Draco AU-centric stuff has kind of scattered a bit lately. AO3 is the main library, but I've seen a massive surge of these on Tumblr, actually. Writers will post a premise or a 'what if' and then link to a Google Doc or a Carrd site with the full fic. It's more chaotic to navigate, but the energy is wild. There's a whole subculture of 'Dark Academia AUs' and 'Royalty AUs' for Draco that thrives in those image-heavy, moodboard-style posts.
Wattpad has some too, but the quality is a real mixed bag—you have to wade through a lot of cringe to find the gems. The algorithm there pushes certain popular tropes hard, so you see a lot of repetitive 'bad boy Draco' or 'mafia boss Draco' stories.
The best hub I've found for AU Draco fics is definitely Archive of Our Own. The tagging system there is absolutely insane in the best way—you can filter for 'Alternate Universe - No Magic' or 'Muggle AU' or 'Coffee Shop AU' and just go down the rabbit hole. People get so creative; I've read everything from Draco as a disgraced Olympic figure skater to him running a pretentious art gallery. It feels like every possible permutation of Draco Malfoy's soul exists on there somewhere.
That said, I've also had luck on FanFiction.net, though the search function is, uh, a little more manual. The stories tend to be older there, so you'll find a lot of classic tropes from the mid-2000s—Draco as a vampire, Draco as a Veela, those sorts of things. It has a certain nostalgic charm, and sometimes the longer-running stories that predate AO3 are absolute masterpieces of the genre.
For specifically high-quality, well-written AU Draco content, I'd stick to AO3. The platform's culture rewards thorough tagging and complex character studies, which is perfect for AUs that really try to re-contextualize Draco's entire personality. It's where you find the slow-burn coffee shop AUs that deconstruct class prejudice, or the historical AUs that explore his family's legacy. The comment culture there also encourages writers to go deep, so the stories often feel more complete and considered than on other, more fast-paced sites.

Weirdly, the biggest series I've found for that specific ship were all on Archive of Our Own. There's a long-running one called 'Draco's Gryffindor Mistake' that's essentially a massive rewrite from third year onward, and it has a huge following in the Drarry tags, but the comments are full of people shipping Draco and Ron harder than the main pairing.
Sometimes the most dedicated spaces aren't about the most common pairings. The search function on AO3 is your friend because you can filter by the Draco Malfoy/Ron Weasley relationship tag, then sort by word count. That's how I dug up a 400k-word slow-burn enemies-to-lovers thing that started on FanFiction.net years ago but the author migrated it over and continued it on AO3. Tumblr's also a good hub for finding links to shorter series, but the actual reading experience is usually hosted elsewhere.
You have to be willing to wade through a lot of Drarry to find the good Dramione or Ron/Draco stuff, honestly.
Every major fanfic site has its own little ecosystem for AUs. Archive of Our Own is the most comprehensive by far—just filter by Alternate Universe under the 'tags' section for Draco Malfoy characters. You can get super granular, too: Hogwarts AU, Muggle AU, Coffee Shop AU, the works. Tumblr is weirdly great for niche AU prompts and shorter drabbles; writers will tag things like 'slytherindrarry au' or 'vampire draco au' and you can fall down a rabbit hole for hours.
I find Wattpad's search less reliable, but if you stumble on a good Draco writer there, they often have a whole series of AU one-shots. The key is knowing what flavor of alternate universe you want. Are you after a complete world rebuild, like a Regency romance or a pirate adventure, or just a tweak, like Draco being raised by Sirius Black? The tags reflect that.
Honestly, half my favorite Draco-in-an-AU finds have been from people reccing stuff on r/drarry or specific Discord servers. The community is the best curator.
