'Celeste Academy' on the store shows the trilogy as a complete set, and the duology as another. So technically, there are three books in the Celeste Academy series, and two books in a spin-off series. Depends how purist you wanna be about series naming conventions, I guess. I'd say three for the main story.

Ugh, this one's tricky because I had to go digging myself a while back. Most places list three main books: 'Celeste Academy: First Term,' 'Second Term,' and 'Third Term.' That seems to be the core trilogy following the main arc with the original characters.

But then there's the spin-off 'Celeste Academy: Freshmen' which is sort of a parallel story focusing on a new batch of students. It's a duology as far as I know. So if you're counting all novels set in the academy universe, that makes five. A lot of ebook bundles just sell the main three together, which adds to the confusion. I wish the author or publisher had a clearer series page somewhere.

My shelf has those five books, and I haven't seen announcements for more, so I'm sticking with that count until something new pops up.

Yeah, it's five total books in the universe. The main trilogy and then the 'Freshmen' duology. Both are worth reading if you like the magical school vibe, though the tone shifts a bit with the new cast. Just make sure you read the main three first to get the world-building.

What is the reading order for Celeste Academy books?

4 Answers2026-07-20 18:23:41
Well, let's see. The 'Celeste Academy' series can be a little confusing because the author, Clara Robertson, has published both a main trilogy and a bunch of side stories. The correct reading order I followed was to start with the trilogy: 'Celeste Academy: The Awakening', then 'Celeste Academy: The Shadow Trials', and finally 'Celeste Academy: The Crystal Throne'. After finishing those, I went back and read the novellas. 'Frost and Fire' takes place between the first two main books, and 'The Ghost of the East Tower' slots in before the final book. Honestly, I think reading the side stories after the trilogy is fine. Some people say you should read them in chronological order, but that interrupts the main plot's momentum. The novellas are fun, but they feel more like bonus content exploring side characters. You won't be lost if you save them for later, and the main trilogy has a much more satisfying narrative arc if you read it straight through.

Is Celeste Academy book worth reading for fantasy fans?

The Celeste Academy books honestly don't get enough attention in the online fantasy circles I'm in. I picked up the first one on a whim because the cover was nice, expecting some generic magical school fare, but I was surprised by how quickly the political maneuvering takes center stage. It's less about learning spells in class and more about navigating the hidden factions within the academy walls. The protagonist, Elara, starts off naive but her growth is tied directly to unraveling a conspiracy that goes way beyond the school grounds. The magic system is interesting too—it's based on celestial alignments and stellar affinities, which adds a layer of strategy and limits that keep the power creep in check. That said, the pacing can be a bit uneven. The middle of the first book drags with some bureaucratic academy politics before the real plot kicks into high gear. If you're looking for constant action, you might get impatient. But if you enjoy a slower build where the world and its power structures are carefully established, it pays off. The relationships between the students feel genuine, with alliances that shift based on information and circumstance, not just destined friendships. I found myself really invested in who was telling the truth and who was playing a long game. I'd recommend it to fans of series like 'The Scholomance' or 'The Atlas Six', where the academy is as much a trap and a political entity as it is a school. Just go in knowing it's a deliberate, detailed series, not a quick popcorn read. The later books expand the scope dramatically, making the initial academy setting just the foundation for a much larger conflict.

I can tell you 'Zodiac Academy' is one of those series that keeps expanding. The current count is 8 main books, with the last one, 'The Awakening As Told By The Boys,' shaking things up by switching perspectives. The series dives into the lives of twin heirs navigating a magical academy filled with rivalries, dark secrets, and, of course, steamy slow-burn romance. What makes it addictive isn’t just the page count but how the authors, Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti, weave twists into every book. There are also spin-offs like 'Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac,' set in the same universe. If you’re into enemies-to-lovers with a paranormal edge, this series is a rabbit hole worth falling into. Just be warned—once you start, you’ll be counting down days for the next release like the rest of us.

How many books are in the Academy Adventures series?

The Academy Adventures series is one of those hidden gems that I stumbled upon while browsing through a local bookstore a few years back. At first glance, it looked like your typical magic-school setup, but the way the author weaves together character dynamics and world-building really hooked me. From what I've gathered, there are currently seven books in the main series, with each one expanding the lore in unexpected ways. The first three focus on the protagonist's early years, while the later entries dive into political intrigue and darker themes. Rumor has it the author might be working on an eighth installment, but nothing's confirmed yet. What I love about this series is how it balances standalone adventures with an overarching narrative. You could technically jump into book four, 'The Shadow Pact,' without feeling completely lost, but reading them in order adds so much depth. The sixth book, 'Echoes of the Forgotten,' even ties back to a minor detail from the first novel—talk about payoff! If you're into magical academies with a side of mystery, this series is worth checking out. Just be prepared to lose sleep once you hit the cliffhanger in book five.

How many books are in the Fortune Academy series?

As a die-hard fan of fantasy and academy-themed novels, I've devoured every bit of the 'Fortune Academy' series and can confidently say there are five books in total. The series kicks off with 'Fortune Academy: Year One,' introducing us to a world where magic and destiny collide in the most unexpected ways. Each subsequent book builds on the lore, with 'Year Two' and 'Year Three' delving deeper into character arcs and political intrigue. 'Year Four' takes a darker turn, setting the stage for the epic finale in 'Year Five.' What I love about this series is how it balances action, romance, and world-building. The author doesn’t shy away from complex relationships or moral dilemmas, making it a standout in the genre. If you’re into magic schools with a twist, this series is a must-read. The fifth book wraps up the story beautifully, leaving just enough room for spin-offs or sequels.

How many books are in the Nathaniel Hawthorne Academy series?

it's been a wild ride. From what I've gathered, there are three main books in the series. The first one is 'The Forbidden Library', which sets up the whole magical academy vibe. Then comes 'The Midnight Maze', where the stakes get higher, and the characters really start to develop. The final book is 'The Crown of Shadows', which wraps up the story in a satisfying way. There's also a prequel novella called 'The Lost Letters', but it's not essential to the main plot. The series has a great mix of mystery, magic, and coming-of-age themes, and it's definitely worth checking out if you're into that kind of thing.

I can tell you this series is a rollercoaster of magic, drama, and addictive storytelling. The main series consists of 8 books, with each one building on the intense rivalry, romance, and power struggles between the Heirs and the Vega twins. The titles follow a celestial theme, like 'The Awakening' and 'Sorrow and Starlight,' and the final book, 'Heartless Sky,' wraps up the saga. Beyond the core books, there are also spin-off novellas and companion stories, like 'The Big A.S.S. Party' and 'Zodiac Academy: The Awakening as Told by the Boys,' which add extra layers to the world. The authors, Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti, really know how to keep readers hooked with their blend of dark academia, fae politics, and slow-burn romance. If you're into fantasy with bite, this series is a must-binge.
