If you’re into found-family tropes with a side of chaos, 'Franky Family' is a gem. The story revolves around a makeshift family cobbled together by circumstance—Franky, a former enforcer with a soft spot for strays, ends up 'adopting' a bunch of oddballs after a botched job. There’s Mei, the sharp-tongued pickpocket; Biggs, the gentle giant who’s terrible at lying; and my personal favorite, Rico,
the ex-circus performer with a knack for explosives. Their antics are equal parts ridiculous and touching, like when they accidentally rescue a rival gang’s mascot (a goose, of all things) and have to negotiate its return.
The plot thickens when Franky’s past catches up, revealing why he’s so desperate to keep this ragtag crew safe. It’s got heists, betrayals that aren’t what they seem, and a climax where the whole family pulls off a con so elaborate it’d make 'Ocean’s
Eleven' blush. What sticks with me, though, is how the story balances slapstick with quiet moments—like Franky teaching Mei to drive, or the group cramming into a tiny apartment for makeshift holidays. It’s messy, heartfelt, and utterly bingeable.
