I've actually found most dedicated Naruto fanfic readers just stick to Archive of Our Own these days. The tagging system lets you filter exactly what you're looking for, and the 'Naruto/Sakura' tag has like 18,000 works last I checked. Some are pretty old but the fandom's still active. A lot of authors who used to post on FanFiction.Net have migrated their popular SasuSaku-turned-NaruSaku fics over there because the interface is better for long, novel-length stories. Wattpad has them too but the quality's more hit-or-miss; you get some great hidden ones, but also a ton of one-shots written by younger fans. Surprisingly, I've stumbled across some really well-plotted ones on Quotev, of all places. It's not a primary hub, but the community around specific ships there can be weirdly dedicated.

AO3 definitely feels like the main library now. The collections and bookmark notes other readers leave are super helpful for sifting through the mountain of content. Makes finding a good slow-burn or a postwar fix-it fic way less of a chore.

Mostly AO3. Their system is just superior for anything ship-specific. You can exclude pairings you hate and find exactly the tropes you want—enemies to lovers, childhood friends, that kind of thing. It's all there. FFN has a bigger archive numerically, but it's harder to navigate and half the summaries are in all caps. The ship's still got a solid base, so new stuff pops up regularly if you sort by date updated.

FFN still has the classics, honestly. If you want the big epic fics that defined the ship like 'The Girl from Whirlpool' or 'Team 7's Ascension: Blood Wings', that's where they live. The search is a pain and the site looks like it's from 2003, but there's a certain charm to scrolling through pages of fics sorted by favorites. It's where I read my first NaruSaku story back in like 2007. The community reviews on those old fics are a time capsule. You don't really get that on newer sites.

I wouldn't bother with Wattpad for this specific pairing unless you're into high school AUs or reader-insert stuff. The algorithm pushes different things. Tumblr and Twitter (or X, whatever) are where you find the artists and the oneshot dumps, but linking to actual stories usually just points you back to AO3 anyway.

Man, trying to pin down a single platform for Sasori/Sakura fics is a journey. This ship's community is scattered, maybe 'cause it's a less common pairing. AO3 is probably the biggest central hub these days, where longer, plot-heavy fics tend to gather. You can find some absolute bangers there with amazing world-building. That said, don't sleep on fanfiction.net for the classics. A lot of the foundational 'SasoSaku' fics from the mid-2000s are still archived there, and sometimes the old guard never cross-post. The tagging is a mess compared to AO3, though, so prepare for some manual searching. I've also stumbled upon dedicated threads for them on sites like SpaceBattles and Sufficient Velocity, but those are more for discussion and fic snippets rather than complete stories. Tumblr can be surprisingly good for shorter headcanon drabbles and moodboards that fuel the imagination, even if it's not a platform for hosting multi-chapter epics.

Archive of Our Own has the biggest collection these days, no question. The tagging system means you can sort by kudos or comments and find the top-rated stuff instantly, which is honestly a lifesaver. I’ve been on there for years, and the quality of writing you can find for this pairing is pretty high, especially for longer, more character-focused fics. Sometimes I'll check FanFiction.Net out of nostalgia, but the organization feels clunky now. There's also a surprisingly active pocket on Quotev, which I stumbled into last year. It skews younger and has more chat-style fics, but that can be fun for a quick read. Wattpad has some too, but you really have to dig through the tags to find the good ones among all the reader inserts.
