I'm a big fan of storming oil rigs in 'Palworld', and for me it always comes down to roles rather than trying to bring the flashiest pals. Start with a solid tank that soaks up turret and boss hits — something with heavy physical defense and taunt-like skills so it draws fire away from your squishies. Pair that with a long-range DPS pal that can snipe turrets and distract the boss from a distance; ranged pals that have knockback or stun are huge for taking pressure off the team.
Next, I always bring a flying pal for mobility. Oil rigs are full of platforms, gaps, and chutes, and a flyer with a grappling or
dash ability can reach sniper perches or get to loot fast. Also, a water or
Ice-type support helps a ton because fires and oil slicks pop up mid-fight — having a pal that can douse flames or slow enemies makes the whole run less chaotic. Finally, round it out with an explosive or heavy-hitter pal that excels at breaking armored points and dealing burst to the boss once turrets are neutralized.
Prep matters as much as pal choice: buff your pals' HP and defense, bring plenty of healing items, and equip your pals with gear that boosts their role (range for snipers, armor for tanks). When I take this composition in, runs feel methodical instead of frantic, and I usually leave the rig with most of the loot intact — it's satisfying to watch a plan
come together.
